Inside the Developers Studio Series, That’s a Wrap

Posted by Patrick Seybold // Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media

We’re wrapping up our Inside The Developers Studio series for now, we’ll likely revisit a second series here in the near future. We hope you found it interesting. Our intent with this series from the beginning was to simply provide you with a little more access and insight into the people and personalities that are influencing and shaping the games you and I love to play.

I want to extend a special thanks here to all the developers that lent us their time, to not only answer our questions, but to answer yours too in the many of the comment threads. If you missed any of the posts in this series, I’m linking to all of them here now, and as you’ll see, we have a new banner above that links to this collection too, so until we pick this back up, enjoy everyone!

when will we be able to use xmb during gameplay? Are we going to get any demos during E3?

Awesome conference Sony, you guys really stole the show. All that was expected (minus rumble) and more!

MGS and Killzone were phenomenal, and Home is always improving.

Now if we could only get some demos on that store…

Amazing day…just amazing. Best E3 for years. so many good games coming ot ps3 that i will be poor for 6 months.
I was reliefd when they said that mgs4 is a ps3 exclusive but just a minute after that there was news from konamis letter that had a poem that suggest about something….ofcourse all the x0 players were thrilled “OMGITSMGS4TOXBOX360″. Only time will tell, but i hope that its not the case. this is a exclusive that ps3 needs!

Brilliant job! I was already happy I spent that £429 at launch, E3 conference just solidified it. This blog is great, hope it keeps going on strong.

it feels a little disappointing to see the psp on the front.

i guess i felt a little ambitious myself about the impact of this E3 on the ps3 growth and was hoping for you to convey that to us fans.

the new psp looks pretty sick but it’d still hardly new and groundbreaking, not at all what i was expecting when i excitedly clicked on my bookmark for this blog.

not a letdown, don’t get me wrong. looks like you guys are still up to great work, just doesn’t feel as confident.

The Inside the Developers Studio Series was great. I hate to see it go. Might we see a return for TGS 07?

Thank you.

I hope that you will continue this series with additional interviews at the same developers, but with different members of the team.

However, it would be nice if the questions weren’t so canned. I would like to see interviews that are tailored to each game and each developer instead of just the same ones for all.

CAN ANYONE AT SONY ANSWER?
why does the PSP have infra-red? it’s the biggest mystery about the PSP!
was it supposed to become some fancy PS3 Blu-Ray remote? can still happen with wifi though “interactive blu-ray remote”.

why spend $1 extra if you have WIFI? it’s one of those business related mysteries half of sony doesn’t know about.

I don’t know if this should be in here but I come up with something for the next F1 game. I thought of an good way to start your Career mode In Formula One. You start with three chassis and have to hire two driver to drive two of your chassis build your way to top by winning races, sponsorships. By using the money and sponsors to put back into you team by upgrading your chassis with new and better engines, suspension system, aerodynamics, brakes, cambers, etc. if you have an sponsor like Jaguar, they will give you engines and help you get to the top.
