Yes, The Heavenly Sword Demo is Coming …

Hi, this is Kyle, I’m a producer here at SCEA’s Santa Monica Studios. One of the titles I am working on, and quite frankly playing most often, is Heavenly Sword. I’ve read a lot of your comments on this blog about this title and I’m happy to confirm the reports that we’ll have a downloadable demo coming this week to the PLAYSTATION Store.
The complete game is still set for September, but I think you’ll find this demo is a great sample of what’s in store and it’ll certainly give you a good idea of the look and feel of the game. To set the stage here, at the beginning of this demo, our heroine, Nariko, gains consciousness after a violent encounter with the evil King Bohan and his army. Nariko learns that Bohan is holding her father, Shen, prisoner inside a massive temple complex so she sets out to fulfill her destiny and embarks on a quest for vengeance against the invading King and his army.
Keep a lookout for the demo on the PLAYSTATION Store this week, I’m anxious to read what you guys think of it.

i can see them not being able to do it in old games that maybe weren’t prepared for in-game XMB, but since they’re doing it in Home, i don’t see why they couldn’t do it for future titles…

Nice work man! Thank you very much. I imagine that as a producer you should know which games may arrive next and that have not even been mention and that is so cool.
Off topic: I just got Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 for PS2 and Resistance. Happiest man alive!

All I can say is “its about time” Its been frustrating seeing Live users get demos every week of good games and we get useless trailers. Hopefully from now on we get at least a demo a week.

With no Jump button I feel this will be too much like Mark of kri… Yes, folks, that’s a bad thing. I will, however, stay optomistic about it and I’m going to buy it no matter what… I support Sony’s in house exclusives to the fullest. Here’s hoping Sony will release Eightdays next year if I buy enough of these in house games. “ha”

I hope you can address the PlayStation Store issues on mainly third-party support. Today XBOX Live just received a NASCAR 08 and All-Pro Football 2K8. I want All-Pro Football 2K8 but how am I supposed to see if it’s any good? Look at that link to see the multiplatform E3 demos they received and we didn’t. I like you Sony and I don’t want you falling behind. Please, get every multiplatform demo that Live has and then get more.

Is there any chance the demo will be out in NA or just Europe. All I have heard is that it will be only in Europe so I hope for a NA version also.
On another note not having to do any thing with this game. Is the Darkness demo going to come out in NA also. As of right now it is only out on the Europe servers.
