Given all the content and interest here on Lair, I figured you guys would also be interested to hear that the North American version of Lair has completed its development and is now in manufacturing! That means that we are on track for our August 14 release date. It goes without saying that we’re eager to get this out to those of you that have been waiting so patiently (or not!) for it to arrive. Considering the new PS3 price and now Lair, hopefully there’s even more of a reason to scoop up a PS3 if you haven’t already!
For us, there’s still a bit of work to do, as we have localization to finish up for Europe, Japan, Korea, and more, which will all hopefully follow very soon. Once those are out, our leaderboards will truly be global, and then we can see once and for all who the best Lair players are out there! The gauntlet has been thrown, and North American players are getting Lair first, so don’t give that advantage away…
We also have some great updates for the official Lair site that will be live soon, so keep an eye out for those …

Lair will move systems, no doubt. Is there any plans for Lair PSN store stuff? You know Dragon armor so forth?

I would love to get a demo. Currently, Lair is a rental for me. Playing the demo may make me buy the game.

Wow! August 14th? I didn’t realize it was coming out so soon. Ha, I’m not sure I’ll have enough money to get all these great games coming out in the next few months!
This game is great and I know that I am going to by it. But for the guys at Sony I know the producer or someone who works on the game said the demo might be released after the release but I think you guys should try and find a way to get the demo before the release. Especially for the people who do not know about the game it will be a great way for them to try it out and get excited over it. I also believe that this game will be the first big game of PS3’s line up following Warhawk Heavenly Sword Ratchet and Clank etc..

Because the point of a demo is to have it before the game comes out, to see if you like it. This is why I will not be buying Lair until I get to try the demo.

if you guys release the Demos anytime soon, I hope you have them up and running on all the kiosk around America and EU, so that non PS3 owners can see the power of the system and how great of a game this will be,

I really love factor5 games like rogue squadrons! Their one of the most enjoyable flyfighter games that ive ever played and the idea in lair is fresh, not too used like most of games nowadays.
This is a must buy for me.

Quick question, which is more or less about all PS3 games… Will Lair be able to receive patches and/or DLC? I ask this just because I know bugs always turn up in any game.
I know that on the Xbox 360 all games are able to be patched but Resistance and Motorstorm are the only PS3 games I’ve seen receive a patch.
Laid developer Julian Eggebrecht stated quite clearly in an interview not too far back that they have not worked on a demo and won’t do so until the final game is complete. So… no demo before the game ships, unfortunately.
August 14th! I’m so relieved it wasn’t delayed again. Getting it day 1 for sure.

I was playing on the offical Lair site a it said that dragons weigh in at 40 tons. That is a big ol flying beast of fire breathing, man eating, I will eat and burn you all fun that launches in 20 days.

Yeah a demo is top priority right now (assuming the game is really good!) and it’s got to hit soon or the release date will pass and kids go back to school, game does bad..
