SOCOM 3 Map Pack #2 Descriptions and Screenshots

We hope that this post will get your weekend off on the right foot.

Below please find descriptions of the maps from SOCOM 3 Map Packs #2, including screenshots. The exact date of availability has yet to be announced, but we can tell you that it will be soon and that the cost will again be $5.99.

Thanks very much to all of you for your patience- we hear you on the blog comments and have a human reading them daily (usually more than one actually). As we're sure you can imagine, it's a busy time.

Enjoy!

_______________

The SOCOM 3 Map Pack #2 contains four classic SOCOM maps: "Desert Glory", "Abandoned", "Blizzard" and "Blood Lake".

Desert_glory

Desert Glory (a screen from which is above) is set in a ruined town cluttered with demolished buildings and rubble in the high Turkmenistan Desert Mountains. It is playable with up to 16 players in Breach, Control, Demolition, Extraction and Suppression game types in a day or night setting.

Abandonded

Abandoned is set deep in the Thai jungle, with many ancient ruins and an intricate tunnel system which spans the terrain. It is playable with up to 16 players in Control, Demolition, Extraction and Suppression game types in a day or night setting.

Blizzard

Blizzard is set in the Alaskan Klondike around an old gold dredge. Small buildings, cabins and trees scatter the landscape. It is playable with up to 16 players in Control, Demolition, Extraction and Suppression game types in a day or night setting.

Blood_lake

Blood Lake is set around a mercenary camp located next to a lake in the lush, mountainous jungles of Congo. It is playable with up to 16 players in Control, Demolition, Escort, Extraction and Suppression game types in a day or night setting.

With the new TBA 2008. Does this mean theres gonna be third person again? Any changes in the 4 other maps of being new changing to old maps? I personally rather see the game released as 10 maps. Cause 5 maps will get dull after few weeks. 10 maps have more fun replay value. Then have like 2 map packs later with 5 maps each. So in total it be 20 maps.

I see Slantsix took our complaints into effect as in delaying the game to put third person option in and other things.
