i already commented earlier, but if you wonder why it seems a little important to us..

it’s not so much that we want to be selfish and have that game only for us.. we care that exclusives stay exclusives to sell more consoles!!

Why you ask?

BECAUSE LATELY WE HAVE BEEN GETTING THE SHAFT FROM A LOT OF THIRD PARTY DEVS, SENDING THE BETTER VERSIONS TO THE 360 BECAUSE THERE’S MORE CONSOLES SOLD..

example, VF5 has online while we didn’t.. and it looks better on the 360..

call of duty didn’t have online voice support, fear’s graphics totally sucked for the ps3.. that football game settled for 30fps while 360 got 60fps, and a lot more

bottom line, if there is more consoles out there, third parties put a little more effort into games..

yes thank you for awesome first party games.. but we want A LOT of good games… if the 360 gets the better looking, and better features from third parties then why did we buy the “more powerful” console..??

we don’t want to wait till 2009 for third parties to start making the priority, we want it now.. and how can we achieve that when you can’t pass the 5 mil mark??

mgs4 would help that’s for sure, oh yeah and Square Enix it’s saying the same thing now… so FFXIII might be flying off too..

The press conference of MS suck real bad, they got nothing NEW. I just finish watching it live on G4tech.

MGS4 Exclusive to PS3 ! Eat that Xboxts!
Sony will crush them for sure.
MICROSOFT!, STOP LIVING IN THE PAST. Most of the good games at the conf. are coming to PS3 too.

I have to admit that Halo3 look awesome. But not as much I thought.

Yeah xbox360 E3 conference was garbage. Most of those games are coming on PS3 either the same time or after xbox gets it first. I will never leave PS3 . I dont think there sales stats was that impressive because i believe it was for only America. In Japan they not selling. Sony can beat them globaly. Halo3 looked awful.

Sony i hope you go out there later today and kick A@#!

P.S Looks like we will be getting MGS4 exclusive. Maybe Kojima came to his senses.

MGS4 trailer on PSN tommorow! I have never been so happy to download a trailer in my life.

Also I just got done watching the Microsoft press release on G4 and I have to say that they have nothing.

The best game that I watched was COD4 and we get that one to. Halo I dont care about, Im sure it will be good yet I think that it looked like crap in comparison to games like Heavenly Sword, Lair and Uncharted.

Sony,
Microsoft left the door wide open for you to steal the show this year without any new games shown by you guys. We already know we get to see Killzone,and we cant wait. Drop one more bomb and 2007 will be yours.

Also I would love to see any news on Afrika tomorrow.

OMG just saw the 360 conference and WOW! it was amazing I could not believe what I was seeing so many new announcements and things to look forward too!!!

Uhhmm… WOW…… you know I am just kidding right….. lol.

That crap was so bad, that Sony could have a 10 min conference, announce rumble or something, and no one would complain. So sad… :-)

Thank GOD there was no MGS4 announcement at MS’s press conference. That was really my biggest concern, as well as crap tons of others out there. Well, maybe finding out that RE5 was exclusive would have sucked, but no worry there.

But did anyone else hold their breath and almost crap a brick when they were talking about the Japanese developers and then cut to the RE5 trailer? When I saw that trailer begin I thought it was MGS4 for a split second….a run down 3rd-world country town setting….Talk about a sigh of relief when I saw that it was Resident Evil.

So yeah….with the lack of any form of momentum from that MS conference, I have all of the faith in the world that the Sony conference will blow it away. There will be loads more big and exciting announcements and compared to last years conference the only way to go is up. In the very least, it couldn’t be any worse than MS’s.

You guys will rock in comparison to the M$ conference right? The filled their time with useless statistics *useless because they have had a console out for a year longer…*. I would like to think the Sony conference will be more meaningful.

As a loyal PS owner from the PS1 and never owning an Xbox even as a second alternative, I am finding it hard to believe that Sony has dropped the ball this easily.

You top guys can keep sitting around and making all your bad decisions all day long and not pay any attention to these blogs and boards. In the end though we are SCREAMING what you have to do to keep your Playstation name from ending up like Sega. If not careful Sony will be a name that ends up just on games made for multi-platforms and not game systems themselves.

I know we should be happy to hear such good news and you guys probably don’t think you can catch a break, but what you need is tough love. To have screwed up so royally to begin with you have a heck of a whole lot to prove.

We, the Playstation faithful, are watching.

just saw the ms press conference on g4tv and i noticed that they were really pushing multiplatform games (nothing original). plus they had no real news. i thought they would at least talk about the new keyboard add-on. but no. all they did was go on talking about xbox live and how no other console can compete with it.

basically. the whole show was full of pr bull. the only new news i could get out of the event was pg4 will have bikes (big woop) , the’ll be remaking gears of war for the pc, and the’ll be coming out with a mate green sku to comemorate the release of halo 3 ( the color looked hideous).

all sony has to do is show all the new realeses coming out this year.none of that multiplatform stuff.talk about the psn and how they’re moving with it.show a mgs 4 trailer. and the’ll own this years e3

MS’s conference presentation truly SUCKED. There were no big surprises whatsoever, and they focused mainly on four games that will be released on the PS3 as well, (Madden, Assassins Creed, GTA4, and Call of Duty 4) so it is not going to help the 360. They mentioned NOTHING about a price drop, MGS 4, or the smaller chipset. They might very well have handed Sony the lead this holiday, if that is all that they have to offer, because Sony will no doubt come out swinging on Tuesday

I am a SONY fanboy even though I have a 360 in my household. Still think GOW 1 & 2 are best adventure games from last and this gen.

Its been less than a yr from release and people are trying to count PS3 out. 360 didn’t have a blockbuster until Gears and none since (Saints, Lost Planet & Crackdown are good games but not system sellers).

But the multi-platform games play similar or worst than 360 (i.e. Rainbow 6…good game but no lobbies…what’s up with that). Like Team Ninja said, get other developers to either stop being “lazy” or give them the help they need to produce games worth being on PS3.

With that said, MS only has 3 games that are worth the $$$….Halo 3 (their real money maker considering MS mentioned it like 3-4 times), BioShock and Mass Effect. The rest was crap (Scene It, Viva Pinada mini games….please). They also focused on Vista….come on….no one is upgrading until at least service pack 2-3 unless you’re one of the poor suckas who bought or will buy a PC soon.

Nintendo….while a childhood fav….has just too many mini games packed for $50….nothing of substance (Mario Galaxy is it).

SONY……just make sure Lair, WarHawk, Heaven Sword, Metal Gear, Killzone 2 & FF are as good as can be. Also please keep games exclusive….you already lost DMC4 and RE4. AND PLEASE drop more content for PSN like movies, etc (which I assume you’re waiting for HOME to drop before that).

It’s crunch time….like last gen, best hardware doesn’t mean [DELETED] unless you have games to back it.

That was hilarious. Especially the slience in the audience right after he said that.

Great game and all…but at an E3 press conference?!?! That is going down as a classic in the annals of dumb things said at E3.

Kinda horrible for MS that the comment I mentioned is the main thing I remeber from the conference.

Good Lord…..Sony, I think it is a virtual impossibility that you will let us down during your conference. I can’t wait.

Oh and this is awesome by the way, keep up the good work. I hope you guys have the rest of that Resident Evil 5 trailer at your press confrence tomorrow. I heard what MS showed was only part of it. I am assuming the good folks at Sony get “part 2″ of the trailer for their press confrence and then both the Playstation and Xbox fans get to download the full trailer from the PSstore or XBLM on the 26th. This MGS4 deal is awesome by the way, you guys should do more stuff like this with the store.

In general, I’d love to see more exclusives for PS3. If anything, the MS press conference games montage over at gametrailers.com is a demonstration of how good MS has become at luring 3rd party developers to develop for their platform. It made me sad!

The most attractive thing on PS for me is that “crazy Japan feel” you sense behind the games. When I see games like “Beautiful Katamari” and “Naruto” or developers like Koei, Square Enix and Konami heading for the MS camp, what still separates PS from MS?

I sincerely hope you guys can demonstrate the difference on your press conference.

I apologize for all the MGS4 exclusive spammers, it is really offensive to suggest that the PS3-MGS4=Xbox 360.
To be blunt, the PS3 is THE destination for EXCLUSIVE gaming. Bioshock? Will be playing it on my PC. Gears of War? Will be playing on my PC. Halo 3? Oh yeah. I will be playing that on my PC. I will buy them all in a bargain bin at Walmart for $30 or so a year or 2 from now. Yeah, I can wait ’cause I will be playing tons of true console exclusives on my PS3 in the meantime.
It is easy to understand why people forget the other PS3 exclusives. There are so many of them Ratchet, God of War, Resistance, Singstar e.t.c.,e.t.c.
The MGS Spammers will tell you that Singstar doesn’t sell systems, O’rly?
In terms of technology, I can’t do without Remote Play, Blu Ray & Network Gaming which I haven’t paid a penny for yet.
The MGS spammers represent like they are the true PS Nation but they don’t seem to appreciate Playstation at all.

Glad to see MS didn’t show this game at their conference. Sony’s slowly catching up with the pack. And the price drop was a great catalyst as well. Hopefully the next one’s coming pretty soon. You guys just need some rad games. And add some in-game XMB access and do something to compete with the 360’s acheivement system.

Really? 5.1? I can’t wait to see the XMB play 5.1 and not downmix! Finally! Now we just need to figure out what 5.1 encoding the XMB likes. O yeah MGS4 rocks too … No just kidding, I can’t wait for this game I bought a PS3 for this game I reserved and paid this game off well in advance as well. Now we just need the TouchSense SIXAXIS and we can enjoy MGS4 the way it was meant to be.
I know Sony said they won’t pay for exclusive games but this is one of those games that is worth it!

I think Sony should invest several million to secure MGS4 as a permanent exclusive, because this game counts more than any of the first party titles they are investing hundreds of millions to develop and market.
