You made your point; and very clearly I might say. You are right the 360 has been out a year. But it is because of that head start Sony should work harder. Most of their anticipated games wont be out until 2008. The problem with this is that 360 is dishing out some major titles before the holidays. This will boost their sales for this December. They bombed at E3. Sony did the best and impressed the hell out of me. I used to own a PSP but ended up selling it to my cousin a reduced cost because I rarely have time for handheld games. Being 20 and having a full-time office job, going to college, having a girlfriend and friends DRASTICLY eats away at my time. So what time I do have (at least 10 hours a week) on games I spend with my consoles. (PS2, now it’s PS3)
BUT with this information about it being slimmer and can connect to TVs, it makes it easier carrying that around on road trips than my console (which I package as if it were a nuclear bomb….. SECURE AND TIGHT)

KUDOS to Sony making MGS4 an exclusive, hopefully the new Final Fantasy XIII trademark (3 titles for 3 games, two of which are on the PS3 and there won’t be one for the psp as square enix has said. Hopefully that third wont go to 360… lets hope it a Playstation store mini game or something) isn’t going to be made for the 360.

I see your point but you forget that the 360 was out for over a year before PS3.

And a title like MGS4 gives the console the push it needs.

Of course there is the revenue, and the companies are made to make money, but if a company sees potential, then they might keep with one console over the other.

Konami knows that half the people that like MGS will buy the console just for that game so it is a good start.

I don´t know if I made my point.

Let me put it this way.

With a company keeping a game an exclusive, more money goes to the development or more and better PS3 Exclusive games. The truth is, 360 has more units sold than PS3 over all. If a company is losing money because they spent 3 million dollars making a game for both systems, and they are making MORE money with the 360 BECAUSE OF UNITS SOLD. Why would they make games for PS3?

If I were head of a game company and it came down to where I make my money, I would go with the system selling the most, and has the most produced over all.

THE SAME THING MOST GAME COMPANIES ARE DOING NOW; SWITCHING OVER BECAUSE OF REVENUE STATISTICS.

In the long run, this will cause Sony to later have to pay more money getting exclusive titles. WHEN CONSUMERS SEE THAT THE PS3 IS LACKING FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS THEY WILL EVENTUALLY SWITCH OVER TOO BECAUSE OF 360 HAVING PS3 TITLES FOR THE 360 SUCH AS METAL GEAR, BUT ALSO A WIDER SELECTION OF VIDEO GAMES.

Go to a Blockbuster or Hollywood video… PS3 games are limited to FPS games, or movie games. Harry Potter (sucked) Transformers (got boring) Spider Man 3 (poorly created as far as glitching goes) FANTASIC 4!

360 HAS MORE TYPES OF GAMES. IF SONY DOESN’T HANG ON TO THEIR BEST TITLES, WHY SHOULD 360 USERS WANT TO BUY A PS3?... I know a lot of people who have PS3s now after they bought the 360 because of specific titles (9 people is a lot considering the price of both units) WHY SHOULD IT WORK THE OTHER WAY?

OVER ALL POINT:

THE MORE MONEY SONY MAKES THROUGH GAMES AND ACCESSORIES, THE MORY SONY CAN GROW, THE MORE THE PS3 CAN GROW. IF YOU CAN GET THE SAME THING ON 360 AS PS3, YOU CAN GET A 120 GIG, MORE THAN THE 80, SYSTEM FOR 130 DOLLARS LESS (80 GIG) OR 30 DOLLARS LESS (60 GIG)

I just hope Sony hangs on to exclusives, and that the price drop increases sales of the PS3

THIS IS NOT A SONY BASHING, THIS IS HOW THE MARKET IS GOING AND FEARS BROUGH UP BY SONY SUPPORTERS AND MYSELF. BLU-RAY HOLDS MORE INFO AND FUTURE GAMES WILL PROVE THE PS3 IS BY FAR THE GREATEST SYSTEM. BUT!!!! SONY HAS TO SURVIVE LONG ENOUGH TO PROVE IT.

Why is everyone crying over metal gear solid? So what if xbox gets it, its not like we are going to lose it.... I mean if you are a true Sony supporter, than you should support the decisions that Sony makes. Keeping a game exclusive is hard since companies offer money, but think about it, games that are now being spread to xbox were from companies that sony brought up.... What makes you think that sony wont bring up better. newer exclusives that Microsoft would want in the future...? Its about the risk and by gaining newer games and experimenting with new exclusives Sony will win the consol war, because the other consols are going the safe rout with games that guarentee money, that doesnt mean that it will guarentee happyness. Sony is thinking ahead and thats a smart move. So far Microsoft has Halo, and Gears as exclusives but u dont see Sony trying to buy them out right? That shows that Sony isnt all about the money, they are about renevation, the future, and they are trying their best to make us consumers happy while doing so. Just be happy with what they do please, give it some trust...
