Hey, all. I wanted to extend KUDOS and our thanks to all the Warhawk Public Beta testers out there who contributed to tweaking and balancing the game so it truly becomes a game for the gamers – which is what Incognito’s goal was all along, right Dylan?
With that said, as a nod to the top Public Beta testers and top Public Beta forum posters – take a close look at several of the Warhawks and Nemesis aircraft flying about, you’ll find your names painted on the ships. Im sure lots of beta-testers did that , dont worry about that , i myself a reported like 4 or 5 bugs that i was able to find or the bugs found me.
For example i was about to jump off a wall down because i saw an enemy , instead i went trough the surface and died.
You should be gratefull that there was a beta.

Perhaps, UCIGASU, you don’t know what a Beta is for. There is always a Beta period for a program, whether you write it yourself or it’s by teams of people at some mega-corporation. The difference here was that it was released to a select few of the unwashed. I didn’t participate in it, nor did I even know about it until after it was done, so I have nothing to be grateful for.
Nor, coolasj19, am I jealous. I have no use for a pin, and while the boxart is certainly nice, I have enough stuff on my walls as it is, thanks.
The point is that a Beta isn’t about getting a high score, or it shouldn’t be. And especially when it has been admitted that many of the testers ‘cheated’ by using some now-withdrawn features to get a higher score, solely rewarding high scorers makes me wonder about the real purpose behind this ‘Public Beta Testing’. Why not reward those who actually tried to improve the game, not shoot down the most planes?

Heavenly Sword is suppose to be a huge title for PS3 that will try sell systems and take away sales from Halo 3.
With that said. I just read the UK IGN rating for Heavenly Sword, and the guy gave it a 7.0. Come on whats going on here. He said the graphics are sweet, the animation and sound is good, but the game gets repetitve and theirs some problems with the combat.
I really hope the US version of Heavenly Sword isnt this bad. I was hoping Heavnely Sword would get a middle to high 9, because if it doesnt, why even hype the game and release it.
This game was suppose to be a game us fans can drop back on to help sales of the PS3, and reasure people the PS3 is better than 360.

Dylan, what is your responce to the lame review by PSM?? I for one was in the BETA, and I loved it…easily a 10 out of 10 in my book! I am picky when it comes to games, and I have beta tested a lot of games, and this by far is one hell of a game.

About that 30th release date,…that’s just for Europe. US release is still the 28th.

Thanks Mark for the confirmation of my observations. I’m not trying to bash Warhawk, I’ve pre-ordered my copy from Bast Buy (Blu-ray version on sale here in Canada for $40!), but merely pointing out an apparent fact. Your lack of protest speaks volumes.
As for that UC-something guy, valid criticism is just that: valid. If I owned stock in Sony or any other company, I wouldn’t want people to keep their mouths shut and just hope for something better. Think about it.
And that’s a pretty poor excuse for delaying the European release date: updating the PS Store somehow cannot be done out of schedule! Please, spare me. MS and Nintendo are having a good laugh at that one, guaranteed.

I played this game tonight. 4:30 am EST. and this game rocks. 10/10 for me. They were not kidding when they said non stop fighting. OMG. I hope they have a blog post tomorrow about the success of the game or something.

Yeah, ‘Ode to the Public Beta’. Yeah, the game’s workin real well right now, ain’t it? It’s been out for what, 3 days now, and been offline for, what, about 1/4 of the time? Shoulda not worried about hypin the game so much, worried more about fixin the online part of an online only game. Jeez.
