Nice update, but Sony, listen to me here.

You’ve had a skate demo for two weeks, where is it?
You’ve had a Lair demo forever, you said after release we get it, where is it?

yeah, we need more PS1 games in the US stores and I’m sure the Europeans would also like that as well, seriously. Looking at the JPN and HK stores.. (King of Fighters series, Resident Evil Director’s Cut) I drool with envy. You can make a lot of money with reselling PS1 classics given that the new PSP 2000 is out now too. I’m sure a lot of PSP owners would want to load up with the classics to play on the go. FF7 would be an instant hit. I wouldn’t mind buying FF9 as well as I haven’t played that yet. Not FF8 though, that was a stinker!

I don’t see the update in my PS Store, is something wrong?

And good job being on time with the NBA Live demo, Xbox just got it yesterday and we get it today. That’s how things should be from now on!

Otherwise, some more PS1 games would be cool (make it a plan to rip 3 PS1 games to the PS Store every week, just like the Virtual Console, and that’ll boost PSN). Lair, R&C, and Uncharted all deserve demos (not to mention a KillZone 2 beta, to compete with Halo 3).

Anyone know if Blockbuster is carrying Lair yet? or when? I want to rent it before buying cuz i’m thinking people are being too unfair about the sixaxis thing. I want to atleast figure that out without losing 65bucks. Thanks

Hi,you may not have heard of me but im Europe.You may remmeber releasing your PS3 here a few months back,but obviously from the updates its Store is recieving youv probly forgotten about us

Well I have a little complaint.The thing is,we would very much like to give you our money,but for some strange reason you dont seem to want to take it….

See,you dont seem to like releasing content over here.Content which we have wanted to download for over a month now (e.g. The Blast Factor Add On).Do you not like our currencies?Are you afraid of all these pound and euro symbols?

Now,I know we could just make a US account and get all those lovely demos and trailers,but we really shouldnt have to make a fake account just to do that.

What im trying to say is you should really look into making a unified Store for europe and america (you dont really need to include asia,but itd be nice if you did).Im sure Itd make us all a lot happier and stop us from contemplating the purchase of an Xbox360

What happened to the vehicle-add on for motorstorm????? We only get the crappy Coyote ugly crap.

O yeah, and a LAIR trailer from E3….that game has recieved so many bad reviews that i can’t imagine anyone buying it now without trying it first….i for one will def not.

Great show Sony, the EUR store at the moment is one big JOKE…an utter disgrace compared to XBL. The console has been out for more than 1 year, get it together or its the end of my PS gaming.

OK, here we go again,
The PS1 games are available in your LOCAL GAME SHOP!!!!!!! Why would you buy a 5-600 dollar console and whine about 15 year old games? Really, why would you do that? EU users should figure out how to get a US user so they can download US content. I have a Japan account so i will be downloading some of the PS1 titles somebody above me was whining about tonite. SONY thanks for the weekly update. I can alway rely on something new for me to download via remote play with my PSP from work!!!!! Lovin it and keep your head up, for every whiner you see posting here there is probably 5000 happy users just a waitin for the new games coming soon.

seriously - this is the SCEA blog, and doesn’t have anything to do with SCEE. if you have a problem with SCEE (which i can totally understand considering the recent “updates”), then either make a US account to download the free stuff or complain to them directly. either way, stay off of our US blog with your complaints. it’s gonna do as much good as me telling my dog what i want him to make me for dinner.

The lair demo has to get out there ASAP, cuz right now we’re only going by what the critics/media say about reviews, get that demo out to prove them wrong before its too late.

Cool! Sony. you changed u used to be havign demos 1 once a month, but it’s now 2-3 a week. u really do listen to us. Sony, y’all are incredible! and i respect what y’all are doing for us.dont give up because some people are whining. it’s like school people whine. keep up the good work

nice add-ons but a very poor decision to release nba live 08 demo when there is ALREADY a demo for nba 07.

now i have to avoid all the cries for the skate demo on the forums ANOTHER week.

kudos to the add-ons and media content but NO love to the suit who decided nba live 08 is a better demo over skate.

Are you OK? NBA 07 and NBA LIVE 08 are completely different products. NBA 07 is published by SCEA, while NBA live is published by Electronic Arts. Different products by different publishers.

Second..

Having the latest demo will sell me on the latest title. Why have a demo of madden 08, why not 07? Because for publishers to encourage us to go out and replace our old version with the latest one, they will put up a demo of the LATEST ONE.

Still waiting for Ratchet and Clank demo….. the european store is always so poor…. the best would be, every week:

1) 1 game (PSN little games, even classics form SNK, Capcom or dunno…. the 50mb ones i mean)

2) 1-2 PS1 classic (very fun, europen never gets those… and when it gets them, they have problems and disappear forever ;P… i’m joking, but would be good at least 1 ps1 game sometimes)

3) 1-2 demos (lack of demos!!!!) and when there’s an addon –> 1 demo and 1 addon

4) 1-2 trailers (too many trailers and no game/demos aren’t good at all….)

5) not necessary but.. why european store hasn’t wallpapers? =O i know i can use a pendrive or so…. but i’d like to get original wallpapers directly from the store

Europeans: just make a American PSN ID. its FREE!!!!

also, most of the things are gonna come out on the US store before the EURO store cuz most of those games were made here, and they need to be programed a little different for you guys i guess…

also, lets just say the US version came out a little bit later, (the same time you guys get it) there wont be a problem? come on guys, thats messed up.

SCEA EA sucks at everything they do, but madden. Every other game they have ever made and are making are a piece of $hit.

Also FF VII remake is on the way I presume since it hasnt been released on the ps store.

rite well the EU store gets basically the Motorstorm update and not much more… few trailers not worth downloading erm…. yeah not much but what we really want is more demos and some new retro ps1 games to bring back the memories.

i dont care to know the difference between buying blue jeans at walmart and blue jeans at target.

i want variety in terms of what is offered up on the demo section. even a black bass tourney 08 demo would have been better than nba live 08.

and do you seriously wanna screen through 20 different threads by kids wanting the skate demo for another week???

its like a prison sentence my good man.

Yeah, I’m sure it’s a very nice update if you’re a Motorstorm fan. I’m not, but hey, to each their own.

And I usually have no problem putting Warhawk down for a while… actually, the network usually does it for me You know, like when the PS3 freezes, the network times out, or ‘unable to join game’ pops up with anything less than 3 open slots on a server; you know, things like that.

But you keep it up the witty remarks, I’ll keep waiting for the console’s premier game to actually work.

Very nice Sony you guys are really coming through. The store actually takes more time to navigate and view all the stock. What surprises me is that we are almost in our first year since launch, and I have yet to see a nice stream of playable PS1 titles. Sure the frist months you guys uploaded some decent material, but then you guys completely stop. Personally I bought 3 titles and I love the flexibilty of been able to play them on my PS3(it really is a gaming machine) and PSP, it really does work nice, so why not embrace it?. Ive been checking out Japan’s updates, and boy do I envy them. Yes I know I could just create a foreign account, but is that necessary for me to enjoy PS1 classics?.

I dont mean to whine, but when you tell your friends that you are able to download PS1 games from the store and play them on PS3 and PSP, and they actually go out there and purchase a PS3 for that particular feature, and they come back at you saying “hey theres only like 8 titles” or “what was all that functionalty about”, what do I tell them? Oh theyre coming, “very soon”. C’mon guys I feel like an ass.

Million dollar question: Where in the blue hell are the PS1 titles compatible for play on my Play Station 3 Computer Entertainment System. And Im not talking about the very “few” that are available on the network.

The reason ‘us europeans’ are on here ‘moaning’ is that SCEE has no interaction with the consumers unlike this blog which is a great idea. Threespeech is a PR tool with no useful value and customer service for SCEE is MIA.

As for your comment about most of the games being made in the US; Heavenly Sword (UK), Motorstorm (UK), LittleBigPlanet (UK), Home (UK), Playstation Eye (UK), Singstar (UK), Lair (Germany), DIRT (UK). It wouldn’t be so bad if you could use your credit card on the US PSN but you can’t.

We got shafted on the PS3 hardware and now the same is happening with the PSN. All we hope is that someone from SCEA with a little sympathy (and executive power) reads these posts and lights a fire under SCEE’s ass!

Where is NHL 08 demo? It’s been out for 360 since last Thursday. I am getting sick of being treated like a second class citizen because I chose Sony over Microsoft. This is appalling.

Why is there no official outlet for information to the European community?

Why is it every time people ask these questions we are ignored?

Why do we pay more than the US?

The manner in which Europe is treated compared to the US and Japan is a travesty.

@97 they aren’t getting anything in general so when SCEA is showing the customer love and SCEE isn’t and it’s hard to reach anyone there you resort to asking SCEA for help b/c the japan office probably wouldn’t help you with all the english to japanese
