@51
It was announced last week that with the delay of the retail version of Ratchet and Clank, the demo, too, would be delayed until October.11th.

You mean the same way EA claimed they gave the demo to Sony for Skate.
If Konami has sent it, it’s probably in testing. I seem to remember the 360 forums lit up with topics like “Skate Demo is causing problems with my 360.”
I’d rather it be tested first. As far as the other demos, they can’t put em up unless the devs send them one and they are satisfied with testing, the way it should be done.
We’ve been getting demos very consistently and I for one am loving it. Keep it up.

I am suprised R&C demo isn’t in this. Mainly since I have been playing it for a week. I picked it up from Gamestop for pre-ordering the game.
Thanks for the update. Both demos interest me this week as they aren’t games I would normally get.
Haze video is good, but I would love to get my hands on a demo if you can get Ubi to give you one! I know its too early but I really think that game looks fun.

Tokyo Game Show trailers wouldn’t hurt either. *COUGH METAL GEAR SOLID 4*
I wanna see all the hubbub on the Simpsons game though. And some Uncharted media is always nice (no pun etc., etc.).

Patrick Seybold | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:14 pm
The update will be live on Thursday, like always. Just wanted to get the info out as soon as we had it.
66
TheDevilsJoker | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:21 pm
Thanks Patrick for clearing that up, a prettyyy sweeet update!! Simpsons demo is good, and go ski should be entertaining, i wonder what the Eu Store will get.

XxBigP123xX | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:23 pm

gamesblow | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:35 pm
Can’t wait to try out the Simpsons demo… Not much else though. Go ski… hahahaha, right. I wouldn’t pay 10 cents for that game. Atleast it’s actually priced right, instead of all the other stuff on PSN… 7 bucks for Pixle Junk Racer??? Whatever you say, Sony.
69
hesido | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:36 pm
Go sports ski, 3 usd, I’m grabbing it, it is a steal. Good job on pricing this instance.
70
joel | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:42 pm
Go sports ski was ONLINE!!!
And it has the best graphics of any psn title! (other than warhawk and tekken 5)
That game is worth $9.99, but its $2.99!!!
71
aaquib | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:45 pm
@71
http://store.playstation.com is actually a valid site. Nothing on it yet, but I have a feeling it’s a sign of things to come.
72
Bender Rodriguez | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:47 pm
I must say 2.99 is an attractive price.
73
aaquib | October 3rd, 2007 at 4:53 pm
@76
Agreed. $2.99 with 4 player online multiplayer, leaderboards, great graphics, and SIXAXIS controls is a steal.
74
HanSolo | October 3rd, 2007 at 5:07 pm
for $2.99 im getting it for sure, i cant wait for it, i love this kinds of deals!

@ Patrick Seybold
Hi Patrick I will address this questions to you since Grace Chen doesn’t respond to questions.
1. Will these demo’s ever make there way to the PSN as they have already been released on XBL?
a. Pirates of the Caribbean: at World’s End Demo
b. Medal of Honor Airborn Demo
c. Blacksite Area 51 Demo
I would ask about a Assassins Creed Demo but I just learned that Demo won’t be coming to either system ok onto question 2
2. Will a Lair Demo ever be coming to the PSN?
3. Finally Question 3 is, is there a way to change your password so it can be personalized so we don’t have to remember such a random Password?
I would really Appreciate an answer
Thanks Again

lyfestory | October 3rd, 2007 at 5:42 pm
the Ski game only has 2 courses, for now.. i would expect more eventually.. good to have variety, ya know..? but more games utilizing the Sixaxis is cool.. how about pool..? or golf..? or a simple baseball game in the vein of MLB Bigs..??
definitely checking out the Simpsons and Bladestorm demos tho..
and opinion here, NBA 2k8 is the only NBA game to buy for this year… easily the best hardcourt action…
79
foolio_67 | October 3rd, 2007 at 5:56 pm
Wow I wasn’t expecting a Simpsons demo, that’s great!

zookey | October 3rd, 2007 at 6:07 pm
Man some people need to stop complaining in the negative way—giving kudos and ideas for improvement/constructive criticism is one thing but some people here are coming out with rabies! Sony is trying to be more open with us–and improvement takes time at least they give enough to start!!
82
HanSolo | October 3rd, 2007 at 6:11 pm
now start to work on a game similiar to ski, but with street soccer in mind, 3 vs 3, design your own uniform and players, and then make some dlc $$$ available like different arenas, clothes, balls, FAMOUS players

msd | October 3rd, 2007 at 6:13 pm
Cheap games for download are all very interesting, but since I don’t own a PS3, not very relevant for me.
What I want to know is, when will I be able to buy the following?
– Full-featured PS3 (all USB/flash ports, any sized HDD)
– PS2/1 backwards compatibility (I want HW support, but SW may have to do.)
– DualShock 3 controller(s) included.
I don’t want any of the current offerings with the original SIXAXIS controllers. I also don’t want any of the dumbed-down PS3-with-less-ports-and-no-BC offerings that have been surfacing lately. What’s the point of that?
Get a proper PS3 out there, with proper controllers and proper included functionality, and do it soon. I will buy it, and so will others. Why would anyone want anything less?
Sony, are you reading this?

I_Love_New_York | October 3rd, 2007 at 6:28 pm
Thanks for the info again Sony. I’ll definately make sure to get go sports ski. Also have you guys been working with the developers making that game that you announced in like 2005 called
Warhammer or WarDevil (one of those two names I think)
86
I_Love_New_York | October 3rd, 2007 at 6:31 pm
Yep its Wardevil.

Cheers for the update ahead of schedule. Always nice to hear, don’t suppose you could make this your routine?
Also, I know this a SCEA blog, but do you think any of you could get in touch with SCEE and wake someone up about sticking a certain PES2008 demo on the EU store, thousands of people are waiting for it.
Final point, any news about anymore PSone games coming to the store, the Japanese store is doing very well in receiving them, but there seems no love for the Western stores.
Anyhow, roll on next week for that Ratchet demo. Good to see some marketing for the Eye of Judgment and Uncharted game.
Folklore is getting good reviews too, looks like being Sony’s best first party game going by review scores, but it hasn’t received anywhere near as much hype as what Lair and Heavenly Sword did.

@msd
The 80GB when the controller is released should be in the spec it’s in now, plus the DS3. But you may want the 60GB and take the loss on the controller cause I’m pretty certain HW B/C isn’t coming back once the 60GB sells out.
@lyfestory
Pretty sure a pool game is coming with home, along with Bowling, (BTW Sony should I get High Velocity Bowling or wait for home?) And Hopefully sony gets the tip and makes other Go!Sports games, IE baseball etc

@ Seybold – Thanks for clearing that up dude. YOU ROCK!!! there is nothing wrong with an early announcement of what’s to come I prefer knowing to not.. I feel it builds the anxiety. My PS3 is going to be so busy tomorrow with all the d/ling.
Peace,

Thanks for all the cool demo’s!
Lately I’ve been trying to organise with friends to play games online, and what would be really handy is a shared Calendar that your friends can access, so you can show when you’ll be on and what you want to play.

Recce | October 3rd, 2007 at 10:05 pm
@msd
You already can buy a full featured “proper” PS3 (unlike XBox 360) that has BC for PS2 games since day one. The lesser featured version with 20GB had already been phased out quite some time back.
So the only thing stopping you from getting a PS3 is the rumble feature found in the controller which btw had only been recently announced by Sony to be in the upcoming Dual Shock 3.
It is indeed very strange to base your purchase of a next-gen system that plays Hi-Def Blu-Ray movies, comes with wifi/wireless communications, build-in 80GB HDD, plays PS2 and PS1 games etc on solely whether it has the rumble feature in a controller which you can separately buy whenever it’s released.
Just doesn’t sound logical to me.

Love to see the Lair Score on the PS Store I have the one and love to see all 26.
100
Wolf26pack | October 3rd, 2007 at 11:58 pm
@ Recce
I too was going to wait for the PS3 to get it’s rumble back before purchasing just so I wouldn’t have to spend the any extra money on a controller with rumble but as soon as I heard that they were phasing out the 60GB PS3 with the EE in it I knew I had to get it before it was gone because in my mind B/C is way more important than rumble. Although now I really wish they were using the new tech by immersion but I do believe it is for the sake of having rumble for there Back Catalog of PS1 & PS2 games and if that is the reason than that is good enough for me. I just wish we didn’t have to wait till spring 08 for it.
@ Federation
They just Announced that the Lair score is available for Purchase on itunes so if you want you can purchase it there.
