frito  |  November 15th, 2007 at 5:33 pm

Hi!

thanks for the demos!

just curious as to why the Europe store has gotten some PS Eye games, but not us? not trying to be whiny, as i really do appreciate all the content with this Store update!

I just was looking forward to some new Eye games since the recent Blog post about the Eye and it’s in development games with scanning images in and instantly manipulating them!

I bought my Eye the day it came out, and love making movie with Eyecreate, so i’d love to finally get some new content for the Eye!

cheers!

edwineverready  |  November 15th, 2007 at 5:33 pm

12

frebarkis  |  November 15th, 2007 at 5:33 pm

Only 40mb for the 1080 Batman trailer. I bet it’s the teaser we’ve all seen before.

Thanks for the updates! Maybe a Haze demo next week?!?!?

13

Lp47  |  November 15th, 2007 at 5:34 pm

16

Loucetios  |  November 15th, 2007 at 5:47 pm

What we need is Final Fantasy VII as a download, that would be awesome and so many people would buy it

17

Solace  |  November 15th, 2007 at 5:52 pm

Decent update. Love flying games, so I’m really excited about trying out BA2 demo.
Nice to see a consistent flow of content, but I’m also curious what the hold up is with the PSeye games.
Also, next week is Thanksgiving holiday in the US. Are you guys going to be updating next Thursday or skipping a week?

18

Neil  |  November 15th, 2007 at 5:52 pm

Thanks for the update.

I’ll definitely download the demos but I also have to agree with some of the other comments here. I just bought the Playstation Eye today and was wondering why the PS Eye games aren’t appearing on the US store. If you guys can clarify why then you’ll make a lot of us happy :)

19

Takeshi.hin  |  November 15th, 2007 at 5:58 pm

Nice update… again! So many trailers? What’s with that? I like trailers but I like games more. That’s all right, keep it up guys.

Thanks as usual Grace! We really look forward to and appreciate these updates. :)

21

enrichovega  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:02 pm

Is it just me or is this the most beefy store update we’ve ever had?

Great job Sony!!! You continue to amaze me.

**closes mouth to prevent drying**

Mr Everdred 01  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:04 pm

Cool. Hey, which upcoming Thursday will the Home Open Beta be coming to the Playstation Store? Phil Harrison said it would be Late November/Early December in an interview with Gamespot. Is that still happening? I haven’t heard any news since then… You guys should tell us if that’s not the case anymore.

23

afrosheen  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:05 pm

Decent update but still no Eye games. I just don’t get it. I hate you SCEE.

24

edwineverready  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:06 pm

toy home sucks sorry, but why does sony still make sixaxis only games. at least give us the option to turn off the sixaxis so we can use the stick to steer if we want to. the game is fun, but the steering with the sixaxis is inpossible.

25

Nfactor  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:08 pm

Well, according to Bloomberg, it was more of a mistake, not an outright lie. They didn’t mean PS3 alone, they meant all consoles combined (at least for the 100k week):

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p…d=amjWQwK2k3Bs

haha I hope your reading this Kaz Phil or whomever at SCE or SCEA, you sales didn’t increase on the new 40Gb PS3, you lumped in that statement with PS2 sales to make the PS3 look good.

SCE your completely pathetic, After Christmas I can;t wait to see the pink slips handed out to everyone at SCE and SCEWW, for complete and utter failure has a company.

Bloomberg has totally exposed your Pre-NPD data shannianghans.

Playstation 3 is now permantely in 3rd place for the generation.

26

fuzzyback  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:09 pm

still no folklore DL content :(

27

Clinton514  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:11 pm

Umm.. Sw.com Nfactor?

What’s up with your link it’s not working at all.

28

Stoffinator  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:12 pm

Nice update. I was wondering if we were getting one today.

29

Nfactor  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:17 pm

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601101&sid=amjWQwK2k3Bs

Here’s a better link, it’s from NeoGAF, linking to Oct NPD sales figures and a story.

Yeah it’s me Clinton, this is an outright travesty and someone inside SCE needs to pay for this BS job.

” Price Cut

The price cut and new model helped Sony increase sales of all consoles including the older PlayStation 2 to 100,000 units in the week ended Nov. 11, spokeswoman Kimberly Otzman said in an e-mail. ”

- That quote there is from the article on Bloomberg, SCE included the PS2 sales in their report yesterday, meaning that the 40Gb PS3 is actually bombing horribly.

blahblahbloo  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:17 pm

Final Fantasy VII still goes for $20 on Ebay.

31

CurryUdon  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:23 pm

32

Bender Rodriguez  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:23 pm

36

AGQ0105  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:34 pm

Video-centric update

37

Mr Everdred 01  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:35 pm

I hope that you guys read my post. Please tell us when the home open beta is coming out. If it’s being delayed again then that’s fine. At this point I just want to know.

@blahblahbloo and Loucetios - I agree that Final Fantasy VII would be a great addition to the Playstation Classics part of the store. I wonder if the thing that is stopping them is that the game was 3 CDs, which means that it will be around 2GB of space. Then again, most demos are almost around that length. If the size problem isn’t the issue, they should definitely release FFVII. In fact, make it FFVIII and FFIX at that. And the original Metal Gear Solid should come out before the 4th one does. That game was 2 CDs, right?

canguy69  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:44 pm

http://psncentral.ign.com/
is live, not much exciting.
Is November 26th home beta launch day?

39

frito  |  November 15th, 2007 at 6:47 pm

No announcement about DivX support yet?

Why do they wait to make us happy?

40

Loucetios  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:04 pm

The Toy Home Demo was Terrible, the controls were very, well not sensitive enough

41

Psychedelicide  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:12 pm

Demos, Videos, and Traillers

Cut this crap and release just one game each week. I don’t care if its a PSP or a PS1 classic. Can U manage that?!?

I bought this overpriced gizmo to play games, not watch what I could be playing. We already know about the stuff U guys put up on the store, no need to hype it up because all your hype amounts to very little. That’s disapointing.

Where are the PS2 games we’ve been promised? XBL is releasing their classics for download is December. It was your idea and they are executing it first.

42

scorpio  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:15 pm

Nice update, can’t wait to try out toy home. Really looking forward to High Velocity Bowling.

BTW - Thank you Sony for making this BLOG. I enjoying checking out the news on a daily basis. It’s to bad we get kids like nfactor who only complain and do not give back to the blog at all.

Thanks,

43

blahblahbloo  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:16 pm

Steering in Toy Home is easier if you hold the controller upright like it’s a steering wheel.

44

eyork  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:18 pm

Grace, When will we be seeing the apps for the playstation Eye. I purchased the eye when it first came out in hopes of the new EYE apps. The Brits have 4 nice apps(congrats guys). It would not be so bad if we could purchase them from the UK store but not allowing us to use a US card on the UK store kind of stinks(Amazon lets me). Demos are fine and dandy but you have people who are more then willing to shell out cash for your games that are available, in English and not region specific.

On a not so negative note…When will Wipeout HD be available(please dont say 2008).

Thanks in advance.

Solace  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:31 pm

“Demos, Videos, and Traillers
Cut this crap and release just one game each week.”

ROTFLMAOBBQ….
Oh, to think that we’ve reached a point where people complain about a steady flow of Demos.
If you want games, go to the store and buy ‘em. Ratchet, Uncharted, COD4, GH3, and Assassin’s Creed are all out now (I’m sure I’m missing some more…), so if you’re that desperate to play some games, get off your couch you lazy sloth and go get ‘em.
*hugs!*

AckeheceKoheo  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:37 pm

Hmm I was hoping for
(Released in the UK)
Tori-Emaki
Aqua Vita
Mesmerize

(not released yet in UK but announced)
Operation Creature Feature
Trials of Topoq

games/screensavers/interactive media

47

TW  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:39 pm

Hey! Everybody’s missing one game we should get on PsN.

Silent hill; or Silent hill series.

C’mon SCEA, we need Silent Hill.

48

reson8er  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:39 pm

Same here AckeheceKoheo, same here…

49

saunderswan  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:43 pm

nice update nothing i want but alot of content europe update sux as normal

PS EYE games not sure why we have them in europe the EYE aint out stand alone till december 7th and i aint paying £75 or $153 for eye of judgement just to get the EYE early i dont like TOP TRUMPHS i mean the PS EYE is only £25 or $51 so they want us to pay £50 or $102 for the game when COD 4 is only £45 or $91 and for the type of game that EOJ is thats nowhere near worth it i would say EOJ is a £15 or $30 game if that

Joe  |  November 15th, 2007 at 7:46 pm

How about for the next update we see a good feast on thanksgiving and have some nice PS1 games to be able to download. Plus on the PS1 games put the multiplayer back in the games.

It would also be nice to see some imported games like you can do on the Wii too.
