MUGEN02 | November 1st, 2007 at 9:54 pm
the need for speed demo was horrible. sony contact EA because they are porting from the ps2 version from the looks of this demo.
timeshift demo was fun and as good as the 360 version. motion control melee attack needs work though.

Thanks for Twisted Metal. It is nice to see more PS1 games get added to the PS Store.
I do want to see more PS1 games come out on the PS Store though and they also can be played on both the PS3 and PSP.
Also I hope you can take from Nintendo what they did with the Wii and add it to the PS Store too. I like on the Wii that there are some games that never came over seas and now they are. So I want to see some Imported games added.
There were some great ones that people never got to play before because they did not live were the games came out. So it would be great to be able to play them now.
Plus I like on the Wii you can download Sega Genesis games. NeoGeo and TurboGrafx 16 games. So I would like to see you (Sony) try to get these games on the PS Store. I also think it would be cool to see Sega CD, 32X and Saturn games come out on the Store too. I know it would take some long talks with these different partys but I think it would be worth it in the long run. Plus if the games could be played on the PSP and PS3 that would even be better.
Thanks for the update and I look forward to seeing at least many more great PS1 games come out on the Store.

Great update…nice to see that we are finally getting the PS1 classics! Now my PSP is happily getting to know Spyro and Twisted Metal.
BTW I did not see Spyro on there when I looked last night. I know you didn’t remove it so what happened? Is it a glitch with the PS Store? Luckily I have it already!!
And I will add my voice to those asking for the PS Cards. At least give us an estimated US date!

deadxbabiesxinc | November 2nd, 2007 at 9:58 am
Nice update, I wished Timeshift was a 3rd person sort of game because the trailer was awesome…but the whole 1st person thing…blah. I might rent it or something if the demo is good.
Btw the Ratchet and Clank commercial is awesome! The music is perfect and I like the little signature thing at the end. Hope to see more of THAT quality commercials on tv :)

Pretty cool. :D Could something be done about the spamming please? It’s funny that when Europe gets something before us we cry and kick and scream about it, but when Europe gets something later than us we don’t seem to care. Talk about your spoiled brats.

@122 zookey
Considering Capcom made the game yet no longer holds the Marvel rights, I’d say it’d be next to impossible for them to release it on the Store.
Glad I still have my old copy as, yes, it’s one of the best 2D fighters out there.

@130 MrCamo
Nice list. Where’d you get it from though?
Is this a wish list?
Or did it come from an actual official Sony source?
All too often, wanna be sites post their speculations and they’re put up as fact. Till I hear it straight from the horse’s mouth, I’d say this is bunk as it sounds a little too good to be true…
Please prove me wrong though! :)

@ SpyroLuver88… After you purchase a PS1 game from the store, the game doesn’t show up on the list of available games anymore. If you need to re-download it, just go to the “Download List” at the top of the screen it’ll be listed there.

What happened? did Capcom have a falling out with Marvel? That sucks—well maybe they could use the engine and just make a Capcom game. Wasn’t there supposed to be a Guilty Gear VS Capcom game back in the day? Someone told me Arc System Works was doing it and they were redoing all the sprites for Capcom–but nothing ever seemed to come of it. My bro sold his copy and we have been kicking ourselves for it since—my friend bought it USED recently for 60 bucks!!!! And it was from GameStop so it was an official listed price!

it is difficult to describe…here is an attempt on what the experience was for me warching the trailer for drakes fortune….the hd quality was fully exploited…it was like being in the action….the production values were like watching a movie in digital in a theatre…amazing is not a good enough word to desribe the effort the developeers put into rachet and drakes fourtune…and they say it will get even better….no question my investment in hdtv and ps3 is worth every penny and more. i still do not believe the poster who said he plays his ps3 on a 30 year tv

ok as many of you we see improvements one week then let downs the next. Ok first off what kind of sense does it make to launch the eye toy and no games to go with it. Sure if you buy the EOJ bundle you get one but I am not into card games. So what about us who bought the eye toy by itself? Why would you not put the eyetoy games out the same week as the launch? Nice one sony it just gives me another reason to be let down. I am trying my hardest to stay faithful but week after week you find some small way to screw things up. OK so what about these PSONE titles. Why are you not launching the highest selling PSONE games, let alone any at all. Spyro, what a joke it may have been a hit but I know it did not make the numbers that some of the other titles have. Is the only reason you lauched spyro was because Wendys started selling Spyro toys in their happy meals this month? Not worth it at all. Ok so twisted metal was good wow your on a roll now. And last what about this firmware update? I mean seriously how long is gonna take you to actually listen to the consumers who buy your products, and in a sense give you your paycheck. Online is the wave of the future, well its been here for a while now and you cant even messaqge a friend with the ps3 while playing a game. Oh thtats right and I put all this music on my ps3 so I can listen to it while playing a game? Cant do that either. I just know that the boys at microsoft are laughing at you about that one. Oh yea and I cant get in game XMB while in a game? Looks like my $600, multi media, wave of the future machine, cant perform a simple task as the stupid 360 can do all this and more. Just a suggestion, listen to your consumers, an update to turn on my ps3 with my psp is as gay as it comes. who gives a [DELETED]! Get with the program or your going to slowly see that stupid 360 clan take over our industry. Get with it sony, I am slowly losing faith.

OMG! they changed the details of the 3.72 fw for PSP on the EU site now no mention of FW2.0 just network settings for some regions
http://uk.playstation.com/help-support/psp/guides/detail/item83265/Update-features-(ver-3-72)/
the other day this same place said that the 3.72 PSP firmware was for remote play to be used for PS3 after 2.0 i smell a rat cant believe sony would SCAM like this i have 3 words for you SONY! LIAR, LIAR, LIAR This is BAD KARMA

SpyroLuver88 | November 5th, 2007 at 10:54 am
@ 152
I am sure the PSOne games are chosen for a reason. Just because they are not your choice, don’t bag on a great game. I am not talking about the crappy Spyro games that are out now (no longer made by Insomniac after original 3) but the originals were awesome. Have you ever even tried them? And next are you gonna say Twisted Metal is crap too?
It’s cool if you don’t like the PSOne selection then don’t buy it, but they are finally putting them out there like we have been asking so be happy:) I am sure the game you are waiting for will come. I think they are planning on doing all the greatest hits eventually but maybe they need the companies who originally developed the games to give permission before they can use the emulators. It’s hard to be patient though! We don’t know what it takes to put these things out there so maybe we should give em a break. And no matter what selection they make someone will be unhappy! There’s no pleasing everyone.

Yeah Sony likes to tease the [DELETED] out of us. They’ve shown off so much that the PS3 can “do” but haven’t given us half of it. I really am sick of having to go back to xmb and look for another device to listen to music on that screws with my game sound and isn’t leveled. I guess Sony just doesn’t listen. Makes ya wanna buy the other box and wait for this one to “mature.” [DELETED] I don’t want [DELETED] crap to break down on me though… And I dare not get the system with no games and no features. Sony… C’mon.

leonard cohen…a poet…a singer…a lover…and canadian too…one of his songs is SANCE TO THE END OF LOVE. sony has convinced me that the playstation has evolved to the nth degree in this the era of the information age. sony has given us the muscular OPERATING SYSTEM…can handle up to l080p…a networking system…handles software for games that have reached a new epoch in graphics…blu ray movies and concerts….software for videos …for music and it can go eve3n further in its ten year span. and you would expect to pay at leat l200 dollars for such a product and people can get it for 399…dance on sony and i willbe swinging with you
146
saunderswan | November 5th, 2007 at 7:17 pm
nah it dont make me wanna buy a 360 but it does make me WANT A REFUND of the $1,113.75 or in my money £535 and i will pay for postage of the machine!
