  • Outside of Burnout this is lame. Hope for some big hits before holidays…

  • Cloverfield Trailer in HD whoot!! its gonna be am awesome movie

  • I dont think this update is even good.

  • No themes or wallpapers=tears
But Burnout Demo makes up for that :)

  • I for one appreciate the demo, thanks guys

  • Hello Grace, thanks for the info.

If I may be so bold, could we have some more eyetoy games? (*cough* Trials of Topaq and *cough* Tori Emaki) ;)

Nice stuff tho, great job as usual.

  • Like to see more themes and wallpapers!

  • any update is good
    its free
so if you dont like it
goto xbl and paid 4 it

  • EA….charging money for those kind of stuff…

  • not a bad update this week, but as normal we have seen better, any news on when home is going to be up in the store ?

  • would have been nice to get the Kane and Lynch demo that UK got last week. Oh well can’t complain too much since its free and Burnout looks great from what I’ve seen.

  • dam EA with these pay cheats again, thought they learn their lession with The Godfather pay-cheats. Rock Band needs to stop with these 3 song updates and start updating them with atleast 10 songs at a time. Why does Japan have PixelJunk Monsters and we don’t!

  • Seriously, what the hell? Where are the PSEye games? They’ve been available to the UK for months and I keep waiting and waiting.

I haven’t opened up my Eye for that reason, I think I’m just going to take it back.

  • These little .99 characters and vehicles for Motor Storm are getting annoying.

Looks like Burnout is the only thing worthwhile.

By they way if anyone from Sony reads this, PLEASE WORK WITH ACTIVISION ON RESOLVING THAT ROCK BAND PATCH ISSUE. ACTIVISION SHOULD NOT BE BLOCKNG THIS PATCH!

    thanks

  • $2.49 for a Lamborghini Murcielago what are you thinking EA????????? And $2.99 for a Nissan GT-R.

Also this is all nice, but could you guys try to get us in game XMB before the end of this year. Come on,this is what we really want.

  • BURNOUT!!!!! well that will do for the year… save some things for next year..

and EVERYONE – don’t expect great things every week… summer will be full of nothing

  • I look forward to comparing Burnout Paradise on PS3 and 360, especially since Criterion has a not-so-secret love for the Playstation brand.

Now, why not another PSN release, like, say, Intelligent Qube? That would be nice. What with all the PSX/PS1/PSOne(?) games from which to choose, not including all the licensed and sports titles that should be skipped, its conceivable to have a game or two released each week for YEARS. I’d even happily purchase some PS2 games digitally. Show some love, Sony! Ask our opinions or offer us a chance to vote on upcoming releases to gauge interest or just let us know what’s in the works (with or without release dates) or something.

  • Oh yeah and where is Echochrome? I thought that was supposed to be out today?

  • Can’t wait for the warhawk expansion next thursday!

Thanks Sony for your continuing efforts in being awesome!

Ignore the haters and the whiners. They’re spoiled and uneducated.

  • the demo is nice an everything but can we get in game XMB and the open HOME beta before the year ends.

  • just remembered there aint no point in asking for what we really want as its not like sony ever listen to it customers, they just give us what they “think” we would like and not “what we want” looks like we will just have to put up with lame store updates from now on,

@ 14 i know what you mean about the motorstorm updates as it now seems like every thursday we are getting some sort of add-on for this game, i really dont see the point in this..

    and

@ 15 only a fool would pay $2.49 for an add-on car in a game and cant see many people downloading this.

well thats my rant over with for now anyay

  • lmao, some people complained about new cars in motorstorm for $1

but EA wants even more for cars that are included on the disc.

  • Thanks for the Burnout Paradise Demo!

Looking forward to PS Home & Dualshock 3/Sixaxis!

  • What we really want is Gran Turismo 5 Prologue! Please give us some information soon!!

  • Look at EA, ripping gamers off for content that is already on the disc. EA, YOU SUCK!.

    Other wise nice update.

  • LATE NOVEMBER OR EARLY DECMBER … NICE …. SO …. IS 20 DECEMBER GOING TO BE THE EARLY THING ???? WHY DONT YOU GIVE US A DATE FOR IT ??? ((((((((((((((((((HOME))))))))))))))))))))

  • Thanks for the Burnout demo. I’m glad I can download it today and not wait a week :P

  • @17 yes the fanboy battles will continue this evening.. should be fun :)

  • Burnout Paradise ftw!! I’ve been seriously looking forward to this demo. I can’t wait to get home from work…

  • Umm, so, Warhawk…?

  • Ya, this update wasn’t very good….Wheres the update for DivX support?

  • This was a bad update. Like real bad nothing. I mean absolutely nothing that I want. I might try that burnout demo but I don’t really like it. No Haze demo, no warhawk expansion, no divx support, makes this a very very bad update.

  • Can’t wait to play Burnout, and HD Cloverfield trailer is a nice sursprise. Thanks much.

@Brambler – that was a mistake on PS3 Fanboy’s site. They meant that the review team at the site were getting the game today, not the general public. It is still listed as a Q1 2008 release.

Oh, and let’s make sure that at least a hundred f**kwits ask for in-game XMB and Home in this thread, ’cause I’m pretty sure Sony has no idea that we want those. Apparently patience is so 20th century.

  • Wow.
    *palm to forehead*
Some people must not have a calendar. Today is Dec 13, and next week is Dec 20. So, for those people who don’t know how to read, when it’s announced that Warhawk’s coming out on the 20th, it doesn’t mean today.

As for today’s update, I’ll take this “crappy update” if by “crap” we get stuff like Burnout demo that’s online AND offline.
How you LIVE silver members enjoying your demo, huh? I’ll wait (a week) till you can respond…
    *zing*

  • The burnout Demo runs great! EA may have fixed their programming problems. Hopefully their future games on the PS3 run like this. Great!

  • Nice to have a online and offline demo of burnout. Not interested in the game, but I do like the ability to have a through test for demo if I was interested in a purchase.

I don’t care much for the add-ons, but it is nice to have new song for rock band, so thanks EA.

How about some more original PSN titles please. There has been nothing of interest in the store for months.

  • wow that is a lot of stuff for NFS…decent update, could of been a little better in my opinion. But still good.

    lets see…also:
    1. Where is Home?
    2. Don’t let Activision boss you around, release the patch…

  • Can’t wait to try the demo, and check out some of the vids….Cloverfield looks interesting, hopefully this is a newer trailer.

As far as the content you can pay for to unlock it early….don’t get mad at Sony or EA. There really are gamers that are so lazy that they’d rather pay to use them not, then try to unlock them by winning the hard races in the game.

It’s just like people that pay kids in China to level their WoW character for them. People say gamers are lazy, what would that make these people?

  • i wish people stop whinning about in-game xmb and home and go outside and get a life

  • Thanks Sony! Great update.

  • I know we will get them and I am not that upset about it therefore, but this update is crap. EA is becoming the most loathed developer atleast on this console. Apparently though PS3 owners aren’t buying much of there crap, so they dont care.

  • Great update, Im downloading the Burnout demo now! Im really pissed at EA, however. $3 to unlock just (1) car that’s already on the disc?!? Even that $10 car pack is a rip off considering that it’s just a freaking cheat code to “unlock” the content.

  • @ 5 and 8
    DITTO!

  • Disappointing US and EU store updates…apart from Burnout demo there was really nothing….I was looking forward to playing High Velocity Bowling from the EU Store but nope…Well least Warhawk Omega Dawn Expansion pack is out 20th of December…:)

  • Five comments later on three different blog posts and none of them have showed up yet?

  • I have to agree with some of the peeps the eyetoy needs some loving ;)

  • the japanese store already has the gt5 prologue game on the store. hope we also get it quick. or a playstation card so i can buy it from the japanese store.

  • Are you serious? Are EA actually expecting to buy these cars at that price? and then cars that are already in the game? My mentally challenged neighbor can get those cars (and im serious) but 2.50 for something that isn’t even an add on? Wow. BTW guys and sony, HD PSP concept, its an interesting one! This is my last post about it before it is considered spam!

  • @ Jack Tretton

Yo J.T., it’s been awhile since anyone has heard from you on this blog. There are alot of questions that need answering or at the very least clarification. I’m sure you daily schedual doesn’t afford the time for daily or even weekly blog posts. However, just once a month to update the Playstation Nation on our concerns and topics of intrest should be addressed. I’m referring to the most prevelant questions that reappear on this blog everyday…What’s up with HOME? Is in game XMB being worked on? When are we (U.S.) getting playstaion cards? I respect everything you do at Sony and if this is asking too much let it be known.

  • FYI, Criterion has been developing Burnout Paradise with the PS3 as the lead platform. It should run/look/play better on the PS3.
