first I’m not an english speaking guy, just learning a few other language like japanese, frensh and english.. believe me… not everybody here is from US or europe… second I understand that in the arcades game in the PSN are from small companies… but what are your argument with the arcade game from the other console have demos from every arcade game? evey arcade game in the xbox live are from big companys? don’t be a fanboy please… is like when a demos was in the xbox like and not in the PSN… is not sony or microsoft job.. but they can encourage the developers to bring it to PSN… about being a biatch it was “Just dont be so sure about what your opinions are when you dont even know some of the facts behind it” if you didn’t know what I was talking about just ask or there some other ways to said something…

Just stop this thing that will not guide us nowhere and this isn’t a chat

Sweet! Sucks that the PSN Card is not available yet… I wanted to buy Warhawk Add-On. =/

Anyways, if you guys read this by any chance, could you guys work on the PS2 compatibility issues with GH1, 2 and 80′s? I mean it’s playable, but the Whammy bar doesn’t work. Dunno if you guys can fix that in any way, also maybe enable GH3 guitar to play on those games too.

BTW Happy Holidays SCEA.

@ cmargray (50): Oh my bad bro, thats awesome. Good point, I never really thought about there being that many different kinds of people here, I am so used to forums where everyone is always (usually) the same language and whatnot. So mybad on that.

But no, I am not a fanboy, again I think you are misunderstanding my point here, it might be because of our different languages, but all I am trying to say that it makes no sense to say Sony is now learning to put demos for PSN games. Because its not sony. Sure they can encourage it, yea, but with dozens of PSN games its not like they are going to make a rule where there has to be a demo. And all i was saying with Microsoft is that they charge $50 for Live, and they have ads, therefor they have more money and time management (in some sense) to go out and talk 1 on 1 with these small or big companies making these arcade titles. Sony doesnt charge, nor do they have ads, so its not nearly as easy to d, or as simple.

Hope you understood me there, not trying to start arguments, just that I dont think I was understood correctly, thats all.

Whoa what’s with the new terrible layout? It was much more convenient to have all the new stuff on page the front page and some on the second page page. Then having to click on each category to see if anything is new. The layout stinks. Too much clicking and too inconvenient.

As for the update. It was decent. I could do without all these FPS demos, but a demo is a demo I guess.

@ S3NTRY

Yeah, this is a US blog but everybody comes here because is where we can speak and we will be heard…

About the other thing is yes I understand you perfect… and I know that PSN is free and without ads (until home arrive), anyway I like a lot more the PSN titles than the arcades from the other cosole, I like more quality than Quantity but they need to encourage the developers to release demos from every arcade to make sure is a good product… is just a win-win situation

+ S3NTRY on December 20th, 2007 at 6:41 pm said:

I agree, demos is something I would like to see more of, but sometimes you just cant blame the developer of the game, its out of their hands at times.

But you should also keep in mind that some games would not be able to have a demo. Because the gameplay is too complex or more then what they can show in a demo, so it wouldnt make sense.

Take Everyday Shooter for example. The game has some really amazing gameplay, and that gameplay is different in every stage, so to show only one stage in a demo, would not be advertising the game enough, and would ultimately make people not interested in the game because they have yet to see or know that the other levels are different.

So sometimes its either lack of power, or time, and sometimes it could be the point where it wouldnt be logical to make a demo, because it wouldnt send the right message across to the users.

Like SSHD, HVB, yea, those should have had a demo (assuming they could have done it with their time and crew). But a game like Pain wouldnt work with a demo, because it would practically be giving away the full game there, and people would have no reason to buy it.

Hope you get what I am saying.

Wow, I don’t know what all of the negativity I’m seeing about is. Granted, I didn’t bother to read any of them bar the first one, and I’m sorry you hard-working people providing for the PlayStation experience had to see that first thing.

I just jumped on the Store a few minutes ago (I almost forgot!) and I was overwhelmed by how much was in there! My download queue is overflowing and I only spent a $1.99! And the PS3 commercials I’ve been anticipating are on there now! :D This is like an early Xmas!~ The number of free add-ons in there is crazy! Sorry if I sound overexcited, but I am! This was such an amazingly good surprise! Thank you all very much and Happy Holidays all around!~

I’m REALLY diggin’ the Snakeball demo and I ain’t talkin gameplay…It’s the music man!!! Reminds me of those wild parties I attended at Studio 7 back in ’76 (w/o the doobie). With demo highlighted I cranked up my receiver and darn near BOTTOMED OUT my sub from the tracks low end!! Since it’s continuous play I’ll be groovin whenever I’m feelin nostalgic. Good times man…Good times!!!

BTW…I’ll be hosting a 70′s themed party at my crib when HOME opens and everyone here on the blog’s invited! Just remember to dress your avatars accordingly.

Am I missing something? I don’t see Omega Dawn on the actual PS Store at all. I bought it earlier from the Warhawk store, but I don’t see the actual expansion available at the store. It’s not listed under the Newest Add-ons or under the new Warhawk menu. Warhawk menu has the original game ($39.99), original PSone Warhawk ($5.99), Warhawk theme (Keep the themes coming please!), 6 video/trailers, and two wallpapers. But no Omega Dawn. If you go to the main Store page, and click the main image that says $7.99 it only takes you to the Warhawk page and shows what’s listed above. Is it hiding some place else? Or is the only real way to get it from the Warhawk “store?”

66

+ cmargary on December 20th, 2007 at 8:15 pm said:

@tdh

Maybe is just like anything you buy in the store never is in the store again.. but yes in the download list… to make sure you don’t buy something twice I guess…

67

+ tdh on December 20th, 2007 at 8:21 pm said:

@cmargary
Turns out, that’s the answer. If you already have the content, it removes it from the store. Since I actually downloaded it from the Warhawk “store” earlier in the day, it doesn’t show. So I’ll shaddup, finish watching the new videos, blog it up, and then get in on some Warhawk. I ~think~ I blew one up earlier. 2 shots from the Missile Turrent and I got 5 kills. I could have gotten lucky though. lol

Can somebody at Sony work out a solution for those who have imported the US version of Warhawk and have found out DLC from the PS store is region locked? Maybe a DLC only online site where international credit cards are allowed? I and many others have imported the game, the US store will not accept my non-US Visa card so now I am prohibited from getting access to the Warhawk expansion pack.

It is great having region free games but consumers need to be aware that if they import they won’t be able to get future DLC.

One game that I would appreciate from the ps1 is Command & Conquer: Red Alert….especially if Westwood could put together an online mode for the skirmish’s, Just a thought.

Thanks and see use next year.

Exactly when are you going to fire the guys who manage Sony Computer Entertainment Europe? It’s a management disaster. Nevermind the horrible store updates, some of the countries in Europe don’t even have access to the store.

Quick Question: Where can we buy Official Sony gear ( PS3 Hats, T-shirts, Jackets)? The only place I can find anything that comes close to this is Bootleg stuff on E-bay??? It would be nice to be able to BUY these items from the Playstation store to support/advertise our choice console……………………….I know Sony is not in the market to follow the “other consoles” footsteps, so this would be something “they” (MS) is not doing………………………….

@#80
Hey, your english is fine, Pero mi español es muy malo.

So how about it Sony? Why not give the guys south of the border their own store? I mean there are like 100,000,000 potential customers there. (there’s 30,000,000 in Canada and 60,000,000 in the UK and they get a PSN Store) anyway, thought I’d throw that out there…
