I am pretty late in posting, but whatever, i have to pass this message to the entire Folklore staff .

I am thanking you, from the deepest of my heart, for the magic and fantasy you have brought us in folklore. A dreamy fantasy, mixing Jade Cocoon/FF XII/Valkyrie Profile with a genji/haunting groud/shadow of the colossus ...that was exactly what i wished would be coming up..simply because it has never been done before.

I started the game with Ellen, since her story really intrigued me. -(definitely love her scottish mini skirt ^^, yes yes i know it's only to remind us where the story takes place lol)- Her story is really attaching the player to keeping on playing, and discovering more about her past. This is exactly what we look first in a game.
I then went on with Keats..had fun but definitely not as much as with ellen. Oh and I wish Keast had a different costume in the Netherworld.

Apart from the beautiful dreamy environment, the lovely music, the greatness of flashbacks and the exceptional gameplay (great job on the use of the sixaxis), i am thanking you for not forgetting about us.
The add ons you are releasing are very important to me. Dungeons, costumes..thank you!

One thing i wished we could do: play the dungeon in real-time via internet..in other words, complete chapters in a duo-mode (one player controls ellen, the other keats), both advancing through the game in real-time via the online mode.

Unfortunately, and again it has to be said, after few hours the game become repetitive..i think it is less repetitive than the other RPGs due to the humongous amount of folks!

One thing i noticed during playing: too much loading + framerate.

My last words:
Thank you again, for the greatness of Folklore.
I will never forget that dreamy, poetic and magic adventure.

First of all: I love Folklore. Everything is great about it; the story, the music, the theme, the characters and so on. Except from the invisible walls. :P

And this holiday gift is great! At least it seems like it's great. Somehow I can't make it work. I've downloaded it and I installed it but there's no sign of any new costumes in the main menu of the game. And when I tried to install it again it said the package was already installed.

Anyone have an idea what could have gone wrong? I can mention that when I downloaded it I went to brush my teeth and when I got back I had forgot what I was doing so I shut the PS3 down. This morning I remembered it and when I turned it on the download had reached about 60%. Could me accidently aborting the download without pausing have anything to do with it?

Eric, let me clarify leetfoo's post. Back around 2000-2002 HDTV's were sold that only play 1080i and 480p and 480i. So there TV does not play 720p period. So, since Folklore does not upscale to 1080i from 720p, the game goes down to the lowest possible resolution-in this case, 480p. Understand? I don't have this problem personally but I feel for the people IN THE 100 PAGE THREAD ON THIS WEBSITE that have the same problem-most PS3 games don't upscale to 1080i. Leetfoo, that sucks. Sorry, but nothing I can do.

the6one here.......

I would like to congratulate everyone at SCEI and SCEA. I can't believe this SONY, but the playstation brand is again going to exalted as king of all other computer entertainments three times in a row. If you're wondering how I know all this, let's just say that I'm going with my gut feelings, and deep down inside of my gut, the message is playstation wins again, SONY, the kings of computer entertainment systems. Albeit, it will be tough to beat nintendo, but Microsoft will be the first taken down by the PS3. Next year is going to be amazing for PS3 and all vetran and new PS3 owners alike. I don't know why you guys allowed this to happen Sony, but now all of a sudden I am not slightly concerned as I once was over the PS3 computer entertainment system. One of the biggest reasons why this machine came out of the gate struggling was because of the fact that internal issuses in the company were brewing as well as the PS3 being too futuristic, and might I add too expensive during its launch in November 2006. I can't explain it, but the PS3 just doesn't sound right being present and on the market for the year 06. However, 07 definetly fits the bill for the PS3 as well as future years like 08', 09', and of course 2010. I must say SONY you guys have done it again. The install base for the PS3 has already gone up to 2 million from 5 mil to now close to 8 mil. Ok, you guys were always in control, I'll admit that. However, I wouldn't say that you guys did not hit some bumps on the road either. Great job and good luck next year as the PS3 will at some point or another finally become market leader.

JDPoZ #77- I noticed the resemblence too, although Otacon is not as cool or suave as Keats.

leetfoo #80 - 480p vs. 1080i
http://www.rpsoft2000.com/information/hdtv.htm
Ups and downs on both. 480p (progressive) definitely offers the smoother experience. 1080i (interlaced) is less smooth, but a clearer picture.
In other words, can someone please get leetfoo a new HDTV for Christmas =)?

SeraphimRhapsody #86 - Uncharted's soundtrack is nothing compared to Folklore's =). Except Nephilim by Abingdon Boys School wasn't on the 3 disc set. Still a way awesome soundtrack despite not having the song though.
