  • crash 2? WHOOT

  • nice… finally will try out stardust

  • WOOT at everything except the Ape Quest pricing. I’ll reserve final judgment on how the game adds up based on the Starter Pack, but come on, SCEI. 10 bucks a chunk?

Anything on that one Ape Escape game in Japan where you played as a helmet that controlled the various apes?

  • Crash 2 is an amazingly small file size, just 103mb! didn;t thik it would be that small considering crash 1 was like 300 or 400mb, be funny if it was a mistake

  • Wierd no update on the pc store yet.

  • @5

there is, its at the bottom of the post

  • Live in England and must say, Stardust is very addictive and the soundtracks work perfectly, although you can’t use a playlist you made earlier (but I could just be missing it)

And wrong place to ask but Threespeech won’t answer me. WHY ISN’T EVERYDAY SHOOTER ON THE UK STORE YET? It was promised december and still not here.

  • stardust HD update will be cool K&L demo already tried on EU store… where’s the Club demo? Motorstorm Track pack?

oh and FYI, please make better quality PSP videos on PC PS store. PSPFanboy.com has better quality…

other than that, Burnout Trailers is pretty cool. can’t wait for the game!

    average update.

  • Its an ok update. Seems like a long time since we got a PS Store update.

  • @Grace
do you know if we are going to get a demo of DMC4 and word when the open beta for Home is going to happen. Beside that this is a good updated.

  • Nice to see PC gettin some love, but could you toss in some themes and videoes there too just as filler/fodder. The list is always a bit short.

    Good PS3 update BTW.

  • sick of bad updates, sick of crash….. wheres tori emaki…..get somethin goin soony cmonnn

  • It’s a bit hard to follow at first with both the PS Store and PC Store listed. You might want to consider separating them.

  • nice to have a psp game section on the ps3 store

  • Do you just F-ing hate us, Sony? Why are you giving the Japanese store so many good things but leave the U.S. and Europeans without anything good? Do you like them better than you like us? Yep it’s probably that.

  • laaaaaaaaaaaaaaame

i thought the SSD update included the online multiplayer. i don’t see it anywhere. when are we getting that?

  • when is Castlevania Symphony of the Night comming to EU

  • Cool… good update if you ask me and good to see that the “arcades” games of the ps3 comes with demos now… that need to be mandatory,,,

The club demo maybe next week to have something to next week

  • Whay I miss was the ces videos.. I wan it in the store.. but oh wellll…

  • @6

I know that, Im talking about the pc store is not updated yet take a look, but the ps3 store has psp games now.

  • The content is great, but why do 360 users get the Rock Band tracks a full day and a half before PS3 users? The content was ready yesterday; holding it for an arbitrary release seems pointlessly frustrating. Equally frustrating is the evening release time; I’d prefer to simply queue up the downloads before I leave and have the PS3 download the content while I’m at work (preferably with a low-power mode and auto-shutoff-when-complete).

It’s a small annoyance, but I shouldn’t have to feel like I would have been less frustrated buying the game on 360.

  • Ape quest is hot.

But 20 dollars for 3 chapters that totals 2.3mb? OMG seriously. cut it down to 10 to 15 dollars or tell us more about it.

  • When are we getting the Motorstorm DLC thats on the European store?

  • I’m glad I can finnaly get PSP games from my PS3, since I’m a mac owner. And thanks for a PS1 game. I really hope that we will be getting these more consistantly (perhaps one a week?) After all you have had the Street Fighter PS1 game, rayman, and Crash 3 all re-rated by the ESRB for PS3/PSP.

    Thanks for the great update

  • im sorry but what is there to enjoy about this update….back to square 1 it seems, i really hope the Rocky trailer doesn’t pop its head up again.

Great start to the New Year…….where is Home???? LBP?????? In game XMB??? Custom Sountracks?????

Oh yeah, maybe someone can contact SCEE and London studios and ask where are 350+ Singstar songs are as promised…last time i looked ( if i can get online that is) there were only 60…..really worth buying, great marketing. Thank you very much for that.

  • Would have loved some CES stuff. I know the metal gear demo will probably never come before the game’s release but some vids of Little Big Planet would have been awesome. Maybe next week?

  • Why aren’t those $15 and $20 PSP game downloads of Syphon Filter: Combat Ops, Wipeout Pure, Socom: Fireteam Bravo, and Gangs of London on the list? I looked at a bunch of other blogs and they didn’t say anything about them either. Was I given them on accident?! Like from a glitch in the computer or something? That would be awesome, but I don’t really feel like buying any of those. Shoot. If only you guys could have accidentally given me the Home Beta.

  • I don’t care that the 360 users get add on content before we do, but I DO care that they keep getting exclusive add ons for multi-platform games… GH3, they got 4 exclusive tracks, and now they’re getting three exclusive Rock Band tracks. Isn’t it bad enough that us PS3 users already got shafted with the controller compatibility issue?

  • When is the PC Store going to update?

  • Any word on when the Devil May Cry 4 demo will hit?

  • Another terrible update, showing us that this year will be just as bad as the last one.

Looks like Sony is in no hurry to deliver the goods. Not to mention the severe lack of exclusives in Q1 2008, but oh well that’s Sony for you.

  • oh, the ps3 update is awsome, still waiting for crash 3 though…or maybe a bundle? that would be cool too. oh, and nice psp pc update…wait, pc, NO MAC SUPPORT, WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT, i’m still waiting……also, reallly want to buy beats, but i can’t…thanks for that a lot.

  • Lame update again.. i think all of you enjoy getting your DLC 3 days later. Oh, and bye the way, i think you also enjoy being the bottom-feeders in the U.S, since Japan gets all their content right away. So long suckas!

  • When is the PC Store gonna update?

  • @Rated-G

What 3 tracks from Rock Band are exclusive in the 360? I have guitar hero too but I like RB a lot more… I have rock band in the 360 anyway (for the archivement) but I see all the song of rock band in the PS Store… it will be a future songs then? just want to know…

  • Kanye & Lynch was an alright game. It’s a shame to see it was rushed a bit. Hopefully the sequel will turn out much better because the concept is pretty cool.

  • @cmargary

I think he may be referring to the OXM offer. if you get the magazine with the disc, it offers three free songs.

  • First of all, I want to tell Sony that I’m very proud to be a PS3 gamer.

    BUT…….

What another CRAPY update… Could you guys think of something else than the dammed GH and Rock Band!!!!! I know that lot of people like those games but for God sake, I tell you, there are still people out there that still like REAL video games… COME ON DAMIT!!

And this almost-one-year-old-game lame update… I don’t think there are a lot of people that still play this OLD game. And I’m one of them. And now that I can play my own music won’t change the fact that this is a small downloadable game, sold at 10$… Come on, do you think those games are made to last that long… I also have Calling All Cars… The last time I tried it, I had a real hard time to get 2 guys to play with me (and this is when the game was sold only 5$).

Where’s Home (at least the public beta)…
    Where’s WipEout HD…
Super Street Fighter II HD Remix…
Where are Pain’s new characters and maps (YES Pain is STILL a game with a life sign! It would be a GOOD idea to invest in a faster development of this game instead of this lame store update…)…

By the way… Videos are NOT big treats for me, since I can view about 5 times the amount of PS3 Videogame related videos on the internet and even in my PS3 using TVersity and RSS.

Come on guys, you’re better than that… At least, give us the Anything-Can-Be-Your-Tank PS Eye game… Even at beta state, I think it would be more fun than that crapy Super Stardust update…

I’m very disappointed, but I still hope that real gamers will be heard (not just the wannabe-guitar-player gamers…) and that you guys will get back in the right tracks…

    Thank you.

  • You guys need to stop being so inconsiderate and, “me me me… I want”.

Your parents may have mentioned to you that you don’t always get what you want or perhaps they didn’t.

Many will be satisfied and others won’t. Buck up and stop being a kid about it. You’re not being forced to purchase anything so chill out.

  • @16 NinjaSkllz

Quote: “i thought the SSD update included the online multiplayer. i don’t see it anywhere. when are we getting that?”

    Next year…

  • Hmmm, guess I’ll download the Folklore content.
Everything else is mediocre at best. And to Clinton514, I understand what you’re saying but Sony isn’t a charity, nor is it your friend. It’s a multi-billion dollar business. When people want things, they should demand it until they get it. It doesn’t hurt Sony’s delicate feelings when people scream for more content. They paid $600 or less for their console and now they want to see results. Get real, everyone DOES get what they want. They just have to pay for it.

  • @darkiewonder

    wow I didn’t know… wich songs?

  • Stop [DELETED]. God damn. Get a life.

  • Finally a new PS1 game and its Crash Bandicoot 2! I am surprised that its a small file and not huge like Crash Bandicoot. I hope that the pc playstation store continues to grow everyweek depending one if it gets updates or not.

  • Hello Sony,

It’s good to see the company prospering and moving forward again. I am sorry if I ever lost faith in you guys………you are the kings of entertainment and quite honestly the very best in computer entertainment. I’ll admit that it took me quite a while to get used of the third generation playstation computer entertainment system. When something is new and you haven’t been exposed to it all that much, you tend to over analyze everything about it. I don’t know why but I felt 2006 was never the proper year to unleash the PS3 computer entertainment system. I can’t explain it, but it seems 2006 wasn’t the right year to release the juggernaut that is the PS3. However, years like 2007, 2008, 2009, and definetly 2010 go hand in hand with the PS3 in terms of its life-cycle. Personally, I think you guys rushed the PS3 because your hand was forced and because of it alot of negative press as well as negativity in the company was manifested. I must truly say though, you are the most resilient and head-strong company or Corporation I have ever seen. Any other company would just have folded under the pressure and given up. I must say Sony even myself, that the company is becoming what it used to be which was an entertainment powerhouse. Your new TV spots for the PS3 and blu-ray ads are second to none. I actually get excited “everytime” I see them. They never get boring or tiresome. Great work! Keep it up! I”ll give Microsoft and Nintendo their props, they brought it to the table this generation and we most definetly as well as Sony felt their presence. However, one can win the battle, but it is a whole ‘nother ball game to win the war. I”ll give the big N and M$ credit where credit is due, and that is both companies respectibly won battles over us, yet both will lose the war against us and SONY. I have already heard people who are hard-core Xbox fans say that they are thinking of coming back home to SONY now that the PS3 has a reasonable price-point. In addition to that, my friend who was a Wii fan has now returned his Wii system for store credit at gamestop and with his store credit he has become apart of the SONY Camp, purchasing a PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system!!!

    SONY….entertainment.like.no.other.

    the6one…….

  • @cmargary

    Freezepop – “Sprøde”
    Bang Camaro – “Rock Rebellion”
    Count Zero – “Shake”

    These three.

  • boo the Kane and Lynch demo doesn’t rumble with my Dualshock 3 I got off of playasia. Also, nobody ever replied to why I have those extra purchasable PSP games on my store that aren’t on the list. I’m not expecting anyone from Sony to look at my comment since nobody ever replies to the comments for PS Store updates, so somebody else tell me. When you open up your Playstation Store, does anyone else see this?
    http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b306/mreverdred01/DSC04509.jpg
and then once you open it, this?
    http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b306/mreverdred01/DSC04508.jpg
I’m betting that you all have this as well, so how come none of it’s in the blog entry?

  • Decent update guys but seriously let’s roll out those PS1 games. The PS1 classics system so far has been a disappointing waste of potential. I would’ve expected at least a good amount of the PS1’s library by now, and we still don’t even have it’s best titles. Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil, and Gran Turismo are still MIA. Also, I think now that the PS Store has a good amount of content it’s time for a redesign, as the current interface leads to some clunky browsing. Thanks Harmonix for the Rock Band tracks every week it’s been great. Unfortunately my red pad on my drum set stopped working and EA sent me a replacement set today…for the 360. Ugh.

  • sony didnt post my last comment because they know im telling the truth!
