Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz

With the Oscars coming up, we thought it would be a good time to test everyone’s Tinseltown knowledge. Let’s see if you can answer these:

  • WHICH BLOCKBUSTER HAS THE CHILLING TAGLINE “IN SPACE NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM”?
  • IN “THE MATRIX,” KEANU REEVES IS REVEALED AS “THE ONE,” BUT WHAT IS HIS CHARACTER’S NAME?
  • IN “THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE,” WHO IS THE “KING OF THE BEASTS?”

Hi everyone! I’m the associate producer on Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz. I hope everyone had a fun time playing Buzz! The Mega Quiz over the holidays with family and friends. For those of you who may have not seen IGN’s piece, we are happy to announce that the next in the line of Buzz! quiz games will be released on March 11th with Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz and Buzz! Jr.: Robo Jam for the younger gamers in the family.

Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz will feature new characters (my personal favorite is the pirate…arrghhhh matey!), new rounds as well as old favorites (can’t have a Buzz! game without a Pie Fight), and tons of movie clips and pictures.

With over 5,000 questions, we’ve just given you a small taste of what you can expect with the questions listed above. There is plenty of general trivia about your favorite movies and stars, and you may just learn a behind-the-scenes tip or two! For those of you who are completely passionate about films, we have Film Fanatic mode to thoroughly test every film cel that you have committed to memory. So, even if the Oscars don’t go on, you’ll still be able to get your celeb fix with Buzz! The Hollywood Quiz this spring.

For those of you looking to put your Hollywood knowledge to the test prior to the game’s March release, stayed tuned for more details coming soon on a fun contest with BIG PRIZES. See you in Tinseltown.

Saw some “leaked” Buzz! for PSP info today. That seems pretty interesting. I would REALLY be interested in an online-capable PSP or PS3 quiz game where you are playing against friends or the world. With a leaderboard. They have similar setups at a lot of sports bars.

Just a heads up to everyone that might want to play Buzz on they’re PS3, I have a 60gb system from launch day so some of you might not be able to i dunno but It plays perfect….. the buzz controllers are USB so theres no problem…just no one anywhere knows or cares to help us PS3 guys out (gamestop is a bunch of sony haters i dont know why they gave them this patapon deal) So long story short…Buzz the mega quiz and PS3 are completely compatible, just go out and get it…

Umm… The first one… Um… Bah, no idea.

The second one… Well, Agent Smith called him “Mr. Anderson”, but I don’t know his first name off the top of my head.

The third- I’m guessing the Lion.

I’ve never actually looked into this series before but it looks like my kind of eccentric humor.

Going with Alien as well

IN “THE MATRIX,” KEANU REEVES IS REVEALED AS “THE ONE,” BUT WHAT IS HIS CHARACTER’S NAME?

Neo / Mr. Anderson

IN “THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE,” WHO IS THE “KING OF THE BEASTS?”

Asalan, something along those lines.

I also saw some PSP Buzz info, hope it’s true. I would much rather have it on the go ;-).

@7 Because we’re already spoiled as it is. The Europeans are still asking from their own blog, others are still asking for PSN account availability and still others are still waiting on their own PlayStation.com forums. We’ve got plenty.

And- Alien! Of course! My little brother has that movie too.

They really need to make a version on PS3. That would go over well as a budget title and could feature snippets of music and film in HD which would be a great use for the blu-ray format.

Guess that reported suit from Buzztime Entertainment isn’t going to slow anything down on this then (for those wondering what I’m talking about check the news items on some sites from 3 days ago).

It’ll be good to have a bunch of new questions – I enjoyed the original Mega Quiz.

Full agree with sascha23. Clips though might up the price beyond budget due to licensing.

Alien, Neo/Mr. Anderson/Aslan….booya!

Anyways, we need a PS3 version with possible downloadable content like more questions, characters or even game modes? Imagine a what a Blu-ray will have if a DVD has 5,000 questions.

My family/friends ended up playing a lot of Buzz over the holiday but we’re not huge Hollywood/Movie buffs so how about a “Genius Edition” with more difficult questions. Keep the questions coming!

Will this game be sold without buzzers, since I’ve already got Buzz! Mega Quiz? I’m also curious about the price :)

PS3 version with downloadable content & wireless buzzers would be awesome too :D

Hey just want to let Sony know that you have my support for the dumb lawst you guys are receiving about buzz. You guys get so many idiotic small companies trying to make profit on things that have been announced for months, even years.

Buzztime iz going down.

Umm. So I seem to remember that Buzz for the PS3 was announced and supposed to be out soon. Like when? Why is there no information on this? Seems like that is where the development power should be going rather than PS2.

Yay! Just in time for my birthday!

Buzz! has been quite popular with the family during Christmas, and a Hollywood edition would be real fun! Namely with a friend I know, who’s a movie-NUT!

Is this also 8-player enabled? ’cause those are fun…

and speaking of themed buzz! games before we get to the ps3 version, Can we expect previous Buzz! games, like Music Quiz or Sports Quiz, in the US?
Or are they just outdated to bring over and would have to be completely overhauled?
(i’ve seen the older ones, and they look nothing like the mega-quiz setup that also seems to be in hollywood quiz).

anywho, Can’t wait!
