  • Not bad, not bad. Nice job!

  • First launch in a while without themes…bummer. Lookin’ forward to that Lost Planet Demo though.

  • Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!

  • Hell…..yes…..

    that is all.

  • Another solid update thanks. I hope we get a single player demo of Lost Planet.

  • Good update. At most, Im so happy for Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot – Warped! It´s my favorite part. What I also find good is that recently Uncharted trailer from the “playstation blog” came and now available at the store. But i dont understand, why are not so many Blu-Ray trailers? I hope it will still works.

  • Lost Planet Demo?…Sweet. See U guys on the frozen tundra!

  • Canadian Prices are still high.

Why can’t Sony answer why they are charging extra for Canadians? People in the US pay $6 for the Rockband DLC and here in Canada we pay $9?

    Where’s the logic?

The Dollar is at parity. Being that this is Digital Distribution, there are no extra costs for shipping up the the Great White North. No Packaging…

Why the silence on this Sony?

  • There’s a playable demo of the PSP game Patapon up on the Japanese store, just download and transfer from the PS3 to the PSP. It was a bit difficult guessing though the language barrier, but what I was able to play sure was fun!

  • Very Nice Update!

  • Any chance of starting to include demo’s for all of the PSN games like Sky Diving? There may be something wrong with me, but I can’t spend money on games I can’t try out. :)

  • wow, GREAT demo!!!!

    thanks again…

  • I like what see in this update Grace but I have to ask, what’s the situation with the Playstation store and Mac compatibility?

  • Nice update, I would buy Go! Skydiving if it was properly priced here in Canada… come on guys u have that nifty thing u can do to answer questions on comments left by users… use it

  • this is not the best update no theme two [DELETED] wallpapers one demo witch looks good i was hoping we would see a mlb08 the show demo or haze and id like to see a system update we haven’t had one in a long time.

  • this is not the best update no theme two horrible wallpapers one demo witch looks good i was hoping we would see a mlb08 the show demo or haze and id like to see a system update we haven’t had one in a long time.

I believe the problem doesn’t lie in getting the game on your PSP, as the pictures make its pretty self explanatory, but the fact that only 1 account’s downloads can be active at a time on your PSP at a time. So say if you have a few games downloaded from your account on the US PS Store to your PSP and then you put the Patapon demo from the JPN PS Store on your PSP, all your older downloads won’t work until you reactive your PSP with your US Account, which in turn makes your JPN Account downloads invalid.

Its really quite the hassle if you ask me, but its still better than waiting a few weeks if you are dying to play the demo.

  • One thing that I don’t understand is the lack of demo’s for the PSN titles. This stopped me from buying Pixlejunk Monsters and will stop me from purchasing the Go Sports Skydiving game that went up today. Is there a reason for not doing demo’s that I’m not aware of? Every reason I can think of would lead to larger sales for these small titles.

Enough of the rant, a great update this week… thanks!

  • I’m still wondering why PSP videos aren’t in 480×272 resolution in the PS Store for PC. The flOw video is a shame to look at on the PSP. The PSP has a great screen and I can’t believe you’re not taking advantage of it.

  • Holy smokes never thought I would say this so soon, nice PC store update.

  • This is a lame update.

Crash Bandicoot is ok and all but we need more variety. After I got burned from Go! Sports Ski I’ll never buy anything made by those guys again.

How about a meaningful update. Like the Home Beta or something about LittleBigPlanet.

Also, fix the pricing. Canadians shouldn’t have to play more when our dollar is comparable to the US one.

    Thanks for the reply,
Just to clarify, I didn’t have any real hassles downloading the demo or transferring it to the PSP, or juggling accounts which I don’t usually find a problem at all. The only hitch was navigating through the demos introductory screens and the in-game text prompts which are all in Japanese (which I don’t speak/read). After the first level is complete you are prompted to input some text from the mini-keyboard (that too is in Japanese text) and it was at that point my experience came undone!

  • Nice Update. Pretty meaty on both sides (psp/ps3).

  • This is a solid update, SCEA. And it is made solid because you have a mix of everything—-including a PSOne classic! Thanks! Keep it up every week, please.

Hm, I’ve never played the Crash games before, but now that they are all released, and just $6 a pop, I’m tempted to give them a shot.

I wish it was a single player LP demo, because I’m curious how different it plays compared to the 360 version (since it uses the RE4-esque viewpoint added to the PC version). I guess I’ll just wait until it releases and rent it through Gamefly.

    Thanks again, SCEA!

  • Great update guys. I love Crash 3: Warped. Keep up the good work.

  • Crash Bandicoot WARPED is the PS1 game I’ve been waiting for… Hope to see a new PS1 game every week, I’ll probably purchase it!
Good to see the Lost Planet demo coming the same day as in Japan.
And the Skydiving game looks cool and it’s cheap, if there is a positive review about it I’ll purchase as well…
    Great update, thanks!

  • Now thats an update! Please get the PSN cards to the US/UK pronto! I want to spend some cash on PSN without a credit card!

  • Still price gouging Canadians, still no GT5 Prologue Demo that Japan got months ago…

  • Great stuff. How about more offline multiplayer games. Sure would be nice to show off the PS3 to groups of people and give me and the woman some more quality time together.

  • i know there’s a way to download purchased PSP games via the PS3 and transfer them from the PS3 to the PSP, but what about PSP demos? i can’t download any since i’ve got a mac :-(

  • Awesome I wan to buy all those Crash games and other things from the PSN but i dont have a credit card :( Plz tell us at least if they’re coming out soon i can’t wait

  • Great update, but wheres Home? I am super excited for it and its supposed to come out this quarter…

  • Nice update, a bit of everything. I like it.

    @Scodo_Thope #28:
    Pixel Mosters? Great game!

I agree with jaydogg691 #18. Flow looks sharp in 320*240 but I would love to see a clip of it in full 480*272. (The brave story trailer is in 480*270, but it got a nasty compression and a horrible black level.) Please make sure the videos are optimized before uploading.

  • Another nice update!! Good job!

  • On the topic of updates: SingStar’s Singstore updated today with… Wait for it… Seven new songs:

Doves: Black & White Town (Never heard it)
    Editors: Munich (Meh)
Bryan Ferry: Let’s Stick Together (Not exactly a classic)
Whitney Houston: Greatest Love of All (Okay for the warblers, but not much fun to sing along with for the rest of us)
Marillion: Incommunicado (There’s better from the genre in the same era)
MC Hammer: U Can’t Touch This (Rubbish to sing along with)
UB40: Red Red Wine (Naff song, but at least you can belt it out)

Utterly underwhelming. Sony London: what are you playing at? You didn’t respond to all the questions after the Playstation.blog post a few days ago and then you unleash this wave of mediocrity. Where are the big tracks that we will all want to sing? Why only seven tracks?

  • Wow, nice update and keep the PS1 games coming!! (If only to silence the whiners)

    @people asking about Home
Anyone ever hear of the GDC? If we don’t get any word on Home then, feel free to complain all you want, but until then, keep a lid on it.

  • There seriously needs to be a cryptogram/cryptanalysis/cryptography game for PS3 on the Store. The PS3 has enough power to create killer codes to crack!

  • I was wish Go! Sports Skydiving was $2.99 like Go! Sports Ski, but i’ll still buy it.

  • @37 Freereign
    It is, its called Folding@Home

J/k, what do you mean? “Here, my loyal PS3, crack this password hash from my brothers computer”

  • 360 owners got this content two days ago. Why do we always have to wait?

  • Overall it’s a pretty good update. It’s a shame that there aren’t demos for the downloadable games. It should be mandatory. I’m glad there is another PS1 game, it seems there is a schedule to put one out every other week. Maybe it could change to every week?

And where are the Playstation Cards? They were promised for the beginning of 08, and we haven’t heard a word since.

  • GAH!!! More Crash Bandicoot? Let’s see… I guess that means we’re getting somewhere around 1-in-6 games being a Crash game? Woooo…. Come on, I know you got a better selection than that to chose from… Here’s some requests…

    MGS
    GT
    GT2
    Legacy of Kain
    FF7, 8, 9
    FF Tactics
    FF Anthology
    FF Chronicles
    Legend of Dragoon
    Saga Frontier 1 & 2
    Dragon Quest VII
    Resident Evil 1 – 3
    Tekken 1 – 3
    Tomb Raider
    Star Ocean: Second Story
    Einhander
    Azure Dreams
    GTA 1 & 2

I realize a lot of those are Squaresoft and other third party games, but you really should be pushing these guys for re-release on PSN as some of these were the biggest PS1 games of all time. You’ve already shown that you can get third parties to let you do it (Castlevania: SOTN comes to mind). Several of these have sequels coming out in the near future. Now is the time to start milking these franchises by releasing the originals again! Get people back in that frame of mind and get those add-on sales a moving!

  • My wireless router is broke, but there doesn’t seem to be anything worth downloading this week anyway.

  • @Foxx i got a demo of pixeljunk monsters from the Japan store, the game menus and tutorial are all in in english too so it was cool.

  • People need to stop complaining about no FF PS1 games in the PS store. Square Enix doesn’t do that. They haven’t released a single one of their titles on Virtual Console, XBLA, or the PS Store. I wish we could get them, but square likes to rerelease games for more money.

  • Right, good update, it really is. BUT MORE PS1 GAMES. They would go down an absolute storm and dont require being made, its all emulation, go nuts! MGS, Resident evil, all that jazz. I mean, RE1 and RE2 are on the Jap store, bring em across the ocean.

Also im from england, but still give the canadians a break and bring their prices down, its bad enough you rip us off but at least you hide behind the exchange rate for us, the canadians are being robbed in clear daylight.

  • PLAYSTATION NETWORK PARA MEXICO

  • @ Jonnyblaze11 … Thank you for the response … neat that there’s a demo up on the Japanese store at least … still begs the question why it isn’t released here especially if there already is a demo in place. Oh well, thanks again jonny for the reply.

  • I also agree with everyone else about the Canadian prices, especially on Rock Band DLC. I REFUSE to buy single track DLC and get gouged. There’s a lot of songs I’d download if I could get them for fair prices. So for now I’m just sticking to song packs. Smarten up Sony!

  • Exceeded my expectations…now to go grab that Chinese New Year skin…
