Hi Mark, has there been any ideas floating around if EOJ is capable of being developed for the PSP also? I just thought it would it might be cool to play on the road. Lugging my PS3 around always scares me. I'm so afraid to break it.

Many of us at the Playstation forum have lots of difficulties with cheaters. Many of us also have various levels of programming experience. The proposed Honor Filter seems to not at all be a strong resolution. Why are you fellows not taking better action to keep EoJ a fun online experience?

Please don't piss off your fans by price gouging them.

$3.99 or less for the expansion (which should be free) should be a sufficient price point to make up any monies not gained by having WoTC print your cards.

You are already charging $4 for EIGHT cards per pack. Is that not enough? EIGHT!

At the price point of $4 per EIGHT cards I would expect the cost of expansions to have already been factored in to any WoTC printing schemes.

Making profit at the expense of goodwill is a costly endeavor over the long run.

EOJ is picking up steam, why gouge?

I was entirely ready to go on an EoJ evangelical posting spree on some forums that I frequent, until I heard I would be expected to pay for the expansion twice.

EoJ doesn't even scale properly for those with 1080i/480p TV's for God's sake. Forcing those owners to play the coding glory of EoJ in startling 480p resolution!

Take care of your customers first, then consider taxing their wallets.

BTW 1080i functionality can be patched in. I know because other developers have done it. With reputed ease.

I know mvalledor, has covered this , but I too just want to express my disgust at the idea of spending money for the software update. You can put as much spin on it as you want, but the fact of the matter is, the software update will be useless to people unless they buy set 2 cards. So you KNOW that the people, downloading the update will be SPENDING MONEY on your product.

Not only that, but all of the little graphics updates and things in the update should come to the consumers at no extra charge reguardless. We bought the product. If the game was not finished and polished to its full potential, then why was it released ? This goes back to the argument that dlc is becoming a curse to the consumers, because we are now buying ( essentially ) unfinished games, and being forced to pay for the final product.

Dont get me wrong, I love the game, in fact I just bought it, along with 2 theme decks and 4 boosters. But you can see why Im upset, after spending well over a $100, that now I find out, that im going to have to spend EVEN MORE, for better graphics, and encyclopedia that should have been in the game in the first place, and the ability to use set 2 cards, which I will have to spend even more money on.

Shame on you guys.

BTW... If you actually plan on implementing any or all of my above idea, I relinquish any ownership of the idea. If your lawyers need any of that in writing, contact me.

(I only say this because there is a story from the creator himself of Babylon5 where they had to hold one episode for an entire season until they could track down the fan who suggested the episode's basic premise coincidentally after the episode had been outlined. The lawyers kept the episode from being produced and aired until they had in writing that the fan wouldn't sue for royalties on his idea...)

Hey, mvalledor. First, thank you for keeping up the dialog even past page 3 of comments. Neofire was asking about a "real" spectator mode where people could watch you play. I've had a thought that would be really cool, but I don't know if you have the programming resources to make it a reality (i.e. time and money...). What would be cool is an integration of EoJ into Home. This scenario would be from a third-party perspective. The players would see what they currently see now. The two players' avatars would be sitting on either side of a table with the play board with possibly status info floating above the table or on a "center court" type display like in basketball or hockey games. The players' avatars would be holding a 'hand' of cards (matching the quantity of cards), but no one could see what is on the cards so you can't have 3rd party cheating. When a player plays a card, their avatar would move to place a card either on a square or wave it above the board. The creature's 3D icons would be standing on the board as the players see it. If the players have animations on then when a fight starts the 3D icons could take over the table and then duke it out. If the players have animations off, then (like in the game) a quick exchange of blows could hapen on the game board. This way anyone wandering around Home for a ranked battle could watch, or anyone already invited to a player's "apartment" could watch for a custom match.

I hope that made sense, and is within the resources and desires of the coding team. Then if Sony sponsors any tourneys, it could all take place in a Home tournament room/building for everyone to see. And thus also raising the consumer education of the game... Read "game marketing itself" ;-)

Mvalledor,
I just want to say how GREAT EOJ is. I had some questions and comments if you don’t mind, good sir.
1)	I know it has been stated a million times but a campaign mode would be so cool. I remember when I first read reviews on the game (only for curiosity, I was going to get the game regardless) they stated that it should have a campaign. Didn’t really understand until I got the game, saying that the opening movie is a tease is an understatement. : )
2)	About the set 2 cost, I know there has been a lot of talk about it recently. I heard a lot of money is going to wotc from card sales (I hope not more than 60%). My question is how involved with the game are they? (besides card distribution)
3)	Also on the blog somewhere, it said that they were trying to balance dodge and Biolith decks. Should I put my favorite card/hero Tino on the back burner? Though I am going to attempt to play Biolith even if they get powered down. Also I want to see the Biolith Warlord!! (I don’t think it was shown in the pictures), hp6, atk 3, magic attack that targets all creatures on the board. When a creature is summoned to a Biolith, field gain 2 mana. Biolith invocation. Subtract 2 from the summoning cost of all Bioliths. Now that is what I call a warlord!! (He is not totally overpowered…..he only has 6hp lol).
4)	One last question, are they going to allow players to ally with the Biolith faction in the online mode?
Thanks for reading my ramblings

I'm just curious. I may have missed it in a previous comment and if so I apologize. However, is it possible for an update or even a PSO store purchase to download something that will increase the deck limit? As it stands I believe the limit is 8. Just curious. Thanks.

Thank you mvalledor for your polite and insightful response.

One more question - what are Sony's plans for this game after Set 3? Will you continue EoJ on the PS4 and beyond?
