Ok. I don't know what is going on here......... I am still trying to decipher or ascertain what is going on.......

I'll be blunt, the gaming industry is on the path of destruction despite record-breaking sales in hardware and software. As much as I hate to say this Sony, you guys seem to be headed in the same direction with the industry as a whole, which is on the path of destruction. What happened to computer entertainment? Now you guys are more concerned about marketing your new technologies via video game consoles, or in your case, computer entertainment systems. You along with all the other people in this industry and that includes the competition have lost the edge in being able capture the hearts of consumers. Another thing I would like to point out is that this particular console generation is the most unstable, unpredictable, confusing, and souless of any console generation to date. Honestly, I don't even care who wins this generation anymore because you along with competition have sold your souls for the mighty dollar and power. You are no longer about creating quality computer entertainment. In fact, you don't even care about entertainment anymore, all you care about is the mighty dollar. You guys talking to M$ about incorporating Blu-ray on their console is the perfect testament that you have sold your souls away for the mighty dollar. And don't tell me that I'm wrong because I am not. Once you won with Blu-ray and M$ was vulnerable you were looking to cash in on M$ and Toshiba's defeat by generating more revenues for your electronics division. I still love you Sony but I no longer like your attitude toward the gaming world anymore. And it is not just you, but the whole industry just has me upset and I no longer care about who the crap wins or loses.

lately the store updates SUCK period.! week after week theres no new PS1 games and the ones that do get released are so-so games not like MGS, Final Fantasy and so on. There have been some cool updates like flOw and whatnot but damn it seems the updates just get worse and worse lately and yeah it's ultra rare for the staff to respond to our comments and if they do it's only a response to a comment that is positive which is also rare there practically all negative comments cause we're not seeing any new ps1 games, very low amount of new demos and games to download and overall i simply get disappointed week after week which is making the playstation store "boring" to me now.....was exciting before just get some better updates with more stuff and make the updates more frequent at least twice a week

Once again, the 360 got the 2k8 demo this week as well, so it isn't like PS3 owners got shafted this with update.

Somewhat puzzling is the lack of a HSG5 demo on the US store considering the fact that it hits the streets this Wednesday. Between disappointing R&C (Yakuza 3) sales, the success of DMC4 going multi-plat, Idolmaster having the highest dlc on XBLA despite only being in Japan where the 360's user base is non existent, it's like Sony basically gave up Namco (Ace Combat, Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, Idolmaster), Square (who announced LR as PS360 a while back), Capcom, and letting companies loyal to Sony suffer for it. All so they could fund HS, Lair, Folklore, Genji2. Not exactly an impressive trade off.

Thank you! I take great compliment from your words, I too notice that there is an unusually high number of people who are one side of the fence or the other, and I just love Sony'Hardcore', and for a great reason, they've proven themselves the ultimate in console gaming, now before sounding like a total bumlicking fanboy, I do want to iterate that; by ultimate console I mean who else could put Nintendo in a shadow, they are the Legendary company that practically invented the consumer market of console games, if you don't count the official firestarter Atari-Colleco etc.
I mean I've witnessed this industry take it's tosses and turns, and all of the companies roll with their individual punches that they've been thrown, being 28 approaching 100, I've stood along for basically all of it, and as a child I didn't have priveleages such as 'multiple consoles' so usually had to analyze the market, and buy the one that was going to give the most, and now with ps3, and this extremely close relationship the devs, and employees of SCEI etc, are keeping with the consumers/fans it's a great conduit to give constructive criticism, rather than sit on one side of the fence and do nothing, or the other, and be completely pompous.

Once again, thanks for the credit man, it's appreciated greatly.

Hello everyone at Sony! This is a great time for the company as it is moving past its dark days and entering into its glorious days. Aside from computer entertainment at Sony, everything in our businesses seem to be moving along into the realm of success. As far as it concerns our electronics divisions, I am utterly impressed with what the company has for the consumer, currently on the market. It seems as if the Sony name brand is becoming what it used to be which was and is "like. no. other." As for as our computer entertainment division is concerned, I am very proud of the rebound we have made and trust that we will continue our momentum throughout this year. Sales are finally starting to come through for Playstation 3 computer entertainment systems and trust that things will only get better as we move forward with our plan for this year. Sony Online Entertainment business is also picking up as we near the release of the highly anticipated Playstation Home online service. Our main competitor, Nintendo at the moment is enjoying resounding success with its smash it "Smash Brother's Brawl. It's an undeniable smash and we at Sony commend the big N for delivering a quality computer entertainment experience with its BEST OFFERING. We at Sony may not be fast or quick or hasty but we have definetly proven to be CONSISTENT. We all at Sony will watch the success of Nintendo's smash title while continuing our efforts at being the best in computer entertainment. In doing so, we are growing and expanding our library of titles for PS3, PSP, as well as PS2. Most notably for PS3, SCEA will be releasing the smash hit Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. Adding these titles and future titles like Haze, Granturismo 5, Little Big Planet, and among others will strengthen Playstation as the authority brand for computer entertainment abroad. Everyone keep up the good work and may Sony once again rise to the top of electronics entertainment. By the way, there is nothing on the market that even remotely compares to our Bravia HD TVs, absolutely nothing.

Sony....... like. no. other.
