I use a 16:10 monitor to play PS3 games, and when in 720p mode it cuts a considerable amount off the edges of the screen. This is pretty frustrating at times since there is some important info on the edges of the screen that is cut. Most games have an option to resize the screen, but Hot Shots does not (that I’ve found). Is there a possibility we could get this patched in at some point? Other than that, this is an awesome game and I am having tons of fun playing it!

hey chris,jeff or any one of the developers, when are we going to get ratchet and clank,jax and daxter,and drake from uncharted as playable characters? you had ratchet and jax on your other game you have to bring them back pleeeeease. and even had drake this time, so can we expect any of these characters as downloadable content? id pay for it and im sure almost everyone with this game would too.

Are you meaning the stupid looking spandex shorts all the girls are wearing under their kilts? Yes, its really stupid looking. My wife even finds it distractingly silly.

Anyone want to swap for the Japanese version?

You unlock them by beating them, once you have enough experience in an area you can challenge them. There are also 3 Characters that unlock at random by the cards you select at the end of the match.

Previous versions of HotShots Golf allowed the user to choose which characters to unlock. HSG5 does not seem to have that option. How do I unlock characters? I thought challenge mode unlocked characters but I’m only getting access to the introductory characters.

Sorry to sound like a nitpicker but when a core game is so good, you really notice the issues:

Major issue: Why does it seem like you guys intentionally made it so frustrating to play online? No voice. Numpad keyboard. 4-word limit. Inability to invite friends. And the real kicker? You can’t play with eachother unless you have the same course. You don’t even see the room. No scratch that. You can’t play with eachother unless you have the SAME Membership to tees. (long tee, short tee). These are objects earned at RANDOM. I’m sorry if I sound harsh, but this is pretty ridiculous. Can’t play together unless we both hit the lottery for a membership? You guys need to smooth a few things out, because if you do, I promise you, this game has LEGS. It will last.

While we’re at it, will be ever be able to set up our own tourneys? How come the manual mentions spectating for tourneys but none are set to allow . (Exhibition.)

Please take these considerations to heart. I’ve played a ridiculous amount of HSG:OOB since last week and I want to play it for a long time to come, but some of the decisions made are just mind-boggling.

Is there any chance that you could give the anime style characters and let them have the japanese voice overs.

I would so like to see these guys in action.
