I got Patapon a few days ago and I love it. It looks so simple on the surface but its actually quite deep and strategic. I love the way the Patapon chant after they’ve been in Fever for a while…

I’ve just got some Yaripon. Has anyone got any specific strategies for which Patepon to use for which enemies?

I am glad as a Patapon fan to have found this blog and these wonderful tips. Patapon was a system seller for me. I had held off buying any portable game system for a few years due to my eyesight. However, Patapon got me so excited that I tried a store system demo and realized the PSP screen and graphics could work for me. I later purchased a PSP and Patapon.

Notes:

-My only true complaint is that it is so hard to put Patapon down in terms of enjoyment as well as interruption. Building up ten successful beats to gain Fever and then getting distracted by real life is a downer. If only it took fewer beats (like five)… I am glad to read here that Fever can be more quickly achieved if extremely precise with the button presses.
-I have yet to get past the section using the catapult against the enemy forces, but I’m not giving up. The tips I’ve read here are sure to help.
-Thanks for the image with the various Patapon. Finding useful game information online has been difficult. My grateful thanks to the Patapon team!

I love this game, but I hate that it keeps distracting me from other things I have to play. I’ve had a few PC previews sitting on my desk for days now, because every time I get ready to play a game I hear the call of Patapon.

So, I think enough time has passed. It’s time for some sort of Patapon 2 announcement, as well as BearBricks coming stateside. They are outrageously priced on eBay 50-60 dollars.

I keep hearing the Japanese version has exclusive weapons that didn’t make it to the US version. Is that true?!? Something about a sword and a bow.

No unfortunatly you can’t (as far as I know). It’s probably to balance things out a bit.
And if you are having trouble with a certian level, than just go hunt and beat bosses. Than make a new PataPon line up. You can disband Patapons you don’t need by pressing SELECT when viewing patapons in the Obelisk menu! Hope it helps :)
