I thought Warhawk was on sale through today?…04/15/08. I tried to buy it yesterday, but the store was down. I finally get in today and it’s back up to 39.99. What gives?

Noel, I really appreciate that you and some of the others with SCEA are on here responding to our comments. It’s a good FIRST STEP. What’s really needed though is a feedback forum. I mean, I understand that there’s a lot you can’t directly comment on, but how about passing the issues/comments/questions that YOU can’t comment on to the people who can AND (this is the important part) getting them to provide an answer? Are the right people even hearing any of this anyway? I mean, SCEA isn’t the government. There are no state secrets here. Let’s have more dialogue with the customer base, eh? Still, like I said, it’s great that you guys are doing the amount that you ARE doing… but why wait until one of your competitors does it better to improve? Why not be better leagues than everyone else from the get-go and FORCE everyone else to step up? Why not commit fully to providing the best service that you can? Sony isn’t a small company with limited resources. Everyone in the world knows Sony… and I think that’s part of the reason so many people are getting ticked off about the “dipping our toes in the water” approach to PSN content: you have the ability to be better (as, apparently, the Japanese store proves) and provide as much as possible… to fully commit… so why don’t you?

I will understand if you don’t or can’t answer most of this, but some kind of response will still be appreciated.

Next time someone complains about a PSN update:

look what they do to fill their updates – pay for themes (thank you sony for allowing us to make our own) and picture packs.

That makes sense lol .i did read your previous comments ..anyway the secrecy thing i have to agree with ,it just feels that as a PS3 owner were just sitting behind then again come to think of it i dont recall anything ground breaking for the other systems so i guess were actually getting the better deal …with Home and other stuff coming out. Believe it or not im actually really patient it just bugs me to no end not knowing what im waiting for its not the wait that gets me,I look forward to every thursday and it just seems that every week its the same thing ..Hopefully that will really start to change with the Store update. To ME thinking about all the stuff to look forward to makes it ALOT easier to wait for it cuz atleast then i know its coming …but the point about some people not being happy with that makes sense so i guess i cant fault u guys for that.Pretty much all i really want right now is some good solid info and some confirmation on the really badas* stuff comin to the system…and if my previous comment sounds like a rant its not im just REALLY curious about whats been goin on …so thanx for the response and thanx before hand for the Store update i cant wait to try it out . Why do u guys Keep EVERYTHING secret like the firmware updates and PSN releases and whatnot. Last i checked u have to have a copyright for just about everything …And this includes info on Home and IN-game XMB. Is it a surprise or what???? because if i remember right u pay for surprises with being good in some way or another not with cold hard cash.Thats like going into a store and handing the cashier $1000 and telling him or her “give me a call when u figure out what i want and dont tell me ANYTHING until your good and ready ” nowadays i dont see this happening. Now i know youve made no promises but what good is a blog when ur kept in the dark on the stuff that counts the most. And as far as PS1 Games go i dont care about what some other country is getting or not America is supposed to be a free country There shouldnt be anything we cant have if we want it and i understand about releasing content in its home country thats cool but when their content out numbers ours 10 or 20 to 1 thats not a translation problem or a region problem thats a not getting of your [DELETED] problem. Micro[DELETED] had twice the content we do at this time in the Xbox please fix mes life span.This not a Rant im just venting concerns now that somebody might actually answer. To Be honest the Psn has come a ways in the last couple weeks im seeing more stuff in stores and there are some good titles (that you prolly wont confirm until whenthehellever)coming out one of these days,you are also talking to us more(starting last week lol i hope that doesnt change)so no more runarounds and vague answers ,and silent treatment. I bought my PS3 and PSP for GAMES and content That you all have said were comin with it now i know you didnt anounce specifics on most of it but why say the PSN was gonna have downloadable content like classic games and only release a handful in the first year and a half??? (Billion Dollar Corp+Talented people=Stuff getting done= our moneys worth in a timely manner.Another Thing concerning PS1 Games ill tell ya a great way to speed the process of converting the language ……you ready??……. USE THE AMERICAN RELEASE!!!!!!! How about that, its already using OUR LANGUAGE Make your Controller and Package changes and its ready for release on PSN A good Hacker could have it done in less than 5 hours and thats taking your time ….and About the Demand for it (ur response from a few articles above) How are ya gonna know who wants it if you DONT RELEASE IT??? seems to me like releasing the PS3 was a Gamble and its doin alright so far there is no possible way to know before hand whats gonna sell otherwise the PS3 would be in the lead now wouldnt it (BTW its still 3rd The ps2 still sells more.If Either of you cannot answer my concerns put me in touch with someone who can ( i would use the E-mail Route but i dont like getting hokey and VERY vague replies stating sumthing about what sony can and cannot answer,and feel free to get pissy right back at me atleast then ill know

Also, SCEE has announced there will be no new content until the new store re-design is implemented.
Can anyone comment on ANY the following:
1) Will we be seeing a similar pause in content delivery in the US?
2) Will the US version of the store interface be graphically identical to the PAL store – which released screenshot samples to Eurogamer?
3) Will US get the store upgrade at the same time as PAL region (whenever that may be)?
4) Will the new upgrade require new firmware?
5) Any insight into the “special surprise” alluded to by SCEE and will US receive the same prize?
6) How quickly would you be fired if you answered all of the above questions candidly in this comments section?

We’ll be keeping our eyes on the PlayStation.Blog for more info!

A sincere thank you to you and the rest of the team (Nick Colberg, Ro Hernandez, Grace Chen, etc.) for noticeably stepping up the responses to the blog posts.
