In case you missed it, a mysterious Metal Gear trailer appeared online last week, recalling a famous location from MGS1. If you haven’t seen it yet, just direct your attention to the video below …
Of course, we can’t go into detail about what it actually means, nor do we want to spoil anything for you here – but, please, don’t let us hold back your imaginations …
Likewise, another mysterious trailer was released on April Fool’s day, in “disguise” …
As many now know, this is in fact a trailer for MGS4, and reveals some of the incredible first few gameplay moments of the MGS4 itself.
If you had missed either, we thought we’d point them out here, as they both show off some substantial teasers for what awaits.
Otherwise, we are working on some surprises in store for later on in the week, as we come to the close of the MGO Beta period. Please stay tuned here on the PSB!

All I know is that this is the game that got me into gamming. If the really did remake this game or you somehow RE-visit Shadow Moses I’m gonna freak out. As will anyone else who has played the since then. This trailer has absolutely got me itching to find out more.
I hope the post later this week is more informative. This was old news.
How about some information on what changes may be implemented in the final release of Metal Gear Online based on user feedback from the beta. Many of us would love to see a party mode implemented in the final version so we can actually play with our friends on the same team without waiting hours for other players to join the game.

I’m literally itching to do some PS3 unit pre-ordering, but you’re making it much harder on us! Yes the new MGS “RE” trailer is amazing… but I’ve yet to see a single headline that I truly care about on these so called “Metal Gear Mondays”. Please get your act together, guys.

Well thanks for the update. Not the pre-order info I wanted, but its much better than nothing. I think people were expecting a lot after the first week had so much good info.

Well, what else did you expect! The wait for anything MGS is always a roller coaster. That last sentence gives me hope though. Here’s hoping for something really cool. It’s gonna be a long wait.

I like the two teasers. They don’t seem to reveal too much and leave a lot open to interpretation. Not much to complain there but as a hardcore MGS fan, I already saw them when they came out. I too was hoping for some more news ( like the game is shipping early ;) ). Still, I take what I can get. I can’t wait for the new news. It’s going to be a long week.
I’ve been a long time MGS fan since MGS1 for the PSOne (I recall when Metal Gear 1 and 2 were released for the SNES but I was too much into Zelda and Double Dragon too appreciate the SNES versions of MG).
The MGS series was the first time I played a game that I thought was more fulfilling than most popular movies or books of the time. It had a great back story, wonderful plot, and had these interesting thoughts about philosophy, war, and fatalism. Beyond being a great game, it had ideas. Big ideas. MGS2 and MGS3 were the same. I can’t wait for MGS4 for the next ride.
It’s great that we’re nearing June 12. I just can’t come soon enough.

i do have to say however i am disappointed with the Metal Gear Monday, because most fans [as myself one] has already seen these trailers
however, it is still informative to the casual gamers and konami team deserve the credit for this information
i am excited for next week as it marks:
1. the end of MGO
2. a month before MGS4 release

Terrible…I thought Metal Gear Monday was supposed to be an announcement on something new pertaining to MGS4, not a rehash of old news that’s been posted on or heard about on other blogs. About a month away from release and still no news on the so-called gunmetal hardware bundle. Doesn’t even have to be news on that….Just give us something that hasn’t been posted on a million other blogs already.

You commenters need to calm down. This is great and even though I’ve seen it before, its good to know it comes from an ‘official’ source and has something bigger behind it yet-to-be-revealed.
I swear you people complain way too much for something that you’re not paying for.
As for me, I’ve pre-ordered MGS4: GotP Special Edition (and paid in full $90.94 after tax), and also pre-ordered the MGS4 strategy guide (spec ed) even though I really don’t know what the difference is between a special edition strategy guide and the regular besides 7 bucks. Either way, there are 36 more days until MY most anticipated game finally graces my PLAYSTATION 3, and if I were to get no more Metal Gear Mondays, or any other pertinent info until June 12th, I’d still be the happiest son-of-a-gun browsing the internet.
Some of you should lighten up.

give me a break. i have paid for the l.e. and i want to pay…for the bundle, but even now with just over a month they refuse to put the pre-order info for it out. meanwhile media outlets are revealing how japan is now getting a “welcome bundle”, but it’s like sony/konami couldn’t be less interested in giving us the most vital info with time getting short.

The lack of new stuff has not really bothered me. You say there will be a few surprises, and I’m sure they aren’t very small.
Actually, it’d be pretty cool if the guys who knew what they were doing could make an official MGS4 PS3 Theme. But thats just wishful thinking.

I had not seen the first clip before, it’s making me want to pull out the old MGS. :) I love the new “sneaking” move in the MGO Beta.
I’ve seen the second clip before, but I didn’t know it was disguised as the first moments of gameplay in MGS4 (is this right?).

u guys say this stuff is old but i honestly am seeing the Assassins Creed/MGS thing for the first time. I can’t wait to get my hands on this game and really get into it. Sad to say with all these great games and Beta testing i haven’t really gotten a chance to get immersed into one specific game. Between GT5, GTAIV, MGO beta, and all the old stuff like FIFA 08 and Warhawk I’m happy MGS is not going to be out for a good while. Keep up the good work SONY keep releasing good quality games on the PlayStation 3
I pray to God that KONAMI remakes MGS1 for PS3 (only), as well as MG and MG2 remakes for PSP.

I agree with GRAY_FOX_HOUND, give us the freaking details for the Gun Metal bundle already. All they left us was it’ll be very very limited, truly just drives me nuts. What does that mean, 500, 5000, 50000, how many is very very limited and what do I have to do to get my hands on one.
The weird thing I thought about the “dream sequence” was that snake entered the outside part of shadow moses through a weird way, as I seem to recall didn’t he use an elevator to get there in MGS1. On another note I have heard rumors that the 80gb bundle with MGS4 will not be backwards compatible, does anyone know if that is true?
@38 It wouldn’t surprise me. Here in the uk we haven’t had a backward compatible ps3 available since before Christmas.

I am one of the unfortunate souls who didn’t get to play previous Metal Gear games, I only played Portable Ops in the PSP. I just hope we wont get pretty much left out in the storyline of the game.
This game looks wonderful. They have really out done themselves with this installment.
I’m really looking forward to picking this up with the Greymetal PS3.

WOW This is the worst Metal Gear Mondays ever, you just came here to tell about a bout 2 videos that have been out for weeks???. If you don’t have anything to post, just don’t post anything, don’t come here next week to let us know that we can play as Snake in SSBB for Wii, we know that already too.
I really don’t want to here any thing about the story. I would rather wait untill JUN 12th to hear or see any thing about MGS4. I have seen a few trailer’s and I’M SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shadow Moses in MGS4 is old news. Not to spoil anything but I believe its the TGS 07 trailer towards the end you see Old Snake in Metal Gear Rex and the Liquid Ocelot comes in Metal Gear Ray and the background looks a lot like Shadow Moses.
My question for Brandon is once MGO Beta is finished can we just delete the file or do we have to keep it to unlock something special in MGS4?
