    @Slimer#86
    You can buy The Legend of Dragoon for $9.99 at here

    @thatsmartguywiththefro and anybody else interested

    In buying Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation. You can buy it here as part of a trilogy pack which includes MGS2 & MGS3 called, Metal Gear Solid: The Essentials.

    @ 103OldManGaming
    Good comeback

    “I just think it’s ridiculous that Sony makes big deal you can download PSOne games to your PSP or PS3 and then only offer 21 of them. At least they could have the top 100 most popular or something.”

    You bring up a good point but that top 100 seems very unlikely.

    @136SDKnight

    I hope you know that Sony has specific teams that work on getting the PS1 games emulated for the PS3/PSP in North America, Japan, Europe and if they’re there foreign titles then they have to get the original PlayStation code from them in order to work on them and translate them. And ya, your right. People complain for the sake of complaining because they can.

    @147TouchyEd

    “Most games All games use pre-rendered CGI for teaser trailers. The whole gaming industry has been doing this for ages.” “I dearly wish they’d abandon this tactic though. In the past, it was easy to see that the video was pre-rendered, but with today’s advanced graphics, it’s often difficult to tell if the visuals are “in-game” or pre-rendered. And I agree: fancy pre-rendered videos are very misleading, and just result in angry and disappointed gamers.”

    Although I would say I agree with your opinion but the use of those CGI trailers are only for selling the game. It’s a weak tactic but it’s not meant to actually represent the final or retail game that you’re purchasing. It’s just a way of doing business with game consumers. You have to sell the product in order to put it out. Some trailers use special shoot footage which is material that has been created specifically for advertising purposes such as big tiles like Hideo Kojima’s MGS trailers and that footage does not appear in the actual game. Since the main purpose of the trailer is to attract video gamers to the buy the game, so therefore the trailer must have maximum appeal (in which all cases, they create GGI) in order to appeal to gamers even though the game is bad so there able to present even poor games in an attractive light. It’s just business.

    Last, this PSN update was impressive. Good job.

  • GameTrailers LIES AGAIN!

    When will it stop.

    GRID does look good on the PS3.

  • when are PSN cards coming. They were said to be shipping weeks last month and they’re still not here.

  • Great update:

    I enjoyed the Bourne Demo a lot, as well as GRID.

    There’s been a lot of requests for PS1 games in the store. And I truly agree with them as I’m a ps1 player myself. Yes, I know I can get old ps1 games on amazon and ebay, but I can’t play them on my psp, so the digital download is always welcome.

    Anyway, if you aren’t going to upload more of them, why not adding a CD-ROM to Memory Stick conversion option to the ps3 system? So we can convert our existing ps1 collections to the psp without having to wait to our favorite games to make it to the store (if you’re worried about the money, you can charge a couple of bucks for using/downloading the feature) (for that I would need the psn cards also, but you already promised them, right?).

    I am dying to play MGS, Armored Core, Megaman 8, X4, X5 and X6 on the go! (region free would be great so many of us can get rockman complete works too).

    Except for MGS in the Japanese Store, you weren’t going to upload any of the games I just listed, were you?. Go on, just admit it.

    I know I’m just dreaming, but expressing our opinions is what this forum is for, right?

    Another thing; I don’t think requesting more PS1 games is such a bad thing; most ps1’s are near-broken by now and most ps2’s will be the same way soon. Consoles are not forever (not even the ps3!). So these digital downloads are a great way to keep those games alive.

    Yes, there should be more new content, too. But most important than that; THERE MUST BE OPTIONS for everyone. Not just more and more FPS or Pixel Junk Monsters or whatever there is already on the store. So we can say; “I don’t want ps1 games, so I’ll get the Dark Sector demo” or “I don’t want the Haze demo; let’s try FFVII instead”.

    If you don’t want Crash Bandicoot for PS1, JUST DON’T DOWNLOAD IT. But that game must still be in the store for the people who does want it. Along with many other games. So that ps1 to psp conversion tool might prove useful.

  • Am I the only one who thought Bourne is going to be a terrible game? Playing for 5 seconds and being interrupted constantly is not my idea of fun. Playing an essentially linear re-implementation of the movie is not entertaining, I own it, I’ve watched it half a dozen times.

    Come on, even Death by Degrees (PS2) was less linear and had far better fighting controls too.

  • There’s a serious lack of third party PSN games. I don’t know what Sony is doing, but they need to encourage other third parties to support PSN.

    Honestly, looking at the two other systems, it’s clear that PSN is really lagging behind in terms of 3rd party games.

  • Crappy update from a PSP-owner pespective, but I am glad that the PS3 got lots of love.

    The one nice thing about the PSOne games posted, is that if there isn’t much available for one system (i.e. PSP in this case) it eases the frustration.

    Suikoden was just rated by the ESRB too, btw, so I am ANXIOUSLY looking for it and it’s sequel on PSN.

  • True……… But I wan’t to know why the EU Store has a Killzone2 theme this update and we don’t!? I mean come on many of the supporting fan base of Killzone is in the US! You know the part of the world where FPS are major hits if they are good or not?

    I mean I can only guess as to why the EU Store has Killzone2 theme, and we don’t but for the love of god do a mini PSN update for the US and give us a Killzone2 theme as well!:

    BTW Release a few PSone games, and some new BD trailers, and last but not least post some PSP demos for the fallowing games:

    Killzone: Liberation
    Final Fantasy VI: Crisis Core
    Burnout: Dominator
    Jeane D’rc
    Tekken Dark Resurrection

    For PSone games:

    Final Fantasy VI: It would shut up all the import snobs for once, and the whiners as well trust me just get it out for us! Square is remakeing all the PSone games on the PSP, as well as DS Lite how hard could it be to release the PSone games as they were for the PSP/PS3?

    Gex: Enter the Geko

    Mabye get Lucas Arts to release some of the PSone games that they had as well? IE StarWars comes to mind here, as well as some major raceing games from Lucas Arts where on the PSone as well.

  • you need to let us rent movies from the ps3 store like the xobx 360 does

  • @ number 161
    – They are already working on it, plus Play TV will come out 2. Hasn’t anyone figured out why there is View Subscriptions under Account Management ? …. its cause there is going to be movie renting

    @ number 158
    – There are more games coming out like Bionic Commando Rearmed etc.

    @ number 155
    – Im guessing around July but you can always use a prepaid credit card

    I would like to see more content in every PS Store Update, more frequent Firmware Updates and more frequent Info Board Topics.
    HOME should have a built in service center for all Playstation related products.

  • Has anyone played Bourne? I am downloading that bad boy tonight!
