  • Oh, now we have big shot coming on here with his pithy, sarcastic remarks when people are genuinely upset with the last two updates. I bet he’s sitting there with a smug look on his face thinking, “Ha, I showed them!” What you’re forgetting is that you gave us no content. Not for one week but two weeks in a row. It hasn’t been this bad since the PS3 first came out. Maybe you should spend less time thinking up clever come backs and more time APOLOGIZING and EXPLAINING the lack of content.
Dark Mist is ready, I know because I just downloaded it off the Hong Kong store. Why couldn’t we have gotten that? Oh, no market for it in the US? So we don’t want original creative games here in the US? Are you that out of touch?
I just downloaded the DLC for Army of Two off the UK store. What? Not ready for us US customers?
This is a joke. You better spend more time MAKING CONTENT FOR YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS INSTEAD OF THINKING OF WITTY COMMENTS.

    wth??? Noel was responding to
whiners and i would have done the same thing if i was in noels place

  • Come on Noel. I’m not the type to act like a jerk such as a lot of other people are here (which I understand why), but Sony needs to stop beating around the bush.

Have you yet to notice that mostly EVERY PSN Thursday is a disappointment in the comments of the update post? Have you noticed how far ahead, in community online features and online store content, your competition is (that includes the Wii and 360). We can get more game videos on the 360 marketplace, literally every game video released for a certain game, than we can get on the PS3. The 360 gets demos whenever they are ready, we end up waiting two weeks without one. They get at least one game a week, we wait a month or two, maybe three for one game.

“If you’d like to see these titles on the Store, let those publishers know; let them hear from the fans that want to play these titles again. They are the original publishers for this region; they can’t appear on the Store without their approval.”

Come on Noel. Do you not see the mistake in that comment. YOU guys are Sony, your supposed to be doing this. If we were doing this, we’d be doing a whole better job than you guys. Look at Wii with it’s back-catalog of games ranging from the NES to the Nintendo 64, over 130 games a lot by different publishers, and they managed to get them all. How is Sony Japan getting all those 3rd party titles on the PS3? Exactly.

Get us better content, better features, and more updates. Thats all I ask.

    • The fact that there are so many lengthy and well thought out comments here (like yours above) shows how much people truly care and aren\’t \”trolling\”.

As I work on the art for the Store and am not in direct control over content, or the acquisition of it, my comment was intended to divert blame or responsibility, but to try to inform people of another avenue to direct their concerns.

Although I don\’t directly work on the content, I can promise you that I will continue to pass along your concerns to those that are better suited to this and let them know the \”will of the people.\”

  • not very happy with the update but it’s something. You better make it up to us next week!

  • …You know, this is sad.

The way people get on here is just ridiculously sad. You people need to learn something called *patience*. Yes, I said *patience*, and if you don’t know what that word means, then you need to look it up. Sony is a *hardware* company. We have got to understand once and for all that it will take *time* for them to give us the things that we want. If you continue acting like little pissy children, then it *will not* get things done any quicker. Let Sony do their job for crying out loud.

I’m certain that when I read Harai’s interview concerning the PS3, he said that Sony has a lot more work to do for the system. And if they said that they have a lot more work to do, then they have a lot more work to do.

You people get on like this is some easy task or something. We don’t know how hard it is to program these games on PSN and get them out. You may say ‘sure, but XBL gets these things out faster!’, but you have to keep in mind that the PS3 is a complex system. These things cannot be done within a month.

How about we at LEAST be grateful that we have a free service, and we have some worthwhile games on PSN for a change? Oh, and be grateful that we have a kick-ass game coming out? Like…Metal Gear Solid 4?

And can you blame the blogger for being *witty*? All of you are acting like freakin’ children at a birthday party. It’s just sickening.

As for me Sony, I wanna know when the PSN cards are coming out? I have a credit card but I prefer using the PSN cards.

And also, will we hear more news about Final Fantasy XIII at E3 or something?

    • \”As for me Sony, I wanna know when the PSN cards are coming out? I have a credit card but I prefer using the PSN cards.\”

The PSN cards are in the process of making their way out to stores. Some people have spotted them at various retail outlets, so keep your eyes pealed.
In the meantime, I\’ll see if I can get a more definitive answer for y\’all.

  • #151

you must know nothing about product licensing,
just because it was licensed to japan or the U.K.
doesnt mean that the makers of the game licensed to the U.S.

  • @153

I agree with you, i dont like to complain but Stunt has a point. That’s your job to get approvals and how come like he said Japenese store got all those 3rd party titles?

    • \”…how come like he said Japenese store got all those 3rd party titles?\”

Each region has different licensing terms and rights. For example, one game may be published in one territory by one company but by a totally different one in a different region.
e.g. The \”God of War\” series is published by SCEA in North America, but by Capcom in Japan.
Because each territory is different, this often leads to different release dates and / or limitations.
Hope this helped to answer your question about the new titles in the Japanese Store!

  • #155

    well said!!!

  • Thank you #158. I just get sick to my damn stomach whenever I come here to hear about updates.

  • lol ok Noel.. i do like the sarcasm its funny and better that “we at sony appreciate ur patiens and all that”… this update is pretty bad but i can live just please tell me about the sony cards?? i just wanna know! summer or not? u said they were shippin them out months ago!

  • NOEL READ THIS!
I will appologize for the dumb fans we have on here, as a whole many ps3 owners are very happy, u jsut get 100 bunch of idoits B**** about updates, the demos we get are well polished, pre-order BF Bad company and play the demo today guys, and the videos are awsome, it takes TIME TO DEVELOPE GAMES, YOU TRY CODING Millions of instructions for a machine to read, then translate it into 20 different languages, and plus guys, THEY CANT DEMO GAMES IF THERE ISNT THAT MANY DEMOS GOING OUT RIGHT NOW! And as far as the idoits saying that we dont have enough PS1 Titles, i agree, however, ITS THE PUBLISHER WHO OK’S IT! Now, Sony, you should get ur OWN TITLES onto the store, but the 3rd party games, we understand! And as far as downloadable games, im happy u are trying to differentiate urselves from Microsoft, but purchasing and making more downloable games, to getting a new game every week or 2 would be REALLY SWEET! And A GOOD MARKET FOR YOUR MOENY MAKING MICRO-TRANSACTIONS THAT PAY FOR YOUR ONLINE SERVERS! But, you have done a great job, the up-coming FW 2.4, and due to the lack of games out now….i am still impressed, and happy to see you are getting more 3rd party publishers to post regular content updates as trialers or demos. I again am very sorry NOEL AND GRACE for the mean comments, im sure ppl jsut got frustrated. But if some of us payed $600, can u blame them for beign a little upset when being compared to the $250 and $300 conosles….

  • I’m noticing a trend here, and of course any mod/dev here will not respond to this message, because it goes along with said trend.

Anyone with inquiries about Dark Mist does not get replies by the Devs/Mods, and It’s kinda ridiculous.

    1. It was stated that Dark Mist won’t be released for NA? Why is this? It’s obvious there is a market for it in the NA, as you can see the ammount of people that are requesting more info on it within just the blog itself, not even counting the amount of people asking for more info about it on various forums (the official PS3 forum has a thread 8 pages thick with people asking about it, and having to buy it off of the Hong Kong store because it won’t be released).

    2. Being as it’s already been completed in english on the Hong Kong store (sans the online instruction manual), what else would be needed to get it over to the NA store?

    3. Why is Sony not listening to us? over the past 5 or so updates, various people have been requesting time and time again for Dark Mist, yet all we get is either the cold shoulder or info you would give a toddler to tide them over.

But stating this doesn’t matter, as this will follow the trend and these questions won’t be answered.

    • As I\’m not directly involved with choosing which games are / aren\’t put up on the Store, I wouldn\’t feel comfortable giving a direct answer.
I\’ll talk to those that are, however, and bring to their attention the demand for this title and the well thought out and valid points you listed.
      Thanks for the comment!

  • @ Noel Silvia
    Hi, only 3 question.
1-SCEA, does not send knowledge to the companies (KONAMI, Capcom, Square Enix) the fans want play again their games?

2-why not SCEA, tells to Capcom that fans want a Resident Evil For PSP?

3-which is the time of conversion of the game (PSone classic) to PSP????

    • Hey, Darkus
1 / 2 – We do. It just never hurts to add a few extra voices of \”want\” from the vans.
3 – Good question. It depends on the title. Some titles take longer due to licensing issues, or if the developer is no longer around. Sometimes these titles are re-reviewed by the ESRB (as some eagle-eyed gamers have spotted) and listed long before all of the rest of the approvals have gone through. The more of these factors involved, the longer it can take. Sometimes, unfortunately, circumstances arise and a title may not meet all necessary licenses to be re-published.

Hope this helps to answer your question!

  • I to get tired of hearing all the constant complaining whenever a so called bad update comes up. It’s become pretty clear that some of these people don’t realize how hard it is to put thng’s up on the store. People need to understand that Microsoft has an advantage when it comes to updates for live because they’ve had years of hardware experience. Heck hardware is there bread and butter afterall. Having said all that though. I think Sony could atleast partially heal some of these wounds if they would just come out and honestly talk about why they seem to be so behind the curve when it comes to contant for alot of the PSN updates.

  • Wow, this was an incredibly weak store update this week. I thought last week’s update was on the disappointing side, but this week’s takes the cake.

B1ack_Mage (#10) and cduran2 (#66) made a lot of the points I was going to make…but since I’m here on page 4 now, I might as well reiterate them.

If there aren’t any new, original downloadable games to release during a “slow period” like this, then how about getting a few PS1 classics up there instead? I don’t understand why Japan and Europe can get so many PS1 games and North America gets so few. I understand there are licensing restrictions (particularly for third-party material), but Sony’s sitting on a stockpile of first-party hits from the past.

Sony should set a goal for themselves of introducing at least one downloadable game with each weekly update. Not demos, but full games. Microsoft and Nintendo somehow manage to do this each and every week. Why can’t Sony keep pace with them?

Also, I haven’t seen the PlayStation Cards in stores yet, despite being informed a month ago (4/15) on this blog that they were in the process of being rolled out to retailers.

Believe me, I’m a huge PlayStation fan, and I do thank Grace for keeping us “in the know” with store updates on the blog, but Sony really needs to work harder at getting compelling content on the store.

  • where is crash team racing???

  • What I find most funny is that Noel thinks the up date sucks just as much as we do. That’s enough for me.

  • Noel, I actually contacted Capcom months ago after Japans PSN got Biohazard 2 suggesting they try to get one or more of the Resident Evils on the US PSN as they are a sure money maker for the network even at $6 a download. Their response was that Sony needed to initiate an interest to them in order for a licensing agreement to be met which makes a lot more sense than 3rd party developers of 10+ year old games contacting SCEA to get their dated games on the network. I find it hard to believe that Sony has to wait for a developer to contact them about releasing their old games on the network and until then their hands are tied. Seriously, which sounds more plausible, Sony contacting Capcom and saying, “Hey, here’s this 10 year old game you developed and published for our system way back when we want to put on our network for $6-$10 a download. Can we work this out?” or Capcom calling Sony and saying, “Hey, I know we’re developing several titles for 3 different systems that’ll sell for $30-$60 a piece but would you be interested in helping us rerelease this 10 year old classic for $6-$10 on your network?”.

    • Awesome work, CC.
As I previously mentioned, I can\’t make games appear on the Store, but I\’ll follow up with those that work specifically with these things and see if things can\’t be worked out.
      Thanks for the follow up!

  • Cyber that was damn funny… Ha and larious to be exact. Anyways, truth to this matter is this Sony has a slew of games on the japanese store that we all want. The reason we don’t have them is because sony only got the distribution rights for Japan and not America… this is why the PSN is a segmented affair and not a universal bus like xbox live is. Sony has chosen to segregate their content and gamers and it’s not right.

  • Noel, can you kindly explain why releasing PS1 games on the PSN for the US store is next to impossible? The games most of us want were released in the US territory to begin with.

If you catch people’s drift here, and on the Sony forums, we kinda want to spend money on old games until the new ones drop. What are the odds of getting some PS2 games on the PSN for download also?

This is a serious question and a good response would go a long way towards calming some of us down.

    • I\’ll try to answer your question the best I can. Again, I\’m an Artist for PSN, and sadly my official Legal-ese is slightly limited to what I\’ve learned from Law & Order, but…
In North America, the law strongly supports the rights of the original creators of content, which I think is great. The \”snag\” can be that, with games, there are so many contributors to just a single title: voice actors, sound folks, programmers, and my fellow graphic artists. This can lead to many complications to make sure everyone is properly compensated for the work that they, and not necessarily just the company they work for, is compensated. That\’s not to say that they aren\’t compensated in other territories, it\’s just that the process involved is often more lengthy here.
I\’ll see if we can have a more detailed reply from someone that is more knowledgeable about this.

As for your other questions, it\’s not something that I\’m directly involved in, so I\’d rather not answer than misrepresent.

      Thanks for your question!

  • Also, I don’t want Noel to lose his job like some have implied. Not at all, I happen to like Noel and his comments and thinks it’s great that he can come in to a war zone like this and combat over 167 post on his own. Noel, keep up the good work. I know it’s not all your fault the updates blow the goat nips and that the PSN’s store front is about the only thing worth checking out every week. But you do have some pull there so why not push for some good ps1 games man? Tomba, Crash team racing, Legend of Dragoon are all sony owned games. Alundra is too. Why not?

    • You\’re missing \”Colony Wars\” trilogy in that list! ;-)
Heck, I\’d love to see CTR in the Store too, but that\’s just because I worked on that game…
You keep asking, I\’ll keep passing along the \”want\” list…

  • Gamesblow, I really hope that’s not the case. Someone in the know at sony needs to speak on that. It makes no sense why you would get distribution rights for Japan, and not America. Especailly if that PS1 title was really popular here in the U.S.

  • Man i came late to this trainwreck!

    /PASS

  • @norriswolfwood

so by /PASS you mean you are going to decide not to use PSN at all?

    no online gaming for you?

  • can you please put the new home trailer on the store since the only one there now is outdated

  • Grace,

It’s unfortunate that many people who post here think that you are personally responsible for what gets pushed out or that its simple to get licensing deals to get on PS1 game out every week so the update is otherwise not ‘crappy’. Do know there are those of us out here who get it and work for businesses just like yours. I want to thank you and Sony for the content you do offer and know you guys are putting all your efforts into getting to #1 spot again. Yes, I’d rather wait for good content than broken content and don’t expect to see a game or demo every week.

  • thatsmartguywiththefro

I am aware that there are plenty of problems surroundig availability of games and demos, though it still frustrates me especially when I see all the PSOne games Japan has and we don’t.

However, if all you have to give us are videos, make them good ones. Interviews, events, especially ones that can ONLY be found on our store. Plus, there are tons of MGS4 trailers we could be getting, including one just recently posted on this very Blog.

And…. as many have pointed out this is obviously a slow time for content. SO….. you guys should have EXTRA time to get those games we’ve been asking for. Or at least tell us they’re coming FOR SURE. Don’t give us crap that we need to talk to 3rd party devlopers, when we all know your supposed to be requesting the games based on the obvious consumer demand. (Dark Mist, MGS, Resident Evil, FFVII)

I love my PlayStation 3, but at least tell us your working on what we want, and stop with the lame excuses!

From what I’ve heard, v2.4 wil be coming soon with in Game XMB. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don’t dissapoint us with only partial in Game friend lists. That would be a serious let down, as what we really need is the ability to constantly listen to music whether or not we go from the browser to Folding@Home to the Setting list. On top of this it is ESSENTIAL for in Game XMB to work with the WHOLE XMB so we can access Photos and Videos especially if we want to send this as attachments. Or the Settings Menu, if we suddenly decide mid game that a different display, network, video, or audio setting would be better. What I’m trying to get at is, that it would be better for EVERYONE if you just go ahead and make it COMPLETELY in Game XMB. Seriously, you’ve had plenty of time to get this XMB stuff fixed up, and I REALLY want to be PLEASED when 2.4 comes out, and would hate it if I ended up complainnig about an udate that I’ve been looking forward for so long.

Thanks, I hope your reading this Noel (or anybody else from SONY). No hard feelings though, I’m glad your responding to people’s posts, and hope you respond to mine, so I don’t feel as if I’ve wasted my time rambling on for so long. :)

    • To clarify, from an official company standpoint, if and when the next firmware update is ready to be announced, it will be announced here. Just had to make sure to say that.

\”…at least tell us your working on what we want, and stop with the lame excuses!\”
Announcing things can be a Catch-22.
Announce something too early in to its development, and it can seem like it\’s taking too long to release.
Not announce anything because there\’s nothing ready to announce, and it can seem like fans are kept in the dark.
Things like this blog are intended to try to \”shine some light\” on these projects and we\’re always looking at improving this form of communication.

\”Rambles\” like yours (which yours was too well presented to be called that) are never ignored. We can\’t respond to every post, but that doesn\’t mean that every comment isn\’t read.
      Thanks again for your comment!

  • i truly think, with all my mind, that the playstation blog should add a new feature to the side, an thats a voting system for classic games on the side, have the list made out of “greatest hits” from their time.. and like just display 5-10 titles that sony could auquire and put on the american psn… every week sony take the top 3, get the correct license and get it into motion, and while thats going on, have another poll going so yall keep up and we dont going weeks/months without our poll votes really mattering. it would REALLY help the playstation.blog communicate with its users

  • what did i do to get block?

  • Noel, your sarcastic and pedantic responses say everything that needs to be said about you and the SCEA online stores team utter contempt for your costumer base, your attitude sucks, and in any company being run in a consumer oriented fashion, you would be getting asked to tender your resignation right now. Please do us all a favor, and just quit. You won’t be missed, and hopefully will be replaced with someone who has something of actual value to say in response to criticisms offered by paying customers.

Quit making excuses, or just quit. But the responses you’ve given thus far in this thread are just flat out insulting, and childish. You should be ashamed of yourself.

  • Noel any news on US Singstore updates and when we should receive new songs? I haven’t seen an answer anywhere about these updates.

    • I\’m not at work right now, but I\’ll ask tomorrow morning and try to have an update for you.
For those of you wondering about new SingStar music, they do not appear in the PlayStation Store and appear directly only in the SingStore from within the game.

  • I should note the bulk of that is in response to the first two pages. That was seriously screwed uo, and frankly, if you are involved in the art design of the store, and not the content, I’d appreciate it if you could talk to someone who is involved with the content so that we can get responses of substance to our growing concerns with the laughable lack of worthwhile content on the online store.

    • Again, I apologize if my candor came across as arrogance. That wasn\’t my intent, even though I can see how it could\’ve read that way.
      \”Attempt at playfulness\” on \”light\” publishes = FAIL. Got it. ;-)

As for the other part of your comment, I\’ll make sure to pass along your concerns to those that are involved more with the content and try to get a \”red response\” from them here for all of you if possible.

  • Well, Noel I appreciate your responses to my and our questions.
The licensing issues for 3rd party games are understandable, but I think the issue is that one cannot help but think that it is in fact the job of Sony to push and persuade these publishers to get these games ported for the good of the PSN and companies themselves. I for one will do my part by petitioning Square, Capcom and Konami, but realistically, Sony should really have done a lot more “campaigning ” to have big 3rd party titles in the works so that consumers might be enjoying them by now.

I would love to be playing some classic games on my psp right about now…

Best Idea I have seen regarding the ps1 issue.

Lets go real old school with Beyond the Beyond… I do believe that is a first party game. And try for Valk Profile, i want to play the orginial without have to dig deep in the pockets.

    • Don\’t know if you know, but Valkyrie Profile was re-made and released for the PSP last year.
If you like the original and have PSP, I highly recommend picking this up.

  • i still find it amusing ppl complaining….for god sake sony give us FREE psn service…its not like they charging $50 per year….so pls quit ur spoil kid attitude….

  • @184

It is indeed true that it is their job to be aggressive and pursue and secure third party support. But they seem to be applying to some sort of absolutely nonsensical one or the other approach, in that they feel they need to focus on “original and fresh” content, rather than be a “me too” version of XBLA, which IS understandable. But what they don’t get is that they can offer new and fresh, AND less original third party games.

Focusing too much on fresh and original has caused them to lose focus on something more important, quality. We want quality games, and freshness and originality don’t automatically equate to that. Go Sports, Pain, and other assorted PSN series may be original, and unique. But well, they suck. HARD. Nintendo and Microsoft on a weekly basis offer fresh and unique along with classic and dependable/arcade. They have no reason whatsoever not to be able to as well.

But they don’t get that message, because they have an army of fanboys flocking to the blog on a weekly basis, who are eating crap, and convincing themselves they like it. But even those guys are nowhere to be found this week, and that should throw up some red flags, and some more red responses.

That Xbox 360 is looking better and better to me every week.

  • @Noel

I won’t hold it against you then. Please keep in mind that things don’t always translate as we mean them to with plain text on the internet. This internet stuff is after all, serious business. I also feel obligated to say, for the billionth time, we want more PSone games. You have no idea how envious I am of our EU brethren right now, Rayman is a true classic.

  • @185

Seconded, Beyond the Beyond was hella old school JRPG, and first party. I’d snap that up in a heartbeat.

  • @noel
Any word on new PSN avatars? I’d like to see MGS 4 or GT 5 ones.

  • Well can we get the Singstar updates on this site…..I mean this is not the PSStore site its the PSBlog telling us whats new and cool, so will we see a list tomorrow or are we left to speculate until we get home from work?

And if we do not get updates for the songs can we try to make that happen? I mean you give us updates for alot of other games and it seems to me that there is a fair amount of people that would like some form of information pertaining to Singstar

  • Just wanted to make the comment that Noel ROCKS!!!

Thanks for all your fantastic artwork. Truly a talent.

  • @ Noel

Thanks for the quick response. Keep up the good work and keep us informed on the good and not so good updates we get each week.

  • @Noel

You seem nice enough to actually respond to us (which is a breath of fresh air). Any word on the PSN cards? They were promised for a spring release, and spring is over in a few weeks. I haven’t seen them anywhere.

I also agree with Mugen02, more PSN avatars would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    • PSN Cards are making their way to retail stores, and some have already been spotted in the wild. Your best bet is to check with your local store and ask them for when they\’re set to come in for a more specific date at that location.

  • We need Wipeout HD or Bionic Commando to come out now to restore faith in the PSN community – anybody second that motion….??

  • Noel or anybody else reading this –

Please let the people at SCEA who are in charge of such things know that some of us think it might be a better idea to give games like Dark Mist a chance in the U.S. instead of giving us yet another week with absolutely no “real” content.

PSN being a digital store, there’s no reason not to release a game that is the property of SCE* like Dark Mist, especially seeing as how it is already in English.

Also, yeah, the difference between PS1 titles in the Japanese store versus the North American store is getting pretty freakin’ ridiculous.

  • Bender Rodriguez

Great job Noel on recovering your responses. You came off a little bit defensive and snippy on the second page with your responses, but I’ve read the your other responses and they were informative and better.

I don’t mind the lack of PS1 games. I’ve known from day 1 that it was up to the third party devs on whether or not they wanted to release their old games. I do question Sony’s decisions not to release any of their first party PS1 games whenever they have nothing else to release. I know they haven’t exhausted their whole first party library.

To me I would rather have no update than a pointless one that nobody cares about. Of course some people would die without a thursday update. I’d still rather have a quality update that takes a bit longer over 2,3,or 4 pointless ones.

I also think that Sony should do some special stuff for their first party games that would debut in the store. I know it wouldn’t stay on the store for long, but still it would make the store seem more important. Stuff like behind the scenes stuff for Resistance 2, Littlebigplanet, or other first party or exclusive games.

  • @ Noel Silvia

I thank you greatly for at least responding to some of the comments left here (it helps) but I have one burning question…If you are just an artist for SCEA why the hell are you the only one answering posts???

Jimminy cricket, When I take my car to the mechanic I dont want the pizza delivery guy (no offense) to tell me whats wrong with it. I want an answer from the mechanic.

How about ask someone who IS responsible for these things or who may have some real answers to step up and answer a few? A little communication could go a long way here.

I think you will find that 90% of these complaints would go away if people were just given some honest answers. Something they could hang there hat on so to speak. Not that your answers arent honest but due to your job title you do not seem to be in a position to answer many of them with much authority.

    • I answer because, first and foremost, I\’m a gamer, and if I was sitting where you are, I\’d want to know that someone on the \”other side\” was listening and passing along my thoughts, ideas, frustrations, elations, and everything in between.
This blog opens up a great dialog and, even though I\’m just a \”pizza guy\”, I still talk to the \”mechanics\”.
I\’ll pass along the concerns and see if we can get some \”red replies\” from the \”mechanics\” when they\’re not too busy \”working in the garage\”.

As for new PSN Avatars, new ones were recently added, but I\’ll see what I can do about getting new ones within the next couple of months. Although how anyone can be tired of coloured-smiling-clay-swirls I don\’t understand? ;-)

  • I just have to say I can’t beleive you bothered to reply to any of these comments. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for people to understand why there’s not 12 games coming out each week.
    1. There simply isn’t that much content coming out at all
    2. Flooding the store with content saturates the spending on multiple items rather than allowing each title a chance to gain some revenue being the sole release. A problem encounter by the “other system” which is now dropping underperforming games.
    3. Sony is a company, those who have worked for a company know they tend to know what they are doing right and wrong. Evil corporations may not be as evil as you’d assume. Sony is not out to punish us by not delivering.
    4. Licenses created in 1990s for PSone games I’m sure didn’t outline future releases online as the theory probably didn’t exist. Fairly sure GameTap encounters this problem alot hence the limited releases there. Castlevania symphony of the night is an excellent example as it had already been prepaired for re-release in this PSP Castlevania game (forgetting the title I apologize)

Regardless of anything hardly anyone even seems to appreciate that people internally and externally related to sony sit on here for hours after a post answering all of our stupid questions about Demos, Home, and In-Game XMB. What other company service sit therse and reads 300 comments seconds after something is posted?

  • @GhostInTheVoid,

Noel answers the posts because he really cares about us gamers/playstation fans.

Another thing, is noone is ever satisfied, the complaints will never go away.
Imagine that Noel is still answering all these posts, even though 90% of them are just complaints.

I think a lot of you guys are just expecting too much. The PS Store is great, and there is sure to be weeks where there isnt a “ton” of content. Thats the gaming industry for you. Always a drought in the summer. Been that way for the last decade or so.

Kinda strange MGS4 is coming out in the summer.
