Well, I hate to beat a dead horse, but here goes.

I really dont understand. Someone from sony is reading this thread, so why dont you guys come and address some of our concerns, give a reasonable response.

Its beyond understanding why the PSN is so weak on content. Sony, you have one of the strongest back catalogs of games of any system, yet we have *&%@ available for purchase. Forget demos, WHY would you not capitalize on the HUGE PS1 catalog is absolutely mind boggling.

If you havent noticed, people WANT to BUY the stuff. I want to buy stuff, good stuff and you got it (hmm, sounds illegal) but what you dont wanna sell?

Where is FFVII, MGS, Vagrant Story, Bushido Blade, Einhander, Resident Evil, the list can go on and on. What is the problem? Why do the other regions have more classics than we do?

Are we barking up the wrong tree or something people, is Sony in charge of porting these kinds of games to the PSN or is it the games individual developers?

Besides SOTN, there are no real blockbuster 3rd party games available. Destruction Derby, and Crash Bandicoot just aint cuttin it anymore guys, sorry.

Its sad really, but Id really like a Sony person to come on here explain the mentality behind this strategy, it would really be appreciated by many, Im sure.

The titles that you listed are 3rd Party titles from SquareEnix, Konami, and Capcom. If you’d like to see these titles on the Store, let those publishers know; let them hear from the fans that want to play these titles again. They are the original publishers for this region; they can’t appear on the Store without their approval.

Wow what a pile of junk they’ve unloaded on us this week. I thought last week sucked it was heaven compared to this. They gave us a bunch of trailers again … only to games that mean jack spit to anyone. Hey, sony… why don’t you do something decent and give us some demos and ps1 games. You know we actually would buy them. Why not take advatage of that fact? You idiots!

You’d think at this stage of the game Sony would want to continue to impress but they seem like they don’t even care. I guess they actually thought GTA4 was good and that nobody cares about updates anymore. Here’s a clue, Sony… GTA4 sucked, but only half as much as your updates for the store do.

As a PSP owner this update is sickening. Each week without any new PS1 games is slowly pushing me towards custom firmware and when that happens, I’ll never buy another item from the store.

Oh well, Sony doesn’t want our money it seems.

ok…i’m going to just chalk it up to you guys working on all the things we’ve been asking for. i know not every update will be great.

but when the coolest thing in the update is a wallpaper? i’m saying…c’mon lol.

give us some motorstorm 2 or killzone footage or something. not every update has to be great and we shouldn’t expect that but people still do and will.

You have the content, upload it and let us buy it. Simple as that. You’re sitting on an archive of ps1 games and psp games that aren’t selling at retail no more. 1+1= PSN to me.

Like we can enjoy anything on the psn this week and if I was going to enjoy it I wouldn’t waste an hour downloading it on the ps3… I’d just go to my computer and get it for free and save myself the time.

The thing about this “enjoy” business is absurd and preposterous at best. I mean, how the hell do we sit down and enjoy 2 min video clips of unfinished games? I don’t know about you but I’m not looking forward to Dead Space at all and Sony just won’t stop putting new trailers uo for the damn thing. Sony, if you wanna tac up your network and store with shoddy material fine… but atleast cut down the number of shoddy content per game.

Sony, why don’t you just put up a banner in the store that reads

“We’re under construction cause all of our content sucks the donkey… we’ll be back when we have content you gamers care about”

Sounds good to me, guys. Cause to date, I don’t think I’ve “enjoyed” more than 5 things off this pile of dung they call “PSN” more over if they can’t give us decent store content for us to “BUY” let alone download for free… what makes you think “HOME” is going to be a hit?

It’s funny, because even though we’ve gotten an okay amount of game videos, we are still getting so much less than we should.

The “other” service gets bundles of game videos a day, something like you would see on GameTrailers each day. Yet, we don’t even have a trailer for games like The Incredible Hulk, or Alone in the Dark, meanwhile they’ve got every trailer for the games ever released.

I want more demos, more games, more PSone classics, more days per week for an update, and more customer support, because you guys really don’t get the message.

Sony’s so out of touch with its consumers since Ken left it’s not evne funny. When Ken ran the show things ran smooth as glass. Now, we’re lucky to have them run on sand paper.

I remember when we’d get 1 midway game a week and that was it on the psn… man I wish those days were back. Even they beat out this tripe garbage. I also love how they keep giving us filler to make it look like a store update. These videos and junk… who needs this crap? We can get it on the computer in seconds, not min and hours on the psn. Sony needs to stop cluttering up their network wiht so much junk and start giving us quality content. all there is to it.

If Sony wants to keep giving us vids on Thursday, fine… but I say on Tuesday they just give us demos of games. That’s the best way to do this… I haven’t even downloaded anything from the store since Echochrom and pixel junk. Last week was a joke and so was this week. Sony needs to stop with rainbow crap and get with the giving.

Seriously…I created an account on here today SPECIFICALLY to complain about this. This is inexcusable. Absolutely terrible. TWO WEEKS! TWO FREAKING WEEKS WITHOUT A SINGLE DEMO??!! Really Sony? You can’t give us a single game in two weeks? No demo? No original game? No PS1 game? Hell, not even any downloadable content? (except for Rock Band) WE DON’T WANT MORE ROCK BAND SONGS! No one in their right mind is going to pay every week for those songs. You guys better get on the effing ball and give us some content next week.
I hope that someone is reading this and sweating a pool on their seat. You better be worried for your jobs at this point. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I am so disappointed right now. Usually I go through all these comments and laugh at all the people b*tching and moaning…but now I see I was just more patient than others. NO MORE PATIENTS SONY. GET ON THE BALL AND GIVE US SOME CONTENT. I guess I’m going to go and create accounts for the other Playstation Stores and HOPE TO CHRIST that there’s something on one of them to keep me entertained.

We encourage people to comment back here on the blog, and offer constructive criticism. After two weeks of no new playable content (game or demo), everyone’s concerns and frustrations over new content are valid; no arguing there.

Certainly this is a slower season right now, but it can still be frustrating to look forward to something and not have it.
