wow, did you writ that all by yourself?

instead of a discussion this blog always devolves into people like Versa taht have such low self esteem they have to anonymously act rude and belittle people who have diofferent opinions than there’s.

It’s sad really, only 2 people so far have actually said anything constructive.

    Cmon, Blog readers!

You are making this blog look bad by being such disrepectful patrons!

Has anyone EVER heard of such a thing as a well tempered response to a debate?

flame away, kiddos. i’m done beating a dead hoirse. have fun paying for you blu-ray trailers.

oh, i’m sorry, EXCLUSIVE blu-ray trailers.

  • Wow, I don’t see a reason to pay for Qore. If you want my money, Sony, why not release PS1 games, considering the backlog you have rated by the ESRB and many more? How often must requests be made to release them regularly? And why do you ignore your customers completely? I remain completely disappointed with PSN, the PS3, and Sony itself. I’m so glad I have a 360 and Wii.

  • @ tl2 :
If you get the Qore subscirbtion.
It will autmaticly update each month and if im not mistaken be added to your downloads list.

it will replace the old episode tho if im not mistaken so if you want to keep the old one you beter not delete it.

incase im wrong this is the link with all the Qore info https://blog.playstation.com/2008/06/03/introducing-qore-taking-you-behind-the-curtain-with-playstation/

  • hey whats going on guys im a noob to this site so bare with me….o had my ps3 for about a year now….and alll my store updates alway come late around mid day (4:00pm)…its now about 8:00pm and my store has not updated…was the update pushed back….or do i have to do something to update it…thanks guy

  • CitizenInsane27

    Wow, people are really angry.

I’m not gonna sit and ‘fuel the flames’ or anything, but seriously you guys? Epic fail. I’m not talking about Sony’s half either. People are flipping their lids over Qore as if you HAVE to pay for it. As if we HAVE to pay $25 a year for demos and whatnot, which is SIMPLY NOT TRUE. It’s the option (just like every one’s favorite service LIVE) to pay for this video mag, which in turn, gets you special access to betas, and earlier releases of demos, just like the difference between Gold and Silver LIVE subscriptions. Cry about it, oh wait, that’s right, YOU WILL.

I really don’t have to say much beyond that. Frankly, I wouldn’t care at this point if Sony did start charging you all for some things, because it may thin the herd of loud obnoxious ungrateful voices in here. Go play a 360, PS2, or something and just SHUT UP.

  • Qore should have a packaged deal with PS magazine subscribers but with a special deal price.

  • 104 i’m glad you have a 360 and wii too. So go play them and stop complaining. It will get you no where obviously

  • xIvSlowDeath420

Everyone here is tripping ten ways from sunday if they believe Home no matter how good it is will be a big enough of a hit to charge people for.So absolutly delusional thats its outright funny actually. Its second life guys, only controlled.Second life and every “game” like it can hardly survive in they’re wild west anything goes enviroment. In a controlled enviroment populated by mostly 20 ish and up dudes,i just don’t see any reason to spend a signifacant amount of time there.

  • “Wow, I don’t see a reason to pay for Qore.”

    Then don’t pay for Qore.
    It’s essentially a cheap HD-Magazine.
Do you subscribe to every gaming magazine?

lol @ being glad you have a 360.

    Enjoy paying $50/year.

Now THERE’S a reason not to pay for anything.

  • How much longer we need to wait…….. time is going to slow im to excited

  • No Suikoden this time either, eh? Once again another failure of an update has come and gone.

  • @MUGEN
really, i’ve heard people complaining all the time about slow downloads, even my friends do. yet, i get all my downloads pretty fast? 1.5 gigs would take me about 20-30 mins. all 3 mgo downloads took me about 40 minutes total. dark mist and the update took me about 15 minutes, thats over a gig. maybe it’s just your service is crud? your modem/router sucks? you just have horrible luck?

  • @89 Zola

Why you just point again with the demos, themes, beta, videos and add ons? I already explain that to you… take an example this update. You got three demos, you have the same download content that you have to buy with or without qore, the video? uuuf, many of them now.

Now, qore, again is just a gaming show with behind the scenes, interview with developers and previews of games “first” than anyone else just in full HD. Now, why isn’t just like a magazine? because is part of the PSN? so what?

  • “People are flipping their lids over Qore as if you HAVE to pay for it. Cry about it, oh wait, that’s right, YOU WILL.”

    QFT.

  • I’m excited about Qore.

  • Weird… no update yet. I got confused by this page being up, lol.

  • It’s great and all that you updated the blog now how about when are you going to update the store?

  • @106 CitizenInsane27:

    spoken like a true nazi.

go burn some books while you’re at it.

BTW- NOONE has said the strategy for Qore will be like LIVE gold and silver with time delayed releases of demo’s later.

    (HENCE THE WORD “EXCLUSIVE”)

So, i’m gonna try this out- everyone seems to be doing it nowadays-

    YOU SHUT UP!

    lol!

    hehe, i feel young again!

I can do anything, I CAN BE A JERK ON THE INTERNET!

thanks, CitizenInsane, I owe you one.

  • “”””In the meantime, please take a look at what will be heading your way this week:”””

This week? please let that mean today like it should be.. this is very strange.. 8:00???

  • @Zola,

If Qore is getting exclusive demos …

Why aren’t there any in this update? All the demos are for every PSN member.

  • Man Jeff i dont like this man people who pay get demos first and stuff

  • Hey Jeff, can you guys make a post explaining the licensing issues involved with getting new PS1 games on the PSN here in the US so people will stop asking about it?

    @zola

With 3 free demos this week and plenty of other content, I’m not really seeing any justification for your posts. Right now your entire argument is based on nothing more than your personal speculations with no evidence to support your claims. If/when your suspicions are justified please feel free to decry Future US and Sony all you like, but until then please refrain from continuously posting your assumptions as facts. Thanks.

  • i’m wondering if people showed up late to work at sony today and by some means weren’t able to make a deadline. 3 hours late or so now

  • The comments on this blog entry make me sick. My god people, you can’t be happy with anything.

I’ve been a PS3 user for over a year, and every. single. damn. time. I see a PSN update I hear the following:

-Zomg Update sux sony, u r teh ugly.

-Where’s my PSN cards? Where’s my PSN cards?

-Wow, good update. But where’s me

-Wow! Good update. But because they did

-I am an expert because I own a PS3 so I will tell you this: Sony sucks because

I mean seriously guys, calm down. Some updates have “sucked” but it’s a weekly update. Sony doesn’t control the demos/add ons, they’re ready when they’re ready. The only thing you can complain about is the lack of PS1 Games, or other Sony-controlled items. But even those, if they dont have any, they don’t. Can’t you just be satisfied.

Just like one of the previous guys said; Remember when we could only get demos via mailed CD/DVDs in our paid subscriptions? The console world has been in the backwoods for “Game Demos and Trailers” up until the PS3/Box came out. This generation blows away all the previous ones combined when it comes to free content.

  • @115

I believe they’re more annoyed that there’s a very likely chance that once Qore is up, Demos, PS Classics, Videos and the hooplah will cease to exist at the regular PSN/PS Store (effectively forcing you to buy an episode of Qore if you want to buy a game that you want as opposed to the current standard), and in some (albeit paranoid) arguments, if you get a Demo/Game from Qore but do not renew your subscription, you’ll be unable to run the game/demo.

  • @zola
If you want a debate why don’t you post on the forums instead of yelling at the people who don’t agree with you.

  • this is a great update(now just put it on the pstore) keep it up

  • @ zola, it would appear that you yourself, in your sad trolling fashion, are also hiding who you are. it is the internet. also, i have read and, unlike yourself, understood what qore is about. if you truely feel this is the first step to pay-to-play psn, then sell your ps3 and get a 360. no, wait, that is a pay-to-play service now. what to do, what to do. oh well, not like you really are anybody to actually care about. don’t want qore, don’t get qore. feel like you’ve been had, maybe you have been. i’m not gonna lose any sleep over your not being able to comprehend whats going on, nor the FACT you haven’t actually bothered reading up on anything at all on this blog. i for one wasn’t calling out for your being banned, it would be funny though. not that you’d find it funny of course.

  • Still wondering why there are no Singstar updates…..and yes I know they dont tie in to the store update but you could at least put them somewhere on the blog!

  • what do all of you kids do when your mom says “clean your room”, or “take out the trash”

    do you yell-

    SHUT UP!

because you don’t want to hear it?

If your teacher says that homework is due, do you call her a troll and call her an idiot?

I’m just trying to get inside the heads of some of the people here.

    ISN’T THIS A GAMING COMMUNITY?

I’m just trying to say free is better, and is what’s needed for the ailing Playstation brand!

I can’t believe people argue with me that this a simply a harbringer of things to come!

i probably better let some of the blogreaders go look up the word :harbringer: in a dictionary.

    it’s ok, i’ll wait.

  • I also think #125-Rayvolution hit it right on.

  • oh god sony yes charge me for trailers oh man hghlhlugh totally hyped for qore ommph yeah right the- gargle hhhulagghulag yeah in my mouth thats right homf it’s so big oh sony you can do no wrong uguu~~~

  • Lets check the facts shall we

    – Qore is not a part of PSN, Qore is a product available on PSN
    – Qore isn’t changing the way PSN works. It’s not a
    – Demos are still and will continue to be free.
    – If Qore gets an exclusive demo or beta it is no different then a magazine getting an exclusive demo or Gamespot getting a exclusive beta. You are not paying for “demos” you are paying for Qore, what content comes with it is irrelevant to PSN.
    – No one is forcing you to pay anything.
    – You pay for Qore as you pay for any other product on PSN, obviously.

So yeah… haters, kindly shut up will ya.

  • @Zola

You seem to be ignoring what most people have been saying regarding this service. I’ll try my best to explain to you and hopefully, you’ll refrain from feeling so angry.

The service itself is like a online magazine, but a show if you will. What it contains differs from what Sony already gives us. You still get the same exact demos, same videos, same themes that you would get from Sony releases for FREE. That will not change. Qore gives you a show where they might have an exclusive first look or sneak peek at a highly anticipated game that either Sony or whatever company cannot release via the PSN. Think of it like watching a much MUCH better version of G4TV every month. You can pay for the one episode for a mere 3 bucks, or pay for a year subscription for 25. Your choice. But it’s not just exclusive demos or videos that they have. They also have BETAs. Yes, BETAs. If you do opt to get any episode that may be allowing you into a BETA, you’ll be getting a chance MANY people wish they could all the time to play a game that is coveted by people before them. Frankly, the 3 dollars an episode thing is less than what I would pay for a BETA, but I get it along with other goodies not found elsewhere. If you opt not to pay for Qore, fine. IT’s not Sony that’s forcing you to buy it. Hell, it’s done by a 3rd party publisher so it’s really not Sony’s money grubbing either. It’s them allowing this service onto the PSN cuz they think customers would LOVE the option to see exclusive videos and get a chance into some BETAs.

    Do you see now?

  • and BTW, I have a 360 Elite with a LIVE subscription (just to play online) , and a Wii (still free) and my launch PS3.

I make MORe tahn enough money to buy the measly $26 annual fee.

IT’S JUST THAT SONY IS USING THIS AS A TEST!

TO SEE HOW MANY DUMB PEOPLE WILL BUY IT!

so how dumb are you? show Sony by buying Qore!

  • i love how it always boils down to the jerk that doesn’t read and starts spewing trash resorts to the belief that everyone else that opposes their narrow-minded insight are “kids”. sad as it is, you are most likely a child yourself. at least you present yourself in that fashion when you stoop to that level. can’t take the negative, don’t spew the hate. it’s really that simple.

  • Can you please just tell us that this update will be up tonight?

  • hey I got this cool idea……you guys should start working on the “PlayStation STORE UPDATE” on Wednesdays…… so we (your loyal fanboys) can download them as soon as we come home from work/school :0)

  • Oh wow, Zola pays for LIVE, yet complains about a downloadable Magazine.

Come back to troll when it costs money to PLAY online.

    k

  • Can you guys hurry up and install the update on the store…please…I’m tired of waiting

  • I don’t really think zola is in the wrong here. She/He made some valid points and everyone started to flames his/her world up.

I think everyone needs to backoff the guy/gal.

This is a blog where we can come and express thoughts or concerns. Likewise you can disagree, as most of you have, but the name calling and the rudeness is not necessary.

    Chill out.

  • lol, zola clearly shown he’s nothing but a 12yr old Xbot now…

No need “explaining” things to him anymore, he’s well aware he’s wrong in every regard.

Just ban him and we’ll all be on our way.

  • By the way, Zola…

Qore is only for SCEA countries: Canada/USA.

Unless they’re going to be holding out on major demos from Europe,

You can always make a European account and download it off their store.

  • @ryuzx

I agree with you. Qore sounds good enough to pay for albeit a little pricey compared to other game mags imo, but I still need to see a strong PS1 library (the main attraction of the PSN for me) before I start subscribing to extra services like Qore. Really good update though SCEA.

  • Can’t take the negative?

people calling me an idiot, a jerk, a blabbering fool, etc. etc. is feedback?

hehee, no, I’m not going to stoop to your level.

And please explain me this- if the demos and stuff on Qore will also be available on PSN, HOW IS IT EXCLUSIVE?

maybe you should read up yourself, before you make accusations you can’t support.

  • “Unless they’re going to be holding out on major demos from Europe,”

I meant whatever betas/exclusives things they have.

I doubt these “exclusive demos” are gonna be big demos like Battlefield: Bad company or ANY third party publisher for that matter. Because 1) You can get it on LIVE and 2) anyone from the US store can just download it for free from the EU store if that were the case.

Maybe for PSN games? I dunno.

  • @ Zola . . I respect that fact that you have such a strong opinion about Qore. The bottom line is this. The demos will always be free. Qore only gives you advance access to these demos similar to what you experience when you pre-order a game. This does not mean that you will have to pay to play demos. They will continue to be free as you’ll see right now with the three we have today. . But let’s be real the subsribers of Qore need to have an added bonus for paying those $3 per month or $25.00 annual subsription. Think of it as what it really is a Magazine except this one is interactive. No matter what you’re still going to have access to this information just not as soon as the members that have Qore. . . It is your choice to purchase it or not. Sony can’t give everything away on the PSN. I have a feeling this will do great and we will only benefit from it.

But I do have to say there should be a scheduled time for Updates & Notification so that we can all save from popping in and out of the website checking if it’s ready. I’ve been waiting since 6pm. . but very pleased with this update.

  • xIvSlowDeath420

You know,on a side note.I think the i saw the host of Qore bashing the PS3 hard in PS3 vs 360 video i saw somewhere last year. And i’m pretty much positive that its her. My,how the mighty have fallen!

  • Great job with the update, I’m looking forward to qore

    Some questions,

1.when we buy qore, will we get to download the socom beta instantly? or will it just send us an invite?

2.When is the socom beta coming for those who don’t get qore?
