Since it seems a number of you do stop by on the weekends, we’d like to give you a bit more to read. Would you be interested in what other people are doing on the PSN; specifically, top 10 lists? For instance, here are the top 10 downloads this week from the PSN video download service:

Let me know – we can pull more stats like these if you’re interested in, say, the top SingStar downloads of the week.

The reading list is a bit short this time out, as we spent most of the week traveling/attending E3/Comic-Con, so we’ll definitely want your link suggestions in the comments area.

    surprised to see hitman on there… thought that movie bombed at the box office??? oh well. guess its worth the rental. always up for these kinda stats jeff.

    Sure, top downloads and stuff are always welcome.. :) Would be cool to have regular stats about how many new members you have each month on the PSN for example..

    That’s some cool stats and all but i’m still wondering when this service will come to Canada, i really want to be able to rent HD movies.

    Also is there movies that are 1080p?
    And will we be able to buy HD movies in the future?

    10k BC leading the way, movie was not really that good, Xam`d anime is very good. Nice job with the stats, will love to see them on weekly basis :)

    Awesome! It would be pretty awesome if you could tell us the following every 2 weeks.

    -Most played PS3 PSN online game
    -Top downloads for the PS game store

    I think it’s pretty cool to know what everyone else is playing.

    10,000 BC, Hitman, and Meet the spartans in the top 10? Wow.

    Also the DRM sucks. If I delete a T.V. show I payed for, wasted my bandwith and PS3 storage on I will never be able to download it again?

    Sony staff would have to correct me if I am wrong but from what I understand it says it can only be downloaded on one activated system meaning your main one and can’t be downloaded to other playstations like PSN games can. I can’t say for sure if that is correct as I never read the user agreement but if you can only download purchased material once that is horrible and I say let the video store portion crumble. I can understand not other systems as the movie industry would consider that casual piracy.

    Xam’d is a good anime, already rented both episodes along with punisher, I love that movie. Guess I’ll rent Hitman now and check it out. will we ever be able to purchase HD movies?

    I’m not talking about sharing the videos. I’m talking about if for some reason my PS3 fails, how am I going to get my videos back? They’re not in the “Downloads List” in the video store so Sony obviously doesn’t want us downloading the videos 2 times.

    Can’t believe they listed that lame Jane Wells article. Reading that article is like asking someone who has never seen a movie before what the best action flick ever is. Just because her kid happens to have a pension for supporting the losing side.

    Anyway some interesting articles Jeff.

    oh and GIVE US BACK BC!! have to throw that in for good measure.

    @jeff I heard a rumor that soon there will be a way that you could link your iPhone to your PSN account just wanted to know if this was true

    Of course we would like that. Especially something like the most played games on the PSN, but let’s say the top 20 and not only the top 10 like major nelson does for xbox live.

    I can say I work at TripleTags.com and after you guys gave my boss a link like that he has not shut up about it, like his ego wasn’t big enough already ;)

    Defintely put the top information up for lots of stuff. Top downloaded games, movies. Top played games online would also be sweet.

    Also, what ever happened to part 2 for the PJMs couples post?

    Heavy rain? It guess its getting a huge blow out at Leipzig.

    What part of SCE is working on HOME. From my impressions of Kaz and jack they dont expect HOME to hit this year. The longer it takes the less excited people are going to be about it. I wish Phil was still here. He was a true gamer and i salute his vision of GAME. 3.0.

    I think that if your going to show stats you should use LBP to do it. I mean once you see stats shown with LBP you can’t go back.

    With that said I think its nice to see posts on the weekend.

    p.s. you should consider showing things like percentage increases in sales with price drops of different games/movies.

    I need to know what is the MAX RPM’s for a hard drive needs to be for our PS3’s and what G/bps for speed should be for MAX.. I dont want to spent on a Harddrive ill never get the Full Preformance out of!

    i completly agree with u plus im in the same situation with my HDD, i have a 60 gig and have a few gigs left and i really want a new harddrive before thursdays store update so i cann purchase pain, and pixel junk monsters.Jeff do you think you can do a special blog post tomorrow on what brands are compatible etc?

    Yes! :) I want to know which are the most played games online! Im guessing its between COD4 and GTA4 and MGO but its actually interesting to find out what other people play.
