We’d like to provide a quick update on Life with PlayStation for PLAYSTATION 3. We know many of you are eager to try out the new service for yourself, but you’ll have to hold tight. Due to a few procedural matters, the new service will make its way to PlayStation fans in August.
Rest assured, Life with PlayStation will be a service that introduces a new way to interact with your PS3. By bringing information from around the world into your living room, Life with PlayStation will offer a variety of interactive content and channels on a visually stunning worldwide map interface.
We’re focused on continuously expanding the world of PS3 through new services and hope to do just that with the upcoming launch of Life with PlayStation.
Oh yeah, It’s already 17:30 on August 1st in Japan, and our updates happen on Thursdays, too. So I am justified in claiming a late press release.
I have to agree with ALL of the negative posters. I did not even have a PS3 until early this year, so Home has not been as long of a delay for me. I, however, do have a friend who used to talk about it all the time. He has since lost interest and now does not speak of it ever. It makes you seem desperate and gets all these people with amazing social lives to try to ridicule you.
Personally, I thought this service (Life With Playstation) sounded rather lame at E3, and I had forgotten all about it. I have many gripes about the system, but to be honest it is my favourite for actual gaming. Wii has to be second for nothing more than the fact that you can seriously improve yourself playing their boring fitness oriented games.
I never use my 360 anymore, but I think it would be great if PS3 could steal the Nintendo market on fitness. Get some of us off our fat asses to play games. I have lost over ten pounds playing WiiFit, and it is not even any fun.
I think I am getting a bit off subject so I will end here with two more thoughts,

First of all : i think that there will be not one single comment from anyone from Sony so it’s probably a waste of time even replying to this crap.
Second, can someone in America sue SONY for FALSE ADVERTISING, they keep promising products again and again…trying to impress everyone at E3 with something that obviously wasn’t finished just to try to break the fall of FinalFantasy goin to the XBOX…great move.
Third, when exactly in August will it be released, early/mid/late??? Be a little more specific…at E3 you guys were all smug about an ‘ end of the month’ release, and now were all quiet???
All i can say is i hope the guys who said that this would be ready by the end of July are taking a nice unpaid break somewhere…Sony can’t keep making promises then ‘extend’ those promises at the very last moment…if things are not looking good TELL US…instead of us looking forward to something that, on the day doesn’t arrive.

If I was Sony, I would never announce anything to you scrubs again cause you don’t deserve it. I mean, due to the leaking of the LWP videos, we know what it is. If it wasn’t for that, we would have no clue at all from what Trenton told us.
Besides that, you guys whine all the time, about everything. And you try to scare people with selling your PS3 and buying a 360. Scrubs, you do that. Remember that MS only have two updates a year and their console bricks too and they also delay updates or just scrap it all together. You whine about playing your stupid music when playing games, about the webbrowsers, about VOIP during gaming. You also cry about multiple-signins in PSN: WTF you want to use that for? You lead double lifes? Even MSN doesn’t give you multiple logins for Messenger, you know why this is? Have you got nothing better to do than whine about this stuff or even wait for it?
I mean, Sony never gives a date, you must know that by now. So, go find some important things in life, besides waiting for something that was never announced. Oh yeah, Trenton said it would come on the end of the month. Now it doesn’t and it may come next week: big deal. It has some problems and you think Sony should release it to you scrubs anyway? WTF do you think you 150 scrubs here are? I tell you 150 on 12 million.

Some people are saying that Sony should stop announcing future programming, yet they would most likely complain if they were not kept informed about these things.
Even still, if Sony has announced that an update is coming out in August, some of these people will ask for a specific date. If the date is not met, people will ask why did they announce it in the first place?
People have to remember that proposed deadlines and scheduled dates for updates are not written in stone. Things come up. Maybe, an update is planned to be released on a certain date, yet a problem is discovered that would cause a delay. Should we be informed of the delay, not told about it, or just have the update pushed to live without any fixes done?
If something doesn’t come out on the proposed date, it will come out on another date when it is ready. Everything that Sony has mentioned for PS3 updates is being worked on.

If Sony does not announce future things, and the public does not know it exist, it hurts nobody. But now, if the public knows something about it and Sony does not say anything than they should say something about it. Or Sony can do the Rockstar trick, in saying “We release it when its done” no date given or timeframe, just when its done. I’ll take that.
just don’t give dates. tell us its comming. then the day before it comes i want you to tell us. this is really annoying about how things get “delayed unsuspectingly”. things arn’t so simple to implement, i understand that, so please, either stick to, or don’t give a word.

If you read my post, you would have seen I’m NOT complaining about the delay and I’m calling all the whiners SCRUBS for having nog life and waiting all night for something like this.
MS doesn’t ear a dime on me cause I’ve been MS free for 2 years now (yes that means, no PC—> Apple, no [DELETED] console, no WMA / WMV stuff. I hate all the low life stuff from them). Thank you very much.

Screw Playstation and screw Sony. I’m sick of all of the delays. I cannot withstand all this news coming out of Sony’s hole instead of it’s mouth. Home=Delayed, Playstation Life=Delayed, Blah blah blah. Sony is striving to its potential but in the real world is doing crap and really you are doing more and more crap. I honestly think its time to change consoles because I don’t see any improvement in the long run, particularly now. I demand Sony to listen to consumers and I really want MANDATORY trophies for all games from here on in and MANDATORY In-game XMB custom music no matter where you are on the console (Exactly like the xbox 360). If I don’t see these features….. well all I have to say is Goodbye!
