Grace/Jeff:

Why cant you atleast answer questions about Life With Playstation? I mean we did buy the PS3, the least you could do is keep us informed. Jack said clearly that it would be released at the end of July…why so many broken promises? Can you atleast let us know whats going on with it?

Good update, but I don’t like how the SCIV downloadable works… if they’re charging you for content, they should tell you EXACTLY what’s in it.

DL’ed PJ Eden, though… as they say ’round McDonalds, I’m lovin’ it.

@ #35

what the h3ll are you talking about? i stopped reading your post at number 3 because two of the first 3 things you complained about we alread have.

you can leave the music player on ONE of the THREE AVAILABLE visualizations without it switching. the earth one is hot.

also…you can turn notifications of messages and online/offline off already.

do us all a favor before you post another book like this (if you really even OWN a PS3 cause if you did you should know these things) on this blog. LOOK AROUND YOUR SETTINGS AND FIGURE OUT WHAT’S THERE.

or…what i think is the real problem…go actually BUY a PS3 so you know what you’re talking about. thanks.

you can get a copy of this blogpost by asking your mom. she has a copy.

Hey Jeff/Jack/Grace ~

Can you atleast answer us? All we want is an answer. Why did Jack go on national television and lie to us?

+ FritoZ on July 31st, 2008 at 3:54 pm said:

@100 KazeEternal

it’s all Horse armor to me anymore…

(i agree with you)

nickel and diming, is what it is…

hopefully it will come back to bite developers when they realize this kind of charging for stuff that should be free is alienating and generally pi$$ing off gamers.

If the game JUST came out for $60 (MORE for collector’s editions) and the DLC is ALSO already out, THEN WHY DIDN’T YOU PUT THAT IN THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!

I thought Unlockables were great ways to reward gamers, if most publishers had their way, we have to pay for all of them.

yeesh.

it’s all about $$$, instead of building and nurturing a gaming community centered around your product that will become die-hard fans.

my 2 cents

another blogposter was nice enough to point out the notification setting in the system tab, in a genial and polite way.

you, on the other hand, are a true troll.

and if you actually knew ANYTHING you would know that when listening to music, the effects will switch to the next arrangement after a given time. yeesh.

For everyone who is complaining about Life with Playstation, do you people have anything else to do besides [DELETED] and moaning. You asked for In Game XMB, they delivered, you asked for more demos, we have 3, two of which are out the same week with the 360. You asked for movie service, it was delivered, and we have a great game in Eden coming out today. And yet you still complain about a feature that no one knew about until last month. Seriously, I have never seen a more spoiled nagging group of people than gamers. Be patient.

What is with everybody going on about netflix. The mail service is ok, but seriously the streaming movies are total garbage. Name one movie you can stream that is worth watching? The reason they can stream them is that the studios think they are worthless ie no one wants to pay to watch them or demand is so low that they are now giving the stuff away.

@122 thetruefiziks

you can change back and forth to the next effect, that’s it.

I’m talking about color control, zooming, rotation, etc. etc. like the PSone had, and the 360 has now.

it would just be cool, that’s all.

I’m having problems getting the full version of Eden going. I have the demo, bought and downloaded the full game, and it supposedly installed, but i don’t see it anywhere and there’s no option in the demo to unlock it or whatever. I also can’t edit the title of the demo version and pretend that it’s the full one.

Help, please.

@132 thetruefiziks

trust me, man. and go check it again-

you’ll notice with the right analog stick you can only tap it right once to change to the next effect. if you then tap left again, you will see it go back to the prevoius effect.

up and down and R3 don’t do anything.

(btw i have the 60gig launch PS3)

i hope they can cook up some new ones soon or allow us to tweak the settings ala winamp!

nuh uh dude you can drive the whole visualization (the one that isnt the ribbon or globe) by holding a direction on the right stick

maybe blinky AKA jack tretton mispoke when he declared that life with playstation will be out the end of this month. maybe, he really meant by the end of 2010,2011 timeframe LMAO

joking aside, i think its embarrsing that a big company such as sony announce something and just don’t deliver in time or just do something silly as to point out that valkyrie chronicles would come on psp. gaffes like that shouldnt just happen… in any case,i think that the other company is laughing at sony right now by their sheer incompetence in bringing something that (SONY)ANNOUNCED…i guess they don’t care and just take us for granted!

good thing that they now have they blu-ray thingy sorted out since i think was all that they wanted.

well, all i can seem to make it do (the one that isnt the ribbon or globe) is change to the next effect, of which there about 9 total..

when i press right on the analog stick, it simply initiates the transmogrification (i just invented that word) to the next effect.

it may seem like it’s being manipulated, because if you stop pushing right, it will stop, but if you quick tap it again, it will continue to the next effect, and then once it’s there, if you quick tap to the left, it will go back to the effect you were just viewing..

maybe we are just seeing the same thing, and are describing it differently?
