Great ideas! I was thinking along the same lines with presentations, ever since E3. I’m definitely going to find some way to do a school presentation with this!

Also, Sony, you could really use this for marketing, too. Advertising new games with specially themed levels for download, or that are aired on tv. And then you can have a little disclaimer that the ad was entirely made through the tools found on LBP! That would be totally awesome!!

One thing that I was wondering, though, is wether or not it is possible to add through DLC (if it’s not already there) a way to create a competitive level, where the sackboys race to the end getting past all sorts of obstacles, either on the same track or different ones. The idea first came to me thinking about a U.S. Election 08 level, but as far as I know if characters get too far ahead the laggers would just respawn closer up, thus defeating the point of any competition….Is this a realistic thing to add?

Also I think Ellen and Keats from Folklore would make great sackboy/girls as well as Rohn from Lair, and all the rest that everyone has already mentioned.

Regarding racing, you’ll be able to do that out of the box. There’s tons of competition elements in the game - collecting the most score bubbles, online rankings, actual starting gates & finish lines, etc. So you should still be able to make your U.S. Election level. Can’t wait to see it.

i was thinking today that it would be awesome if LittleBigPlanet included power-ups. i want to recreate a couple mario levels, but i need flower power and invincibility!

that kratos sackboy looks awesome, hopefully we can get a REAL kratos sackboy to go along with our digital counterparts.

Will there be downloadable content for this game after launch such as: additional levels, additional costumes, and/or additional tools, materials, or stickers? And if yes, will this downloadable content be for free or will it cost more money? Also, on another topic, will there be a sort-of tutorial programmed into this game about level editing, customizing characters, and/or controls? thankyou

I really want an actual sackgirl, hopefully just a sackgirl not a themed one. As for the two DLC ones I don’t care for either characeters, maybe there could be a ratchet or jak one I dunno. Just not my thing but this is still my most wanted game.

Hey Sony reps. I have an idea that you can use and I give you full permission and rights to use this idea. (Just so you guys don’t get sewed if u use it).
But you guys should have a feature in LBP that it checks ur saved data and lets say you have uncharted or ratchet and clank or heavenly sword, you get special costumes or custom made levels etc. based on the games that u have in ur PS3. That would be great incentive for both developers to create LBP levels or characters and will hopefully get consumers to buy either SONY first party games and other 3rd party games.

I would buy the new core 80gb system bundled with littlebigplanet in a heartbeat. Ah, but I don’t think Sony would do that. Oh well. IT seems it would be too late for a limited edition sku for lbp though, you would think they would have announced it already to build up excitement and preorders and there is no such sku listed in the inventory at gamestop.

I’m really hoping that they provide youtube support for this game. After seeing the presentation at E3, this game would make the perfect media tool. It doesn’t make sense to lug a ps3 around during a presentation, but if you could upload a premade level (done in a presentation format) on youtube, the possibilites are endless. Guaranteed A in class.

btw guys. You know you can make your own custom sackboy. Any object you build in the world can be shrunk and placed on your sackboy. With a little determination and creativity, you can have any sackboy game character you want.

Man, I’m totally going after the Kratos one, but why did the sackboy graffiti art have to be on a change purse? I know it says “pouch” up there, but let’s be clear, that’s a total change purse. Great art on it, would look fantastic on a messenger bag. You guys should look into that for LBP merchandise.

Can’t wait til October. Hurry up and announce which retailer I can get the Kratos sackboy from!

Ok since everyone one a different sack boy/girl plus their download counter part why not sell them as toys based on the most popular games,warhawk(sack planes + sack tank)GOW (kratos + medusa)HS (nariko + kai)MGS4 old snake + liquid ocelot)or (Rex + Ray). This way everyone is happy and no one get screwed out of the reservations .:)

This game has the power to glue Sony’s IPs together like nothing before it. If I were in Sony’s shoes I’d market this game with content packs/levels that tie into Sony’s larger stable of IPs day one. (the sort of fan service Nintendo capitalizes on with Smash Bros.)

I think Sony is smart enough to know this is what gamers want and if they are really smart they’ll advertise the hell out of this content day one (presuming it is available day one based on content already shown).

I have visions of box art for this game with major Sony mascot sacboys crowded around each other in a glorious game selling pose that no Sony fan can resist. Do this, and the game will sell like crazy.

Well, I definitely think the sackboy and sackgirl are the way to go. Personally I think the Nariko sackgirl is awesome. Hope you guys pick these to give out! Also, some of us (like me) already pre-ordered LBP MONTHS ago. Will any type of giveaway like this apply to us too? Or just those that pre-order once the deal is announced?

You know what would be cool? A range of sackgirls and boys(either plushy or DLC) which are like continet/region specific. Eg, a French sackboy in blue and white striped shirt with black moustache.. a kimono girl from Japan.. bowler hat policeman from london? lol

You just pre-sold me the game so fast my head spun. Never have I been so excited for a piece of burlap. I doubt it’d be a plausible pack-in, but I bet customizable sackboys would sell fantastically, kind of like build a bear. Log onto a website, select from a plethora of options, and create your very own little plush sackboy. I’d be sold. Again.
