New Downloadable Content
If you purchase Qore Episode 03, or an annual subscription, you are in for a real treat – with premier access to the Resistance 2 Public Beta. In addition, we’ve got an all-new PS3 Qore theme and new annual subscribers will also get Calling All Cars, the full game, for free!

In addition, we also wanted to answer a few of the questions you’ve had about Qore:

Q: Will I be able to re-watch episodes? How will back issues or previous months content be handled?
A: Yes. When you purchase an Episode of Qore, it becomes available in your Download List. You can then download it to your PS3’s HDD and view it as often as you like. In addition, should you decide to delete an Episode of Qore from your HDD, you can always go back to your Download List and download it again. This, however, may not apply to downloadable content that is associated with a particular Episode, as that content may have its own restrictions (i.e.: beta invitations and timed exclusives). As a side note – when you purchase multiple Episodes of Qore they all download to your HDD separately. So, it is possible to have as many Episodes of Qore on your HDD as space will allow – the latest Episode does not overwrite previous Episodes.

Q: Will Qore be compatible with PSP via remote play?
A: We are currently evaluating the PSP as a platform for Qore delivery.

Q: Does this mean that some older PSN titles will become available to download for Qore subscribers?
A: While we have no announcements to make at this time, we are evaluating other PSN titles as possible bonuses for new annual subscribers.

Q:Do we have to watch advertisements during the Episodes, or will we be able to skip them?
A: Currently, Qore’s advertising model is to allow our advertising partners 15 seconds of interstitial advertising (forced-run) in each individual advertisement before our users are given control and allowed to skip the advertising, should they so desire. Should you want more information on an advertised product, you can then go to the Sponsor’s page and watch a longer version/view additional content from that sponsor. In addition, the forced-run advertising is only active once per session – it will not reset until you exit Qore. This does not apply to advertisements that are delivered as banners or that frame editorial content.

  • I have to say I’m a bit disappointed with these beta promises from Qore..

I’m an annual subscriber. I got the first episode 2 MONTHS ago anticipating the SOCOM beta and it’s STILL not even up yet! Now you want to dangle the Resistance 2 beta in front of me? LMAO.

These promises are great… but maybe it’s time you guys started delivering on them.

  • I see that R2 beta is available for episode 3 of Qore. Is this beta available right away for download or is this the same as Socom? I’ll get a message that its not available for download.

  • It really is sad when being a member of Playstation Underground means squat and you have to pay for what they used to give us for free..

i mean this is just game promotional items, behind the screens stuff, marketing PR videos, and advertisements..

if you want people to be fired up about upcoming games, then you really should release it to as many as possible..

sorry, but count me out, and to bait people with the Beta is just wrong..

why not foster community? just imagine if Qore was an across the board perk free for every person who pays $400/$500/$600/$700 and up for their PS3..

it would tie the entire community together, not just the fanboys and the diehards like us who read this blog religiously, but if every kid, teenager, adult, senior citizen, and families watched it altogether every month, you would see ALOT more sales than just the price of what you are charging for Qore.

why does everything have to be about $$$?

it’s not our fault the PS3 launch was bungled..and costs have to be “recouped”

    i’m sorry but that’s just the way i feel…

it just seems like a missed opportunity!

btw, i DID get episode one because all Playstation Official Magazine subscribers got a free code for the first issue..it was neat, but ….really?

sorry to be so negative, but the truth hurts sometimes…

  • While the Resistance 2 footage from the previous Episode, it felt like it was extremely hurting for content. I’m afraid it’s looking similar this time around. Luckily, last time around the Naruto demo made it worth the price. Hopefully, future episodes will provide a bit more…

Still, I’m sure these particular games will strike the fancy of some potential customers.

    Thanks for the update.

  • when is the socom beta from episode 1??

  • Awesome episode coming. I’m looking forward to the NBA09 footage and L2 is addicting.

  • I’d just like to comment that anybody upset or feel that it’s unfair to pay for Qore should also realize that at least our online gaming with the PlayStation 3 is free. Sony doesn’t charge us to go online and if they did, it might cost us more then it would for Qore.

  • I’ve read that access to the beta will be provided to those who pre-order R2. Will both qore subscribers and thos who pre-order be able to access the beta at the same time?

  • When starting a beta of Socom launched in Qore 1?

  • go to the socom website and findout through the gamestop website

  • ok before we get a qore beta for fall of man have we forgetton that there is still a beta missing!!!!!what happen to socom beta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????

  • If you offer additional downloads to new annual subscribers in the future, will “early-adopter” annual subscribers like myself be rewarded these downloads also?

  • @58Ragnarok9

that’s a good point, and i do realize that.

it’s just that Qore is only advertisements, behind the scenes stuff and promotional marketing vids…and they even have unskippable ads..

    I understand it’s “like a magazine”..

but i already subscribed to Playstation the Official Magazine!!!

oh well, i hope Sony makes enough money from Qore subscribers to be able to put back in Backwards Compatibility on all PS3 models…(they axed it because it cost too much)

  • I will definitely be getting this episode of Qore–Resistance 2 beta, here I come!

  • @ THATPSPGUY

Go to moneymart. You can get a pre paid credit card from mastercard for the price of the card ($25, $50 or a $100) plus a small fee. Like the $25 dollar one has a $4 charge, thats it. You buy them on the gift card rack, not behind the counter. This is what i have used.

  • I like this new “pre-emptive” Qore post. I paid for a annual subscription and it’s something to look forward to. Qore is overall very well done, and if I had to choose between a magazine subscription and Qore, I’d pick Qore. Seriously I get all my gaming news online, as it happens. OPM, EGM, or any of those other magazines can’t really keep up with blogging sites. That’s why the promo material and behind the scenes keeps me interested.

  • How do you guys justify the forced advertisements when we are paying for the episodes?

I enjoy Qore, and I am an annual subscriber, but this makes absolutely no sense. It is one thing to have ads on the sides of the UI, but to have 15 seconds of forced advertisement is horrible and really hinders the enjoyment of Qore. Bad move, guys- please fix this.

  • Ballsy move to lure new subscribers in with a second beta offer, when the first beta offer hasn’t even been delivered.

    Ballsy indeed.

  • @68

I check my email or something. My PC is right next to my PS3. I really don’t care about the advertisements; I’d never buy anything they’ve shown to date, so their advertising doesn’t really work on me. It pays Sony’s bills for PSN among other things, so I don’t mind too much.

  • I just wrote an article about my opinion of this month’s episode of Qore. It’s called “Reviewing the Future: Qore Episode 03” and you can read it here: http://whatisdelicious.blogspot.com/

Here’s the main gist of it though:
    -DC Universe will underwhelm.
-NBA 09 is, indeed, still basketball.
    -Lego Batman could be okay.
    -Baja is a Motorstorm ripoff.

And then I have a few choice words about the R2 beta and L2 mini-game.

  • @70 tuaamin13

where did you hear that Qore pays for PSN?

Is that true, Jeff or Susan?

    just wondering…

  • Sounds great..I will be sure to pick up this issue…Is there anything in any future updates that will allow us to make folders under the Game heading on the XMB, so that we can grp all Qore issues together, and group downloads by Genre etc….

  • Cool, I can’t wait!

  • I hope when we in Europe get the Resistance 2 demo, that we don’t have to pay for something to give Insomniac feedback on their still-in- development-game.

  • Sorry, I mean BETA. =)

  • Wait i thought this was the 2nd episode and socom confrontation was the 1st

  • Wow, the content is pretty damn terrible in this episode. At least there’s the beta.

  • i have to agree with the weird wait times on these betas…. here is my problem.

if the beta releases a month or a few weeks before the games official release. there really isnt any time to fix any issues…. which is what a beta is for.. isnt it?

a few weeks before release is nothing more than a demo.

so are we getting demos before everyone else or exclusive to qore members?

or betas that we get to give input and test for balance and server issues?

if its socom is slated for october 14th and the beta comes out 2 weeks before. i just cant see slantsix fixing any big issues in time. same with resistance 2.

if its just a demo i’m cool with that but please just say that

  • sorry one last question.

will there ever be blu ray remote support for qore eventually?

  • Once i heard r:fom 2 beta i was sold.

  • I stopped buying this junk. I couldn’t believe I had to pay for the advertising, and still couldn’t skip the ads. What a nutty way to do things, when I pay for a real magazine I can at least turn the page WHEN I WANT TO. I hope Qore dies soon and is reborn as something actually useful.

  • Is there any chance I could pick another game instead of calling all Cars. I own it already and was thinking about buy Qore for a year but I don’t want another CAC game.

If it can’t be a new game any chance that my PSN account could get my money back for CAC. Even if I have to keep the money on PSN that would be fine I buy many games off of PSN and I could use the credit for that.

  • Episode looks decent, Resistance 2 beta sounds great. However, on another note, I have to agree with all these people clamoring for PSN cards. Sony needs to get them out, and they need to do so soon. Military Bases and Meijer are all well and good, but that’s a small fraction of the total population of ps3 owners who want cards so they can purchase some of the great content you have up there. It’s totally useless investing in great downloadable titles like pixel junk eden, if thousands of people cant play them. I’m no expert on your downloadable business model, but I’m quite sure that getting psn cards to the mass market would significantly increase sales on psn. I suppose /rant

  • YES I LOVE AMERICA, Qore, Movies ant tv shows,,,,,,, yes!!! i get BEAT TOMARROW FOOLS

  • Why can’t they use the advertisements to pay for the content, and then Qore could be free to us?

  • @ Stoffinator : I will try that but Sony could be making that $4 fee plus the rest of the money on the card. I will get one this weekend. thanks for the info. Finally someone who doesn’t reply with ” I have no clue.” or “I have no idea.”

If you have ever said those to a person. Quit the job you are in now and make a change in your life because that’s the worst thing you can say. Because in reality, you don’t.

Quore to me seems like a great idea. From reading what others say about the ad’s, it would be nice to set them up as a kind of blipvert thing ala MGS series. you know press a button to view a sponsor product ad but a great ad. Nothing BORING. Some ads need to be NSFW!

With that said. I sure hope that someone out there who cares will take it upon themselves to go above and beyond duty and figure out the ongoing mystery that is the whereabouts of the illusive PSN Cards. Whoever that is will surely get not only adoration from people like me out there but a PROMOTION for saving the PSN.

Side not: with a promotion comes more money. Enough incentive.

    LONG LIVE QUORE!!!

  • Nice way to let us know…y’know how much people I told if you buy just EPISODE 3 of QORE …just the 3rd episode…you’ll get into R2 Beta?! OMG this is [DELETED]. That’s 2 Qore episodes that I cant honestly care about.

  • Hey i live in the middle east will be i able to get the episode?, thanks for reading :).

  • Although the first episode was cool. I’m sorry i got a little angry but cmon man. Are you telling me I gotta pay $20+ for a subscription to Qore – get a free game that I already own just to get into the Resistance 2 beta…i couldnt care about any games you guys are showcasing in episode 3, other than the R2 beta. Now i dont even want this episode since I want to buy it as its own. Im sorry but $20 is way to much for something that I don’t even know every episode will have something I like. But thats just me.

  • thats definetly a cheap try….Make people subscribe to recieve the only good thing you guys are offering…so its like give us a lot of money or you will get absolutely nothing worthwhile.

well Good because I never purchased a single episode and I definetly wont start now, and especially not a subscription….you guys have got to be insane to thing thats worth the money.

no thank you, almost every episode has nothing that interests me, then one comes along that has something somewhat appealing and you expect me to jump onboard and commit to a years worth of them?? ahahhaha lol

  • Great post…was wondering when this month’s edition would be up and it sure sounds great !

    Thanks for the news.

  • “*You must purchase a subscription to Qore–not just episode 3–to gain premier access to the Resistance 2 public beta.
*As we’ve stated in the past, there will be MULTIPLE ways of getting into the Resistance 2 public beta. The subscription to Qore is just ONE way. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for more details.”

Thanks for this post. Now I know 100% that I won’t be buying Qore this month. I’ll just watch the videos on youtube without the crappy ads.

  • Is there any way for Qore to allow to have access for betas that are already ready to try out the minute we download the episode? Otherwise it feels somewhat like a wasted bonus.

Still a cool bonus, it’s just all that hype is lost on me after waiting months for the SOCOM beta from Qore.

Though it doesn’t really matter with this, since you know…it’s Resistance and all. Probably one of the best new titles on the PS3 since its birth.

  • okay when you guys are going to release the psn cards to the larger and not so larger retailers? there are other retailers out there that might want to carry them…dunno, maybe something like toy r us or gamestop?it has raken so long to release those thats is not even funny anymore!

for the guys that would tell me to grab a pre-paid card, well i did just that like a while ago and guess what sony reject it!.besides, u gotta pay a fee everytime that u are going to recharge it,not cool at all.

as for qore i think that sony is just scamming ppl that buy it left and right.because quite frankly, something like that should be free as for the betas!
also,if qore has commercials doesnt them help pay for the cost of the magazine?

  • i think i’ll pass knowing that you need the subscription to get the R2 beta.. but that Audrey Cleo is too hot to resist

  • here is a question that none of you is going to answer, How come we aren’t able to download the socom beta? is almost 3 months later, but we all know that nobody is going to answer this one because it doesn’t help them to sell qore and we know it.

  • ”’While there is an R2 beta planned for Europe, you won’t be able to get into it through North America’s Qore.´”’

Problem is, more often than not, by North America they specifically mean the united states only.

I would like to know if this means there will be some type of IP block so that you cant get into the beta if you dont live in the u.s, even if you have an american account.

  • i really wish i’d known about the awful advertising garbage before i got an annual subscription.

here’s a question. do we have to keep each episode on our PS3 in order to gain access to the demos/betas when they arrive, or will we automatically be able to download them?

really, anything i can see in qore i can see anywhere else for free without the ads. so yeah, how about those demos then..?

  • Have we got a date on the socom beta as im a subscriber and was wondering as the games released October 14th?
