This is very good news, i was so disapointed i wasnt picked up for the first closed beta, now this is a second chance opening up for us. And if i am still not in, i just hope HOME will be released soon :), I am really looking into that kind of social community and wonder if it will works great.

why do any of you think that playstation would need more of your information?

if you have a PSN account and downloaded the theme, then wait like the rest of us.

spamming your ID’s and email’s is sad and a good reason they never reply to us or take most of our comments seriously. Not to mention wastes lots of time and money by paying people to read your pointless comment.

i never really had much luck in life, got beat up, my phone got stolen, got cut from my school’s basketball team, the only thing that made me happy was playing basketball and when i got my ps3, those are the 2 important things in my life

OT: I showed my friend (he has a 360) home this week and he wants to trade in for a PS3 now. he didn’t get it at first but after i explained the point and let him wander around inside home he totally loved it! you have got yourself a future customer. if thats not networking i don’t know what is.

Though I’m not part of your beta testing, I’d point out that Home space customization is key to the success of this venture.

I don’t just want a Sims knock-off. I wanna customize things in my Home like gravity - I want to be able to build it from the ground up. I’d pay extra for that privilege, too! What if I want an Escher-esque type space, with stairs on the ceiling, etc? I should be able to go truly hog-wild; able to build anything from a space-station to a carnival fun-house…not just these bland, ultra-modern cookie-cutter spaces that let me choose my own furniture (puh-leeze!).

It is this level of customization that would allow the individual to create a space that truly reflects their personality - if you go the Sims route, giving people pre-fab apartments; you’re in for an overwhelmingly apathetic response…a tsunami of ‘meh’, if you will, and it won’t matter how pretty the graphics are.

If you’re gonna do it, do it right - no half-measures! Just my 2 cents. ^_^

it says on the offical playstation eu website that the closed beta test is gathering feedback from the testers and that playstation home will be availible to all regestered playstation network users in late 2008 but now looks more likely it will be early 2009

this is the problem how can people in europe apply when there is no home theme on the europe (belgium) store.
I downloaded it from a mate who has a US account but he never uses his account.

Can’t wait for this lol… I have been a beta tester ariea games for almost 14 months but I have never really considered the pc world to be my home because I have lived in the world of sony since the very first Ps1 and im glad to have an oppertunity to test out some of sonys products for a change and not a computer product lol but don’t get me wrong I do enjoy testing there games but the download time and the reports they request is a pain but like I said im more in tune with the world of sony lol so I truly do hope I get picked to test this exciting new product

Man I hope Xmas comes early, this wait is killing me. One thing I’m not too happy about though is just read a thread that home will be region based, so I’m not going to be able to be an international man of mystery and mingle with people in england and such. I think they should have a server dedicated to those who would like to mingle int’l. Have like a virtual airport and your avatar gets taken to a neutral server w/other like minded socialites. (kind of thought that was the story behind home)

Reminds me what I felt like back as a kid on the 23rd of Christmas.
