Why is meet the spartans always so high up? That is quite possibly one of the most horrible movies I have ever seen!

Nice new update though.

Got Xam’d last night. I have been enjoying the series thus far.

On a completely unrelated note, what’s up with Europe and Japan getting Battle Fantasia on PS3, but not America?

That seems very odd, and is upsetting to fighting game fans, such as myself.

I also wonder what’s up with meet the spartans, spoof comedies haven’t been funny for many years.

Stop being silent Sony and give us an idea at least when Canada gets this. :-p

17

+ BlueViper on August 15th, 2008 at 1:37 pm said:

seems pretty sweet, you just need to get South Park and the service to Europe and youre there!
Also, heard about a south park-game coming to some x-bush live or what its named. You really need to get that! even if those games tend to be bad I would definitely get it!

On another note, when you make games like Ratchet & Clank in the future, make sure you can choose language in the menu. Even if it was pretty good voice acting by the Swedish cast, I’d like to play the original too!

Why cant i rent, buy, and see all movies in hd and sd. Why are there options limited for some movies? This really limits my purchases. Nice update though and good updates on the movie service.

Wow, great job Sony. I dont own an xbox, but I would have to say that it seems Sony’s Video stores growing faster in terms of there selection compared to Microsoft.

Could be wrong, but the amount of services that are adding each week is crazy good :)

So when does Canada get this? I want some of these movies.

That’s all good and all. Thanks.

I’m still going to ask just like I do every week, will you guys EVER offer some kind of subscription deal? This is important.

Also, I would like to request Comedy Central and Showtime as networks. You need to provide more Adult Swim content also.

I noticed a New Line movie in the store. Will we be seeing an entire line up of New Line movies?

Oh, and all movies should have a rental option.

Thank You. :)

How come you have New Line movies (Semi Pro) and Touchstone movies (Reign of Fire) in New Arrivals or featured, but I can’t find them when I try to search by movie studio? I also try to go to the parent company (Warner and Disney) and they’re not there.

I rented drillbit taylor… yesterday was a very boring night specially when I have all the uncharted trophies now lol…

Just two things that I really want it in the videos.
1. Scene search like the psp come onnnn… it’s really needed.

2. Captions pleaseeeee… be different from the competition.

PS: Paranormal State it’s really good? I like that kinds of stories but the video store doesn’t give me a preview and it’s a shame… everything needs a video preview.

XBOX360 just signed Warner Brothers and they have the neflix deal..

i really think it’s time for Sony to give up on it’s pricing and rental period strategy, and realize that they need to either

1) allow us to view rental movies as many times as we want for a week for the price

or

2)set up a monthly subscription pricing plan (but don’t charge more per month than Netflix!!!!!) so we can view as many movies as we want within the subscription parameters, and watch em as many times as we want.

i have yet to rent a movie from the PS3 service because i can either go rent them at blockbuster down the street- i pay less, i can keep em longer, and i can watch em as many times as i want until i have to return it.-or just stream ‘em on my 360 with netflix!

seriously, i’m just trying to help you guys out, the PS3 rental ploicyis really taking a beating on the gaming blogs and forums out there..

and i’m getting tired of defending Sony’s video store on the blogs and forums and gaming sites since i don’t believe in the pricing and rental strategy myself…but i really want it to be the best!

thanks for listening!

@Everyone who wants South Park

Comedy Central is pretty heavily involved right now with a certain rival service (Xbox Live) and I think they have an exclusivity deal for some time. So I can’t see any of Comedy Central’s content coming to PSN any time soon. But if it did, It’d be great because I’d like South Park, The Colbert Report, Daily Show, oh and that movie… Team America World Police. Pretty sure CC owns that.

+ CowboyDan on August 15th, 2008 at 3:35 pm said:

@36

Good points, but you can’t use Netflix on the 360 yet (that feature is scheduled for “late fall”).

I am hoping that the following will happen:

1. Google will either buy Hulu.com or start their own competing service.

2. The Sony / Google love that has been going on gives PS3 and PSP users direct access through a client that is installed directly on the machine (allowing to view full screen, etc…).

It is totally possible that this will happen by fall. : – )

44

+ The_Linux_Crew on August 15th, 2008 at 3:41 pm said:

I agree with FritoZ. PSN needs to be competitive with other services. Unlimited HD downloads for a monthly fee would be a great start and make PSN more competitive with XBL. You may even find that some people will buy the PS3 just so they can download movies whenever they want. Why would I download an HD movie for $6 when I can rent unlimited BR movies from Blockbuster for the price of three movies from PSN?

UNFORTUNATELY THE DEAL BETWEEN WARNER BROS AND THE OTHER SYSTEM ARE KIND OF A DRAG…GUESS WE PROBABLY WON’T BE SEEING THE DARK KNIGHT ON THE VIDEO STORE!!…ALTHO WE WILL HAVE BLU-RAY! WOOO HOOO

Ok some sort of subsciption is needed.
And as for the renal time, why not have it for days like most other places and also have it so you can view them any time durinng those seven day even after the 24hours activation. i just say take that off. Possily have like some sort of amount you can check out b4 you can rent another one along with a monthly fee.
i dont know but im sure you guys will work something out
