We NEED more PS1 RPGs, we won’t stop asking it until you deliver it, we want those games!!!

Also please expand the PS Video Store to other American countries, you know, like those little ones on the center and south of the continent ;)

On a site note, the warhawk expansion is really cool, thanx for that

I usually never complain, but you guys really need to get your stuff together on the credit card billing front.I can’t use my credit card that I use on Live and on the Wii,so I go out and buy a 50 visa gift card(which I have been using in the past to buy at least 10 psn games and add ons) and now it still doesnt work.
Your billing system is pretty bad if it just doesn’t work and that’s unacceptable in this day and age.
I think the other blogs like Kotaku and others need to do a story about this.We can’t get PSN cards and we can’t get a working credit card billing system going.

Like I said,I’m a loyal customer and I have spent plenty of money on games from eden, novastrike,HVB,Pain,SSHD,and other downloads and it just doesn’t work like it should. This is something that needs attention. Thanks

I hope the guys at Sony can appease the guys at Namco-Bandai. After nearly a month, no patch has been released for Soul Calibur IV to enable rumble. Isn’t Sony Computer Entertainment the group that makes the basic set of features that all games on their platform must have? Is rumble one of those features? If not it should be. Here comes the release of a demo on the psn, but nobody at Sony thought it would be a good idea to make them patch rumble into the game to make it comparable to the 360 version which has rumble. Namco-Bandai clearly needs Sony’s assistance. Several games on the PS3, released before SCIV have rumble. Please help the incompetent or spiteful developers at Namco-Bandai put rumble into SCIV. A feature that I may add was in SCIII & SCII for the ps2. Or is it that the ps2 is more powerful than the ps3?

@103
Something as straightforward and simple as Life with Playstation is obviously too hard for the ps3 development team to do, even with the ps3′s “mighty” cell processor. Just look how long it took them to put a clock on the ps3 xmb.

Just get used to Sony keeping their customers in the dark, hoping they won’t switch to a platform whose improvements are better scheduled.

+ sunnycat on August 28th, 2008 at 4:39 pm said:

Oh, yeah, and we also need PSN cards here in Canada. Sony, why didn’t you just release the cards at the Sony Store instead of these little companies that no one has heard of.

I think psn cards are in Meijer.

It’s very difficult for Sony to ship plastic cards with numbers on them. Much easier for them to strip away features from the ps3 such as backwards compatibility and 2 usb ports.

lol, sorry to feed ‘em, Jeff.

seriously though, FeaturePreacher, we have gotten TONS of great enhancements via firmware updates for our PS3′s, how can you complain about free features that make the PS3 better? I for one look forward to every firmware update, just to see what my PS3 can do next..

but i hear you about the loss of Backwards Compatibility…

Sony starting to look alike Square-Enix with FFXI updates or any of there games.

Delaystation sounds about right like someone else mentioned.

You guys can’t release something on the date you guys gave out, then don’t even bring the date up…

From looking at this blog last 3-4 month lot’s of stuff still needs answers.

1. PS2 compatibility…
Nintendo Wii has no problem, why can’t you guys do it? They do have working emulators that plays PS2 games on the PC right? (never tried so not 100% sure)

2. PS1 games for PS3/PSP
Again Nintendo Wii seems to have weekly update on this with new downloads, even if its 1-3 games its still there and over time like now they have lots of selections…
I read its licensing issues, again… I don’t see Nintendo Wii having this issue, whats going on here? your sales/consultant team not doing there jobs to talk to other game manufacturers?

Also I said this in the past, JAPAN PS STORE has a lot less problems on PS1 games, they been busting out games, they have those games for US also… so what’s the licensing issue here? Japan SCEJ has contract with those companies but SCEE doesn’t? Seems a bit weird here.

3. Life with Playstation
This blog here said that there were delays and it will be up on August, 3 days left, and from my guess its delayed here again, correct? If this is not true then why not reply to some of the blog readers here so they don’t have to keep on bringing the issue up? if its delayed, it’s delayed, we can’t complain since it’s hard to program these things and try and make it bug free, but again if this is a case it should be brought up, yes you may get some complaints from the users, but it would be a lot less blow then what it may be in near future.

4. HOME beta test selection
OK Japan had the download this theme and you will be entered to home beta test, just like the US but they had there results ready in a week… whats taking US longer?

———————————-
Pretty sure there are more issues but I can’t think of any at the moment.

If you take care of #1 & 2 pretty sure it will boost sales, and also with word of mouth from other players buying those games/ seeing whats going on, more people will buy the Playstation 3 system.

Sorry for the long post… I usually just read, but this PS Store update kind of pissed me off.

122

+ libregkd_117 on August 28th, 2008 at 5:47 pm said:

@122 There are no emulators that play PS2 game perfectly right now. And adding BC and improving PS1 game selection isn’t going to boost sales. I don’t know what world you are living in, but games that are a generation or 2 old usually aren’t the selling point of a new system. I mean its nice to have more PS1 download games…but if you want them so badly shouldn’t you just get the disc version anyway? I see MGS, FFs, Sypros in my local gamestop everyday, and even if you can’t find it there, there is always eBay. The only games that should be asked for are games liek Valkyrie Profile sicne that game is rare.

Home is coming out in Fall. If you guys can handle that then too bad.

Anyway, fun update, Warhawk and The Last Guy are great.

@Fritoz comment 120

I would look forward to firmware updates as well, especially if they could tell us when they’ll happen and what they’re working on next.

U know something I would really like. The ability to edit the album data of multiple pieces of data simultaneously. It would go something like this:
U go to let’s say a photo or photo folder, hit the triangle button,

select the “edit multiple” option, that would bring up the list of all the photos with check boxes next to them,

U select the pieces of data whose album info U wish to edit, hit an “ok” button,

then U’re prompted to enter the album name for the selected pieces of data, and once that’s done U’ve just edited the album data for multiple pieces of data.

Perhaps this procedure is easy to understand for readers of the blog comments, but whatever is easy for them is nearly impossible for those who make the firmware.

It’s easier to organize multiple pieces of data on the PSP than on the PS3. Once again showing the strange phenomenon of the PSP, with its 300 MHz processor, having greater functionality than a PS3 with its weak 3.2 GHz Cell.
