Hey Sony people. I would like to disable the trophy system on my PS3. I don’t like the idea that people can judge my gaming skills based on some random trophies i get during normal game play. I want zero trophies. Just to let people know that I’m not interested in this childish system. Will this be implemented in a future F.W update?

I’m having problems with uncharted’s Trophys. I already collected 15 and 20 treasures, did 100 head shots, 50 AK-47 Kills and it didn’t unlocked those trophys. I was replaying it for about 4h and unlocked those rewards and the trophys don’t came up. Any solution other than have to restart allover again?

Hope people read this… First of all, you can’t loose trophies which you’ve earned, medals you can yes, if you shut down the game on a moment when the game didn’t do its autosave. Like when you’ve used a weapon to make 20-50 kills or find a treasure which made you earn the trophy / medal. The trophy is still there in the trophy collection map, but indeed the medal is gone in your game. You just have to make those few shots again or find that treasure.

Second of all for the people who say they earn the medals but not the trophies. You need to delete the entire “save data” in your “saved game utility” in the Game tab. Best to delete the “game data” as well from the “game data utility”. You’ll remove the patch from your HDD. You’ll need to download the patch again, but that’s done quite fast and you start off with a complete fresh start.

P.S. I wish someone could respond about where I can get the official soundtrack without having an I-pod :-(

Maybe not having trophy patch for R3 game now is a good thing in some freaky way, when it will be out, I will have no problems with trophies and saves. Anyway, would like to know patch release date for R3.

I also have the asian version (living in Taiwan). Still waiting for the trophy patch.

I don’t mind waiting really, but a simple yes/no about whether or not it’s coming would be nice.

Anyway, I have some trophy hunting in Pixeljunk Eden to keep me busy while I wait.

Dear Naughty Dog,

I don’t know if this question has been asked before, but does this update (i haven’t downloaded it yet and played Uncharted with it) also include the ability to play your own custom music in-game from the XMB that was part of the 2.40 firmware update? If not, do you think you could maybe potential add that feature also in a new update if it’s not too much trouble to do so?

Again thanks for all your games and i really enjoyed Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune the first time i played it all the way to the end. Keep on making great games and experiences that many others including I throughly enjoy. :-)

if the trophys do not show up (just to let people know) try to compare your trophys with a friend and it will update it then youll see it it happened to me too.

hey evryone, i ahave collected all trophies except for the steel fist and steel fist expert….does anyone know any tricks to get these because i cant find the right time to punch the guy, i either kill him or i punch him and he needs more punchs :S

I’m nearly done with Hard so after this only 1 trophy to go, but I doubt I will get it on the hardest level.

@Godz pizzaman, yeah that one is quite easy. Just shoot the person only once or twice with your PM 9MM and then punch the guy after that. You’ll need to be closely to the enemy to be able to do that.

@Egytian American, sorry to say this, but you’re really crazy if you want to play custom soundtrack in a game like Uncharted. The game has an amazing soundtrack which perfectly fits with the atmosphere in the game, believe me. You ‘DON’T’ want to miss that.

And to answer your question… no it hasn’t.

im missing one trophy… uncharted! crushing. *sigh* i feel like ejecting uncharted and breaking the disc in half and throwing it away. this is like the 5th time playing uncharted, im getting pissed off.

Only 1 to go “Crushing”, but I doubt if I’ll make it. Is this level really that much harder than “hard”? Actually, you only need to play Uncharted twice to get the final 4 trophies. Play first at hard and second on Crushing. Once you’ve finished the game on hard you’ll unlock the other 2 as well. The rest of the stuff you can even get by selecting chapters, but you’ll need to finish the chapter before quiting the game, or else you’ll lose the reward in your game. NOT the trophy!

@210 I found the best way to get Steel Fist and Steel Fist expert is to start a new game on hard. On the very first mission on the boat shoot each pirate twice with the pistol, then punch them. Careful that you don’t run at them to quickly or you’ll do a flying two-footed kick instead. Only took me a couple of reloads to do it.

thanks for the tips guys, and crushing isnt really that hard….the only difference is ur health is shorter and ppl tend to rush u more, jus stay behind cover and pop out whenever the enemy stops shooting

i had all da tropies with in da 1st 2dayz after da patch waz released….and da even more easier way 2 get steel fist is 2 make sure ur in a place where their are alot of enemies and use da micro 9mm…..and run up on them shooting without aiming and wen u get close 2 em jus press da puuch button and bang….its super easy…seriously….

I really can’t stand people who’re like “ooow I already had the trophies within 2 days, Crushing is not so difficult”. Like people who’re having trouble in the game, are waiting for that nonsense.

I’m in chapter 13 of Crushing by the way, so over the half now and another thing, at some places you can’t just hide and wait. Monastery, Fortress (water part), Church… anyone? That’s what I’m talking about.

**!! BUG !!**

I have been having problems collecting some trophies. When you complete a challenge and receive the Medal Awarded message, it takes about 1-2 seconds before you get the Trophy message. It seems that if you die before the Trophy message, you do not get it!

Now this is a major problem because this means you have to load up a new save game without any previous awards! This happened to me several times over the weekend. I have had to create a total of 5 new games just to retry these trophies.

The trophies I had a problem collecting, meaning I had to do multiple times: Expert Dyno-Mite, SAS 50 kills, Grenade Hangman, Steel Fist, and Steel Fist Expert.

I have gone back and re-completed these medals 2 or 3 times on completely new saves and finally received my trophies (except for SAS 50 kills) -BUT- This system is really flawed / buggy!

Some clarification;

In some instances where I did not die, I would receive a message stating Medal Awarded but never get the Trophy message.

How often are we going to see this problem with the PSN Trophy system?

to all trophy problems, i think these trophy problems are only going to occur in uncharted…..because the game already and in-game medals and so naughty dog jus copied the trophy code on top of the medals so that whenever u get a medal u get a trophy, but other games that only have the trophy system will work more productively and smoothly…….and this is proof because it shuld be that u get the trophy award before the medal reward not reverse

YAH!!! Got him!! Made it after all. Until 6 chapters ago I didn’t do something I should have done long ago… hide and shoot, instead of hide, aim and shoot…. STUPID!!! Its a miracle I even got that far :-D

Probably one of the less females out there with a Platinum trophy :-D

Come on, not a single work on the Asian patch. What the heck is going on??? There are 1.3 billion people in China along another 1.1 billion in Indian…that’s almost HALF THE WORLD POPULATION!!!!

Get a patch out to this part of the world NOW!

I am sorry for the rant, but it is just SOOOO frustrating to see incompetence happen…I know it’s not Naughty Dog’s fault…SONY, I’m STARING at you!!!!

Arne – please pass word along that despite this new patch the sound issues are STILL present in the game. this is an enormous bug and it’s shocking that it’s still present.

I want to replay through the game again; and have started doing so – but I’m not prepared to turn off my system and load the game each time the sound cuts out. Please fix this.

Dear Arne Meyer, I am ANOTHER asian customer who is extremely puzzled by your company’s actions. Even more enraging is the fact that you guys are acting as if there is nothing wrong. I have waited for nearly a FULL MONTH, hoping that our region will just be getting the patch late, however i am starting to suspect that it will not be coming at all. It is now the end of August, and there is still NO words from you guys. If you guys are going to ignore us, then please have the courtesy to tell us (your worthless asian customers who despite what you think had paid the same price) that our meagre numbers doesn’t justify a patch. Then again it could be a hiccup between Naughty Dogs and Sony HK, but it has already been more than 3 weeks…
ANY REPLY IS NEEDED.
