Want into the PlayStation Home Closed Beta Test? Here’s How to Apply

Today we’re announcing the expansion of our closed beta test for PlayStation Home to begin at the end of the month.

Later today, the PLAYSTATION Store will be updated with a PlayStation Home theme. By downloading the theme, users are submitting an application to join the PlayStation Home Beta test community. We will be using a variety of criteria including activity on the PLAYSTATION Network to determine eligibility for the Beta community. Existing beta testers have automatically qualified to be part of the expanded beta.

We’re really excited about this milestone and want our most loyal fans to be a part of the evolution of PlayStation Home.

In Europe, SCEE is also beginning their expanded closed beta, directly targeting consumers who have been most active on PLAYSTATION Network and PLAYSTATION Store. SCEE will be in email contact with their PSN audience very shortly.

how would we know if we have not been pick for home beta(invites)…. and how along are they sending out these invites….. please let us know

i really hope its not to late i cant believe i just found out about this…ive been using the theme since it came out and am on the ps store every day browsing or buying stuff…

Nevermind I just looked it up, if I was on SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) the whole time, that sucks… Because I am from Canada (North America). Can someone tell me what blog this is! “SCEE or SCEA”?

@Risen, First you have to download PlayStation@Home Theme, then wait until you get picked, to find out if you got picked, simply check your email that you used for your account name (PSN) on PS3. You will receive an email saying you been selected, and enter the code at playstation.com

Also, they might send “HOME_BETA_INVITE” through your PS3 messages. Or not, but they will send it to your email, so keep checking!

well i been signed up on psu since 2005 and no luck here… and im on my ps3 everyday, bought mine in nov 2006, wasted god knows how much money on the ps store even more now with movies… and i still cant go HOME!

I am gonna quit visiting this page for updates, I read that they are sending out invites weekly, so hopefully ill get in, and I will let you guys know, and add me as a friend if you care to join home beta. Because your eligible to sound out invites to your friends.
