What are you playing this weekend? If you’re a Qore subscriber, I’m confident that the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation beta is in your plans. How do you get in? SOCOM.com just posted this nugget:

Greetings all Qore Episode 1 and Annual Customers,

We have some great news for you – the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation public beta is scheduled to be available tomorrow afternoon (think 5:00 PM PST) to all that purchased Episode 01 of Qore and that became Qore Annual Subscribers as of Episode 01. Please note that you will not be able to download the SOCOM: Confrontation beta through the Episode 01 Download Center – you can only gain access by using the SOCOM: Confrontation Beta Promotion Code that is being emailed to you tomorrow.
Once you receive the email containing your Promotion Code:

*Select “Account Management”
* Select “Transaction Management”

  • Dont worry I got my beta key 3 hours later so that would be around 8 o’clock and the e-mail said they send it at 4:45 PM be patient people :D I have Yahoo btw so they lagg it with e-mails.

  • It’s midnight right now, and I STILL have yet to recieve my Beta invite! I purchased episode 1 of Qore!?!?!?

  • What I meant was that I purchased episode 1 of Qore a long time ago…

  • i still dont got sh*t

  • Anyone know if the people who got Qore for free using a code in PlayStation: The Official Magazine are not getting beta codes for SOCOM?

That might explain why a lot seemed to have not received emails yet, including myself.

  • if you paid or got it for free yo should still get an email.

    Qore is Qore.

Anyone with Qore period will get a code via email.

It’s sad it’s taking this long for some people.

    PSN: nycmta

  • and i just boght a 50ft rj45 cable so no more lousy wifi blues

  • Stee Dont bother getting mad bro

no need man!!! just relax it will come im in the same boat bro

  • Has anyone that got Qore free with the PS mag received a code? Everyone I know that got Qore that way has not received a code. Everyone that I know that purchased Qore has received their code.

I’m thinking that the people who got Qore free may not get beta codes, and that might be why they gave out codes through email, instead of allowing people to use the download center.

  • anyone who got episode 1 able to get in or get an email or anything yet?

  • @327 – I got Qore Ep 1 & 2 through my PtOM subscription as well. If this turns out to be the case, we should’ve been warned that using a “free code” provided by the same company that provides the Qore Magazine (both are furnished by Future) would deny us any betas and possibly other items. Now if my future magazines comes with more Qore vouchers, I’ll be afraid use them lest I be disqualified from something else.

  • @328 nope i bought episode 1 and i still havent got an email yet

  • Jeff…just wanted to say I had a great time in Socom Beta tonight with a few friends that I have had now for a bit.

I had heard both negative and positive about Socom, but from what I saw today, I love this game.

We were using the PS3 eye to communicate vocally, in case anyone else may wonder if it works….my friends also mentioned Warhawk headset will work too.

    Thanks Sony, a great Beta.

  • i havent got an e-mail either and im an annual subscriber, so my theory is that no matter how u got qore it will take quite a bit in order to get the e-mail so depending the time when ur e-mail was sent it will take from 3 to 5 hours to receive it. If yours was sent at 9pm u´ll get it like at 12pm or 2am

  • Ive got my [DELETED]. ill see you guys inside. but right now, im going to go watch monk and psych, those shows rock.

    laters

  • I still don’t have my code. I paid for the annual subscription, checked my inbox and my junk mail. NOTHING!!!!

  • I got the episode through the promo code in the PTOM, and no email either. Oh well. I won’t buy a game that I can’t try first. =)

  • Got Qore through PTOM and no email. Did anybody who got it this way receive the code?
Please somebody post an article to clarify this, so we know how people are being selected for the beta.

  • It is 1:10 a.m. saturday and I still have not received my email. I’m not going to buy socom unless I can try it first.

  • joseph2411 I got my Qore on the Playstation store..that’s how I subscribed and I got the email.

I’m not sure about PTOM as I have another friend that said the same as you and they haven’t received an email yet either….so maybe you guys don’t, or are in another batch that still is to send out…not sure.

  • WTH!!! I have Qore Episode 1!!! Wheres my Code?!?!

  • I think Sony is about the only company that could mess up a wet dream. :-\ They can’t even release a “beta” correctly. lol

  • so i am a subscriber and have been since day one and i got no email with the redeem code what do i do now. . . i really want to play this beta

  • @MNWestStudent

  • still no beta code here yet. 6:00am in indy. the e-mail system looks to be a total loss. i wonder if they do refunds?

  • i never got mine this is bull

  • STILL NO INVITE CODE>>>

    WTF

  • BAD NEWS guys::

ITS WAS ONLY TO A SELECTED FEW PEOPLE GOT THE INVITE

  • THATS WHAT SONY IS TELLING ME NOW

  • boooooooooooooooo

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    I cant believe this ****

  • Unfortunately, I was one of the unlucky people who actually DID receive their Qore Code.

Downloaded the game, installed it, downloaded a quick patch, and then attempted to play…

…and that’s where it became painfully obvious that this product isn’t ready for release, or even for a beta.

My first attempt at entering a game had me waiting over 15 minutes, just watching a twirling loading icon. I figured my system was frozen, but to my surpise the game eventually started. But then my character frooze as soon as the game started. I could see a few people running around, but my character was locked in position.

Eventually, the round ended, and my screen just went black. And didn’t recover.

    Reboot #1.

My second attempt: another lengthy wait to get into a game (roughly 10 minutes). This time I was able to move my player, but everyone on the screen was jittering around in the worst lag-fest of a game I’d ever experienced. I left that game.

The third attempt: yet another long wait. And then more lag. I left that game, at which point the game frooze again.

    Reboot #2.

Fourth attempt: another long wait. This time the lag was at least “playable”. I managed to kill two players, but started to ask myself: why am I wasting time with this dreadful game? I couldn’t find a single feature that was interesting or done better than the countless other games on the market.

Man, reviewers are going to eat this game alive.
