Theres no doubt WipEout is a very good deal with all its features for 20 bucks.
Megaman is another genre of game, so I dont see them going against each other really.
In the end…Im spending 30 dollars next week on the store :)

i still remember the fun of choosing your own way through the bosses in Mega Man 2 (my personal favorite MM game) i can still see the level select screen..
great retro nes case btw- genius! i love the little yellow tag $9.99….i only wish it was real, and not just a promo sent to journalists! you guys really nailed it, my hat’s off, this is the coolest thing a game company has done in a long while…it’s like i’m young again!
you know, there was a recent Iam8bit art show in L.A.- you guys would blow them out of the water!!show em how it’s really done!

Iam8bit are our close friends. In fact, they helped us with the art. Also, if you want to have a chance at the \”200\”, go to my Unity blog and comment. I heard that those who do may have first crack at them bad boys. That\’s between me and you though. Don\’t tell everyone, ok?

john d just read capcom confirm the release that to be sept 25 for the psn.so show us love i think capcom got the wrong idea and think that u can only sell well if u have an overly graphic depended game.the ps3 owner dont care much about graphic we would mh3 to be at least muilt platform i hate the wii online buddy system and there no way im going to buy a game that meant to be played online on it.
john d please please help me get one of those 200 limited package for mm9.i grew up on mm and i own all mm games beside the ds ones.
one last thing mega man legends 3 should be a ps3 exclusive not a multplatform game u are aiming at the ps audience that played the first 2 well i got news for capcom we still here on the ps platform most of us have either a psp or ps3 some are lucky enough to have both like me.

Hey, I got Mega Man Aniversery 1-8 on PS2 and I look forward to number 9. Also I hope that real soon year or two you will put all the MM games on one blueray disk. ALL OF THEM MM 1-9 and MM X 1-8. OH and remote play also would be cool and in game music and trophy suport. And I have been long time fan of Capcom since I was a little boy!!! Street fight HD PLEASE some time soon I hope.

I agree with psyXcho, this is an important question. I’m going to be playing the hell out of this game, and while I appreciate the 4:3 “old-school goodness,” my plasma may think differently if all I have are black bars on the sides of the screen…
…at least include an option for 16:9, and if you don’t, then please include something for us folks not using “old-school goodness” TVs. :)

You know, that\’s a good question about the sides having graphic placeholders. The builds I have didn\’t. I didn\’t notice the ability to go full screen. I hear you about Plasma burn-in, although it\’s not as bad as it used to be. I have one and we want to do away with any ghosting. I guess you could always zoom, but that sucks.

John said trophies were coming “soon” after BCR launched…it has in fact been over a month since then, and no trophies…and we are far past “soon”. This is the lie I’m talking about. He promised PSN users a patch for trophies, and it hasn’t arrived…and NOW he’s saying that the patch will hit when BC arrives on Ps3. WTF? THAT GAME DOESN’T EVEN HAVE A RELEASE DATE!!!!

This is my last reply to you Madman. I stated that trophies would be coming soon for BCR. That\’s what was relayed to me by the dev team. The priority for the team is to get BCR out and coincide trophies with that release. I know we would all like it to come sooner than later. The team is working hard on it. Now go relax, get a message, and don\’t stress. Life is good.
Frankly, it should not be called Mega Man 9 if its the same classic game.
Why would I pay $10 for a game I can play in any mod PS3, cell phone, PC emulators??
and it would all be free.

No the BCR trophies has not been cancellled. We looked into 1942 and the cost associated with implementing them are quite high. I\’m not ruling it out for 1942, but it\’s looking unlikely.

To JohnD I have voted in your poll 3 times. There is no way my small voice is being heard over the cries for another fighting game. Capcom needs to stop asking what the public wants and start building on gems from the past that have great potential.

How does MM9 work with HD resolutions? Are you adding some sort of filtering to make it look “right”? and what about widescreen?

I Really loved the MegaMan graphics on the NES, they were one of the best (even better than some sega genesis games).
But now I understand why it is in 8-bit graphix.. because it’s not a REMAKE!!! it’s a new game… So could we expect a Megaman I and II remake a la BC:R…. Please!!!!!!!!! :)
Keep up the good work and it’s really appreciated that you give us some feed back… The way you handle it, it looks like more to e-mails than a blog, since you’re almost aswering all the posts :)

Me, mean spirited? I’m merely reasonable…I request delivery on a patch that was promised to us LONG ***ING AGO.
Do I need hug? Somedays. But when you’re going through money troubles, and the one thing that would push you over the edge to drop 10 bucks plus tax on a new PSN game is trophies, and then the developer FAILS to deliver on that promise…thats ****ing pitiful, deceitful, and makes Grin, John and Judd all scum in my books. I could have used that money for something good….a better game, paying off my credit card rather than charging it…hell, putting food on the table. When I am lied to, I do not take kindl y to it. When I’m lied to and it ends up putting me out money? Then I’m furious.
If an obituary for all associated with the BC series showed up tommorow, I don’t think I would shed one tear. It would be all well deserved in my books.

Rockman 1-6 were released on ps1 for Japan with enhancements such as a database and remixed music. We got stripped down versions of these the form of Megaman Anniversary Collection. Any chance of bringing them to PSN individually as PS1 Classics?

SCEE is really idiotic (we got Super Puzzle Fighter 6 months after the US release and the AU store is not even getting Bishi Bashi Special with no reason cited from SCEE) so if you could really give those fools at SCEE a hard kick up the toosh for me, I’d appreciate it ^_^

I don’t know, John. You guys are launching at the same time WipEout HD is. I loved Mega Man as a kid, but this is stiff competition. Custom soundtracks, trophies, 8p online, split-screen multi-player, 1080p, 60fps……all for only $10 more than what is basically an 8-bit NES game.
I need more of a reason. Bionic Commando was more than worth it, but this…….I’m not sold.
