  • I could’ve sworn Red Baron was supposed to come out today…

Oh well the demos are certianly nice, and we know we have WipEout HD coming next Thursday… Here’s hoping for Mega Man 9 next week!!!!

  • I found an issue.

When you download the 4th NBA 09 video, it really downloads the second. Double checked.

    Cheers

  • I was expecting BioShock demo! =O I guess it’s coming later :)
Great stuff Grace ^_^ thank you for the Valkyria Chronicles GC Trailer, my most anticipated game along with R2 and LBP!

  • @EvoAnubis
One more thing on multiple data album editing. When making a playlist, you cannot access previously made playlists. So when you want to make a playlist composed of data from other playlists, you’re out of luck. You would have to wade through all of that data again instead of having it conveniently organized into an album. So once again.

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

And so do you Anubis. Playlists are no substitute for an album since you can’t access a playlist when creating a new playlist.

  • One week to WipeOut. :)

  • kind of ridiculous not to have the title track of the album on there.

  • You’d have to do the same thing in order to do your “multiple album data edit” anyway. Why do something twice when you can just do it once?

As far as demos are concerned, why would you need “multiple album data edit” for that?

  • @53: You could simply edit the existing playlist. Your “multiple album data edit” is a waste of time.

  • Yes, this has been a good week. Life with Playstation, the Socom beta update to 1.30, a good PSN store update. A good Singstar Store Update…even a firmware update that maybe added or turned on some feature in GT5 prologue.

    Good going Sony!

  • Nice update, Fracture and Mercenaries demo are so nice. Been waiting for Mercenaries, see if I should get it haha.

Now what they need to do is add Iron Man to the movie store and I’ll be happy.

  • Will demo size ever decrease? Just wondering.

  • @14 kspraydad

You’re absolutely right about the Sing Star comment. Sing Star DLC should be included in every Thursdays PSN Store update. My friends and I are big fans of that game. We have no way of knowing when there’s new songs unless we go and look for it.

Now I can try Mercenaries 2 for myself. Even though most likely I won’t buy it since there’s no Trophy support. I believe all current PS3 title should come with Trophies or patch once released. I want my full $60+tax worth!

  • Another outstanding update. Keep up the great work Sony, we really appreciate it!

  • Good update!!!! I’m loving it! Singstar’s DLC should be included in every Thursday’s PSN Store update. I agree!!!

More PS1 classics should be up as well!

  • Some new avatars would be great! I’m so bored with the current one. Besides, I haven’t see any avatar updates.

  • well why arent there any dang PS1 calssics yet?? Here is what everyone else is waiting for too.

    Metal Gear Solid
    Ehinhander
    FinalFantasy 7,8,or even 9
    Legend Of Dragoon
    Spyro 2
    Street Fighter Alpha 3
    MortalKombat Trilogy
    DinoCrisis
    ResidentEvil 2
    OmegaBoost
    SilentHill
    Xmen-Vs-Street Fighter
    Marvel-Vs-Street Fighter
    MegaMan Legends
    CrashTeamRacing
TOMBA!!!! 1 and 2 Perfect for PSP
    Legacy Of Kain:Soul Reaver
    Blood Omen: Legacy Of Kain
    Bloody Roar 2
    Breath Of Fire 4
    Chrono Trigger
    CoolBoarders 3
    DarkStalkers
    Destrega
    DukeNukem 1,2,and 3
    Gekido
    GranTurismo 2
    GrandTheftAuto 2
    GuiltyGear
    IntelligentCube
    Parasite Eve 1 and 2
    RoadRash:JailBreak
    Tenchu 1,2, an 3
    Vragant Story
    Valkyrie Profile
    Vigilante 8

  • Good update looking forward to next week :)

  • @66: Yup. See, THOSE are things “we” need.

  • @EvoAnubis
So with your approach it would be necessary to continuously edit playlists instead of just having one playlist to access. For example, let’s say I wanted to listen to one album, that would equate to one playlist. Then let’s say I wanted a playlist for a particular mood, let’s say a hyper, electronica kind of playlist. I would have to edit a playlist over and over again when I wanted to switch between the two lists. That sounds exceptionally cumbersome to me when you could just have albums you access and only need to create one playlist for one occasion that you access whenever you want. Like I said before, playlists are no substitute for albums since you can’t access an playlist when you want to create a playlist. So again:

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

WE NEED MULTIPLE DATA ALBUM EDIT!!!

  • Nice update, love it. Maybe next week yall can give us The Little Big Planet Beta Theme….PLEASE…. Thank U

  • Great news for people without the COD pack… those are good maps, and for $5, they’re a good deal.

I’ll definitely be picking up the demo, but I might have to pass on the Megadeth. I think the guitar heroics of Marty Friedman may just leave me frustrated, lol. I WILL say that I would’ve bought the “Rust In Peace” album regardless, though… a far better album, IMHO, and more impressive musicianship to boot.

  • Great update! i didnt post anything in the life with playstation so ill do here, there was someone saying that you should add your friend list on the globe to see where they are and i was like what a great idea..
You should add that in the next update
Thanks for the update and life with playstation

  • @69: You mean your music doesn’t already – no, damn this. *gives thumbs up* Fight the good fight, brother! More power to you!

  • @EvoAnubis
Also let’s talk about those ps1 games. It sure would be convenient to be able to organize them from psn games and demos and add-ons. I know you could put them in different albums. But what if you have a lot of them on your hard drive, it sure would be a pain to change the album info on them individually. I know a feature called multiple data album edit should be created. If playlists can do everything albums can do, which they cannot, why have albums?

  • Hey does anyone know what the PSN ids of the Infinity ward people are?

  • @75: Maybe on their website. Otherwise, I have no idea.

  • I totally agree with multiple album/demo/picture edits, for those of us with ALOT of data on our hard drives..

also sequential playback would be a great option, it would be nice to be able to turn it on/off like random play..

    both good ideas!

also looking forward to Fracture demo, and i already bought Mercs2 for the 360…great game to kill a few hours with here and there!

    thanks for the update!

  • Can someone please tell me how I can fix this problem!
For a while now I’ve noticed that when my PS3 goes idle and F@H comes up it doesn’t seem connected and now the Life is out I can’t connect to the servers! Even though everything else works fine, I’m logged in to PSN and I play online games just fine, but when it comes to F@H and LifewithPS it stays logged off… wtf someone plz help! :(

  • Beautiful update Sony. You’ve been owning this week.

  • This is definitely another killer update. Thanks to all involved! :D

  • Nice… but Fracture demo on UK store and Portugal have nothing?
    Portugal is a country… please don’t ignore us…

  • @TheInfectedBy590
In LwP, under configuration, PLAYSTATION(R)Network, is the Sign-In Dialog Box option checked?

  • @82
I’ve checked that and I have no problem signing on the PSN, it’s F@H and Life it always says ‘Could not connect to servers’
    T.T

  • @84

    maybe reset your router?

  • Great update, thanks!

  • @Zorox

Disgaea 3 we just got an rpg and got two more coming. Getting Valkyrie Chronicles as well then white knight chronicles and ES. Then Feb comes around and we get the ff13 demo which should be sexy along with Advent Children(Just a blu-ray not a game) complete.

    @cell898
Most of the square games you listed have little to no chance of being released I think one or two are going to PSP. But you can always wish capcom and square would release them.

on a sad note my ps3 is off to repair red light flashes and I was just about to hit my 1600 work unit oh well maybe too much folding. No life with playstation well my friends showed it too me looks great other than the lack of a zoom feature.

Come on Sony you have to assume a lot of us have HDTVs and they are 37+ inches. Zoom feature with any type of reading should of been standard. Other than that got to see the VC trailer looks great.

  • @85

Like I said I don’t have problems with any other connections so the modem’s fine, but I reset it anyways and problem’s still there… :(

  • this sucks… am I the only one going through this? ;_;

  • @TheInfectedBy590
What firmware version do you have? Maybe 2.43 might help if you’re using 2.42.

  • this week was nice, still no live 09 demo huh, guess I have to wait one more weak…I dont see why we have to wait so long…

  • Now that the Les Paul patch has hit, when it the Stratocaster patch going to be allowed into the wild? I want to use my stratocaster to play Death Magnetic.

  • Two shooter demos? How about more PSN content for those of us who are not “hardcore” gamers? How about more demos of E-rated games?

I bought the PS3 assuming it would have similar games as the PS2 (games like Sly Cooper and SSX Tricky). Instead, the PS3 is becoming a clone of the Xbox with its focus on “hardcore” games, and it’s frustrating.

I’m sure most people here are “hardcore” gamers and appreciate the shooter games, but not all of us are.

  • @BStreakX
What have you tried so far?

  • Where is the much needed demo for Unreal Tournament 3? Also, the Japanese Playstation Store has a new game video of Unreal Tournament 3. Can you please have it translated into English & put it up on the US Playstation Store?

  • Ok, so where is Red Baron that was supposedly to be released today?

The bigger question is will WipEout HD face a similiar fate next week.

Funny how things fall into the Bermuda Playstation Triangle…

  • Nice update over. But I’m curious about who to blame about the US PS3 SC4 not being patched. Is it held up in certification purgatory? Japanese PS3 SC4 got a balance patch about a week ago. I believe the US 360 SC4 got it yesterday. Yet here I am waiting.

  • hmmm… where’s this week’s classic console/arcade game?! Why isn’t there one every week? -We’ll pay top dollar for it!!!

  • @90
Tried it….still the same, Life hates me :(

  • All this content is great; But it would be really great if Sony could come thru on some promises….I mean I’ve owned two PS1’s; a PS2; I still own PSP and PS3….I bought my psp-1001 for a promised launch title of GT4 Mobile…Can you say Vapor Ware? Then I bought my ps3….Home was announced March 07 i think, its been delayed how many times now? PSN Cards…..how long you guys been talking about them? I dont have a credit card; I would love to blow random cash on PSN but I can’t. Life with playstation… Delayed… Launched by accident… pulled why not just let it go live? This is frustrating us. Could you guys possibly start making some realistic launch schedules; or just stop telling us about things until they are actually ready?
