@51PyroJack
Actually, that add-on was released long time ago (ok no so long time ago, but you get the idea) in the europe store because this game was released first in europe and later here in the US. But it’s better to have add-on contents to not have nothing new because they don’t have more money to spent and never released, for me it better them to charge for something to not have nothing at all. Big games can make it for free but not this one, it’s a cool casual game but it will not sell millions so quickly.

On topic really, really, really one of the best updates. For now I only bought wipeout… maybe later I will see the other because burnout I already have it.

Any way you could update us on where the trophies patch is for Burnout Paradise? Criterion announced on their website and in the in-game news that trophies were available this morning, yet the patch isn’t offered to US PSN customers yet.

+ NipGrip on September 25th, 2008 at 3:14 pm said:

EvoAnubis, do you have over 50 friends on your list by chance? I have the same issue and way over 50 friends but I don’t want to delete any just to test this fix. Some have said it’s related to the +50 friends.. Either way, where is QA when you need them?

Where’s the Burnout Paradise patch?

128

+ ps360 on September 25th, 2008 at 3:24 pm said:

“Patches” are available when a game starts up and detects an update, assuming you are online. These are free.

“Add-ons” aka DLC, are available from the PSN Store and sometimes within the game, which eventually leads to the PSN store anyways. These, for the most part, require $$.

Sometimes, downloading an add-on results in the game requiring an update or patch, hence the confusion.

As for trophies, no purchase was ever necessary (99% sure, I don’t own every game that has trophy support) for a game to be “patched” to support trophies.

for others who are looking to buy the SC4 equipment set 2 let me warn you- the pack only comes with 2 new items for male character creation which are:
- A cool jack-o-lantern helmet that is really just a pumpkin over your head ( its pretty cool)
- A cape that looks pretty much the same as the other capes ( boring!)

as far as i could see i couldn’t find any new equipment for female character creation

-in my mind this is not worth $1.99…but if you think the pumpkin head gear is cool then go ahead and buy it

@ EvoAnubis

I’m having the same problem bud….got lots of friends, can’t play at all cause every 4 panes and it freezes.

I read that if you play offline for now it will work (so we’ll just have to do that until a fix is here, but at least it will be playable that way).

I just bought Buzz and am downloading the latest patch for it, so for now I’m a happy camper.

I can wait a bit for the Wipeout fix.

At least they found it now it’s the friends list instead of later down the road.

Still loving you Sony and I love my PS3.

As for the freezing issue:

I started an offline game and it worked like normal. I also then quit the game, deleted enough friends to have right at 50 and now it works online. Not sure what fixed it, I would lean more towards thinking once I played an offline game, that straightened whatever the issue is out.

+ GGCAN on September 25th, 2008 at 4:45 pm said:

@NipGrip…one problem….I like these friends I have and don’t want to lose them.

So…..for now I play offline until a fix is found.

I’ve got lots of other games other than Wipeout and I’m ok with a bit of a wait.

Played Burnout with a friend online last night for the first time and I had a really good time.

Now the trophies for Burnout are out, so lots to do still.
