We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologize for any offense that this may have caused.

What exactly is wrong with including music that contains expressions from the Qur’an? Who are you offending? Of all people, I think this game is appealing to the generation of people who understand that just because someone is Muslim does NOT mean they’re our arch enemy.

why should sony endanger thier employees for some kid to play a game on the 21st instead of the 27th? (and I say little kid because if you are a sony consumer and you don’t understand this move then you must be a child for no reasonable person would want to endanger a life for a game) personally i would not be offended by the game however there about 12 million muslims who might get upset

I can now buy Far Cry 2 and build maps for a week before Little Big Planet comes out. Payday is on the 25th so i will not starve after buying both games at once :) FAR CRY is the LBP for Shooters FLBP for a week.

No… I don’t think that Science is A religion. I think that science can be put asides religion in a figurative speech. Religion is a belief, and so is science, if looked at with the appropriate glasses.
And religion is also a science. There is an institute for Christian Science, if I remember correctly ^^ Though I don’t really know what they do =P

Putting your brand before the majority of your customers isn’t much of a good idea because then the brand becomes worse regardless. Why do you think Sony is having a lot of difficulty marketing the PS3?

Just enjoy the Resistance 2 Beta while you wait for LBP…but remember a week after LBP is released…Resistance 2 comes out on the 4th of november…So save up your moneys!
I understand that this is likely not a choice made by the game’s creators, and is rather a corporate reaction to save the game (and their own asses) from scrutiny on any level that doesn’t deal with the gameplay itself, but at some point, you need to tell people to not buy your product if it bothers them that much. Here’s what you say:

I bet neo-nazis found wolfenstein 3D offensive… Satanists probably didn’t like Doom’s imagery of hell. All these RPGs with their magic is clearly offensive to all branches of judeo-christianity. Apparently the people who complained about this game take their religion so seriously (sarcasm) that they don’t find the CD offensive, but they find it offensive in LBP.
That sort of idiocy is the reason why we’re here with LBP delayed. They didn’t find it offensive when it came out 2 years ago, but now they do. Apparently the religion allows you to bend the rules however you please.

But I think you’re being kind of offensive in your post. Saying that religion is only for scared people is far from correct. I know a great deal of religious people, and they have all been grateful for their religion being in their lives, when they needed it. One of my friends has had some tough situations(I’m not going to go into details), and he really liked having God to talk to.
I’m not confusing religion and science. It’s just a figure of speech, I recently discovered, and I thought it fit perfectly for this discussion ^^
I know there’s a difference in religion and science. But in my point of view, it’s just two ways of explaining the world. And yes, there are errors in the written parts of religion(thinking mostly of the Bible). But remember that it was written by humans, and humans make mistakes. And as for helping people in need, then Science has psychology and religion has… well, I don’t know the word for it, but I think spiritual dialogue will do fine =)

What bad publicity? Prove that there would have been bad publicity if they had done nothing. You can’t. Certainly not enough bad publicity that it would outweigh the damage that has been done to the playstation brand and Sony’s reputation for making decisions like these..

Would everyone just stop the whining and religious bashing. SONY had no choice but to delay the game. If they hadn’t, just imagine the bad press of protesters and potential violence upon the game’s release.
They are doing the right thing. If getting this game a week later is the worst thing in your life, you need help.
