Hello everyone, it’s your friendly neighborhood David Hasselhoff here. I know you’re probably wondering “What in the KITT am I doing on the PS Blog?” right? Well…settle down…settle down! I’m here to let you know straight from the Hoff’s mouth – I’m coming to PAIN! And it hurts so good! Don’t believe me, PEOPLE Magazine just broke the story and I’m talking about it on my blog.
What am I doing in PAIN you ask? It’s the Movie Studio! What’s a movie studio without The Hoff? You can now put The Hoff into a launcher and fling me into harm’s way – exploding crates, cars, people – everything is fair game. And best of all, you’ll never even put a scratch on this mug of mine!
When I was first approached about PAIN, I really didn’t know what to think. I mean, it’s great to think that someone would want to put me in a game, but THIS game is all about flinging people into walls, smashing them into cars, and spanking monkeys. While I wholeheartedly approve of the monkey spanking, I wasn’t too sure about the rest of the game. When I finally got my hands on PAIN though, everything changed, and I “got it”. If anybody can understand silly fun, it’s me.
I am a man of many emotions so when you throw me around the Movie Studio, I need to express myself. What better way than in song! So to commemorate my invasion onto the PS3, I made a cover song of Culture Club’s “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” exclusively for PAIN. I’m really happy with the way the track turned out. We definitely brought something new to such a classic, well-known tune, and when you hear it, you’re going to like it. Sure, you know David Hasselhoff, but this song is like nothing I’ve done before.
So, after a lot of hard work by a bunch of talented people, Hoff Day is coming on Nov. 6! I’ve got the keys to the Movie Studio … who wants in? After all, do you REALLY want to hurt me? Wait….don’t answer that. Just go download The Hoff and play PAIN!
So if the Hoff has an author account now on the PS.Blog, can we look forward to him replying to comments on other posts?
Haha – it’d be hilarious if the devs made a post about GT5: Prologue and the Hoff started fielding questions.

Now if you can just make is so we can switch characters on the launcher…. Just give us some way to do it besides quitting the game!
You guys need to do a mixed anime level, put some famous characters in there.
Hmm, as far as characters go…
– Sephiroth (with his sword)
– Jak and/or Daxter
– Ratchet and/or Clank
– Lara Croft
(sorry if I mentioned some that may have already)
I think launching objects could be fun, too! Maybe in a different mode, of course. ;) Like a car or the massive bowling ball.

When I saw Travis, our PAIN developer/producer friend, buddy ole pal of ours said special things were coming, but did anyone, even came CLOSE to guessing the Hoff!

Good morning my friend, how are you? ‘m sitting here having NO sleep at all since Tuesday night. I was playing R2 online, and in the corner of my eye, I saw somethign. A baby friggan mouse. So since 11:30ish last night, I have made a prison of a sort on my rooms floor. Cramming newspapers… oh forget it..lol
OK T, I have 3 good questions for you:
1-Are you going to get the HOFF back in the studio to record some new or more dialog in the future?
2- Since the Hoff started this Blog/message board with his “message” will the HOFF, make appearances here, and write stuff to us, or his feelings about the game etc., down the road?
3- My opinion, and some may agree, but I think we really need, ok, let me rephrase.. TRAVIS. WE REALLY, REALLY, REALLY NEED ALTERNATE OUTFITS FOR THE HOFF!!! lol
a- Option 1- His current Tux is fine…
but then we need his ….
b- Knight Rider outfit aka the Michael Knight outfit- Black jeans, button down black shirts, and his black leather jacket.
And this, this is a GIVEN!
3- His Baywatch lifeguard clothes!
We can even have his character holding his life perserver Bouy lol

And David, IF you actually read this, all I got to say is, many people knew you before, some knew you from America’s Got Talent, but now your gonna be whipped, thrown, chucked, blown up, crashed, thrashed and mashed by amusement park rides, evil clowns, TNT Teddy Bears, Monkey’s, more explosives, and have every bone in your body broken, and so much more by millions of people! AIN’T IT GREAT!!
whenever you and KITT, jumped, crashed, spun out, etc. you never got hurt! Now, your in PAIN, and your not getting HURT here either. What a coinkie dink!!

OMG… This is the best use of a Celebrity yet! Some celebrities don’t like to be made fun off, some just laugh with us, and Huff is laughing with us and that is badass! I hope more Celebrities accept the offer to be in Pain and have fun playing with themselfs in the game and with other of their celebrity friends.

This is awesome! The Hoff is back! Now get William Shatner in the game, too, and this will be the greatest game ever made!
And speaking of The Hoff and Shatner, it just occured to me that The Hoff IS the heir-apparent to Shatner. Both have remarkably similar career paths. Both started out acting, had hit TV shows, and tried singing. OK, that’s about where it ends, but that’s enough similarity for me. If you have The Hoff, then you have to have The Shat!
How about every James Bond ever?! Anyway, that expansion it’s making me buying the game (and the expansion), now I just need a PSN Card.
I’m still giggling. Great to see the Hoff has such a great sense of humor. I did get Amusement Park but I wasn’t really sold on continuing to buy add-ons for PAIN. Now I have to get Movie Studio.
The “Culture Club” cover might be enough to finally get the game.
