Hello everyone, it’s your friendly neighborhood David Hasselhoff here. I know you’re probably wondering “What in the KITT am I doing on the PS Blog?” right? Well…settle down…settle down! I’m here to let you know straight from the Hoff’s mouth – I’m coming to PAIN! And it hurts so good! Don’t believe me, PEOPLE Magazine just broke the story and I’m talking about it on my blog.
What am I doing in PAIN you ask? It’s the Movie Studio! What’s a movie studio without The Hoff? You can now put The Hoff into a launcher and fling me into harm’s way – exploding crates, cars, people – everything is fair game. And best of all, you’ll never even put a scratch on this mug of mine!
When I was first approached about PAIN, I really didn’t know what to think. I mean, it’s great to think that someone would want to put me in a game, but THIS game is all about flinging people into walls, smashing them into cars, and spanking monkeys. While I wholeheartedly approve of the monkey spanking, I wasn’t too sure about the rest of the game. When I finally got my hands on PAIN though, everything changed, and I “got it”. If anybody can understand silly fun, it’s me.
I am a man of many emotions so when you throw me around the Movie Studio, I need to express myself. What better way than in song! So to commemorate my invasion onto the PS3, I made a cover song of Culture Club’s “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” exclusively for PAIN. I’m really happy with the way the track turned out. We definitely brought something new to such a classic, well-known tune, and when you hear it, you’re going to like it. Sure, you know David Hasselhoff, but this song is like nothing I’ve done before.
So, after a lot of hard work by a bunch of talented people, Hoff Day is coming on Nov. 6! I’ve got the keys to the Movie Studio … who wants in? After all, do you REALLY want to hurt me? Wait….don’t answer that. Just go download The Hoff and play PAIN!

I’m not sure Chuck Norris would be technically playable in the game: either the slingshot would be flung back by just touching him, or the entire game world would implode after Chuck Norris’ head of awesomeness hit the ground.

@Everyone: Yes the Studio is coming out on the 6th of November and I am in the process of getting more victims to toss. I posted on the Blog before and asked everyone who they wanted to toss. Celebs and Video Game Characters were the top votes so we are making good on promises to give you what you want.

I’d love to see Stephen Colbert in the game, I’m sure he’s up for it. I mean, the guy is a big nerd with his song in Guitar Hero and himself running for president in the Marvel universe.

Gotta respect the way Hoff takes these things with humour rather than getting pissed. This is how you turn jokes about yourself in to positive reputation.
Chuck Norris would be too good, he would literaly tear the town a part killing any1 in his way while scoring so much points that even our small minds can comprehend.

This is great, getting the Hoff to endorse the game is a PR masterstroke!!!
I never got PAIN at release but I’m tempted after seeing all the additional development that has gone into it. Any idea if there’ll be a bundle price containing the original game and the 2 expansions?
Does the Hoff actually voice the character I take it? Is the song background music or does the character sing it as he’s flying? How many phrases does he have, if any?
I’d love to see Mr T in the game, I can see it now – “I petty the fool that fires me from a slingshot!”

This is awesome news. I saw we tried to get Bush, but can we get that communist Obama to shoot also? At least on election night, when ACORN throws him in office via the Mickey Mouse vote, I can hurl him from a sling right into the subway.

I agree with getting you in the game Travis! Let us also expand that and get the PS Blog crew in PAIN so we can toss around Eric Lempel for firmware updates and Jeff for fun!

Yes it’s really David singing in the trailer and it’s REALLY him voicing his character. We had a TON of fun working with him. He’s honestly one of the most awesome celebs I have ever worked with.
And I tried to get some political figures and I got shot down. It was a valiant effort though.
