With the Resistance 2 public beta now in full swing, we wanted to make you aware of a few important dates for those in North America.
- The open application process will close today at 4 p.m. PDT. If you haven’t applied yet, head to http://beta.myresistance.net/apply.
- Today is not your last chance! Much like with the LittleBigPlanet beta, USA Today will be distributing (hundreds of) codes on their site beginning next Tuesday.
- The download servers will shut down on Wednesday, October 29 at 5 p.m. PDT. What’s that mean exactly? You won’t be able to download the beta after this date.
- We’ll be shutting down the beta servers on Thursday, October 30 at 11:59 p.m PDT. After that, you’ll need a retail copy of R2 to continue playing this first-person shooter.

I pre-ordered the game on GameStop and got the code from them, but I never receive the email from SONY to get the second code to download the game :(

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Only 6 more days of the Beta. Good thing I’m picking up the game. Oh and I can get some Socom time in while I wait for the retail copy.
Great job with this one Insomniac the co-op kicks ass. I have never seen so much going on at once in a game. And the multiplayer is no slouch either.

This has been my first beta since warhawk. i’m happy i actually got into something again. the online in this game is insane, a major improvement over the first game. the co op just adds more replay ablity to the game.

Will the Leviathan be appearing at some point in the co-op campaign? From what I’ve seen of the beta it’d probably take an 8 man squad atleast half an hour to flip him!

What give Sony? I’m still getting the 80710092 error when I try to update the client to 1.03! Someone help me please!? I’ve tried both wired and wireless yet I continuously get this stupid error! I’ve even deleted and re-downloaded the client to just make sure but still nothing!

Shame that I now have my code, but each time I enter it and press continue I get an “An error has occured (8002311A)” message; and no Resistance 2 :(

man, a lot of people are having problems, i guess im just lucky, my qore beta came about a week later than the beta, but i didnt want to wait so i went and preordered it, got my code and played, then gave my qore code away on the R2 beta forum…no lag for me, not one disconnect, few probs but i’m sure theyll fix em…if you wanna talk about the beta..beta.myresistance.net peace

R2 has been awesome. I’ve been playing for the past few nights and R2 is everything i expected and more. I am however wondering if the progress made in the beta will transfer towards the final game? For instance will i have to level up me medic again when the full game is released?

I’ve only played co-op so far. Played for about 5 minutes then had to quit–to buy it off Amazon :) Simply amazing, I can’t wait to have the retail copy in my hands.

saturday afternoon and still no invite … guess i wont be gettin into this beta… only had to miss the first week and a half of the socom beta but i got into that 1 atleast…
Qore = way overhyped at the moment
i hope they atleast up thier game a little bit cuz ppl didnt pay money to get “last in line” invites

really enjoyed the co-op experience. Loved how polished the game seemed too. This one definately a must have this holiday season for me. Bummer the beta is only a week long :(…

I’m sad, I challenged my roommate the other day to a game of High Velocity Bowling and placed a small wager; which in-turn made me have to give up my beta code to resistance 2, so as I sat by and watched him enjoy my beta experience I have to say the game looks amazing the combat is definitely above my expectations. Another must have for the holidays :)
