Have had the game since a fortnight and I really enjoyed it. This enjoyment however is starting to sour the longer the servers aren’t switched on.

You guys were given a 1 week reprieve to even get them ready and working for the new launch, but instead here we are with still no online or costume redeeming functionality after the game has properly arrived at major retailers nationwide, meaning loads of people are confused and pondering if their copy is broken.

This in the biggest most ambitious PSN network title of the year. Its embarrassing and not sending out good signals of how the games maintenance in the future is gonna hold up. Flick that “ON” button on already.

I do have to agree with the sentiments about the servers. I’d LOVE to go home and see them switched on, but I’ll probably be disappointed… again. Still doesn’t take away from the awesomeness of the game though.

Servers are LIVE, I am online now. Restart your game though, and it will prompt you to accept the EULA. Beta levels are all there.

This post cracks me up. I’ve been playing LBP since last Tuesday. Thank god Toys R Us was confused with a street date of Oct. 21st, year 10000 in their system.

Although not having the servers online is a drag. Gives me more time to spend in the Create mode though, which I need. Alot.

I got mine on Saturday and it is a great fun game. I also wanted to give a proper thank you to Media Molecue and Sony for the beta keys that gave us a taste of the game initially too. The retail version offers SO much more and is highly recommended to every PS3 owner.

I wanted to let Media Molecue know though of a bug in the game, yesterday my PS3 froze in the Create mode during an “undo” step. The game froze during the video playback like process, and I was bummed because I was in the middle of testing out the tools in the game. Please make note of this for any future patch related fixes.

I can attest to the fact that the new game discs are in-fact patched. I played through the story mode with my ps3 disconnected from the internet until I got to the swingin’ safari level. The music is still there, there’s just no words to it. In my opinion, I like it better that way. Lyrics are distracting when you’re playing a game, even if they’re in a language you don’t understand. I just wish they would’ve done that to begin with instead of delaying the game.

I do think they must have already started making new patched discs a long time ago and had them set aside just in case. Otherwise there’d be no way a complete recall like this would only delay the game less than a week.

Glad to hear that the copies are coming out, does anyone know about Amazon? With copies hitting brick-and mortar retail this weekend will Amazon copies start arriving today? Tomorrow? Ack! Must….find…..out. :-) Mail…delivery…not….until…2:30….whimper whine

well i got my copy , but for some reason the cde on the card with the pre-order didn’t work… i just called ebgames to get a replacement for it.. am i the only one with this problem????

Servers are up. I’ve been on the servers for about an hour now and I have been loving it. I never was able to get into Beta but I am glad that they have the old Beta lvls still online cause now I can play the ones that I thought looked cool from the videos shown. Too bad the special codes do not work yet but hopefully in the next day or two they will activate the preorder codes.

Anyone know how I can switch from 2 player to one. I read the instruction but only mention online lol. My roomate jumped on the other controller and we where doing some playing. I could not Figure out how to switch it back to Just one Sack boy lol.

P.s I am still waiting for a Heavenly Sword: Kia’s Outfit ;)

I pre-ordered from Best Buy and received an email saying that they are coming out but won’t be available for in-store pickup for a while. It gave me a number to call to get it shipped for free. I called and they are shipping it express for free, but they cannot guarantee me anything before November 4th, and possibly as late as November 11th.

If I find it first somewhere else I will cancel the order, because I want the game now.

I have one question though: If I don’t get it in week-one do I lose out on the week-one bonuses? I have seen this asked a few times now without answer and I think that since this is not any fault of the customers or Best Buy we at least need an answer about whether or not we still get this or not. An explanation as to why or how would be even better, but a minimum yes or now would be appreciated.

@168… my understanding is that the patch has nothing to do with the background music, but instead adds some functionality and some costumes and stickers.

The game looks awesome, but with so many games coming out i don’t know what to buy, i’ll guess i’ll rent it first or wait for the Demo.
