Cool, hey Jeff, when are the LBP TV commercials going to start. The game comes out in 2 days and I haven’t seen any TV commercials for SCE’s biggest PS3 game, although I’ve seen TV ads for both Motorstorm and R2. Or did SCEA get upset about the delay and cancel all of the game’s marketing?

I do read N4G and, when I have the time, scan the boards at NeoGAF. There’s a lot of fanboy action on both sites, so try not to take things too personally.

Especially when you see garbage like this.

Jeff,
Good that they’ve started marketing LBP, but when will they kick it up a notch? The LBP TV ads aren’t being shown as frequently as the Motorstorm and R2 ads. Also, since LBP has a broader range of appeal, will it be advertised on family oriented networks like ABC/CBS/Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network/Disney etc, or will it be relegated to the usual gamer channels like MTV/BET/Spike/ESPN and G4TV?

Hi Jeff! How are doing? nice link you posted, & also i can’t wait for tomorrow for the GTA4 trophies,you know i have the game but i haven’t started playing it, my brother finished it before me & when i heard about the trophies i got excited & can’t wait to start the game.

I have a question Jeff if you don’t mind answering about the PSN store on PSP, on my PS3 i have 4 different accounts (US,UK,JPN & Hong Kong) & on my PSP i managed to sign in with my UK account but i want to know how can i also be able to access the other region accounts?

Haha, that article was awesome the first time I caught it on Kotaku. That site rules, and I love that you guys give them regular props. They deserve it. Jeff, you know what’s up. heh

Anywho, yeah, good week for news really. My favorite? Two of my favorite titles are getting trophy updates this upcoming week (PixelJunk Monsters AND GTA IV, woot!) plus all the stuff about LBP and whatnot, and I got into the Resistance 2 beta from the PSUnderground, it’s been a good week. Thanks a ton for the catch up Jeff!

Alot has changed since last year. I own more games than I know what to do with and there are so many titles I can’t justify getting; not because they suck, but because I just don’t have time for the ones I have now lol. Real change since last year, I’d say things are looking up.

That Resistance 2 ad is going to make it hard to Resist buying it. May have to cut back on PSN purchases as a result.

I like metacritic…can’t say I’ve EVER paid attention to user scores though…I always assumed they were not reliable…recent events are just accentuating that.

Personally I think metacritic should just do away with it…it is hurting their brand now.

but!

If this is true- why oh why wouldn’t anyone tell us it’s coming and to simply wait to download it?

The official line was “there is nothing wrong with the update, it is safe to download”

anyway, i hope they address this soon..

LBP is coming out tomorrow and a lot of PS3 owners won’t even be able to play it..

You guys need to overhaul your current marketing strategies to fit a broader demographic as opposed to just the tech-savvy. Make PS3 FUN!!!! and not grim or scary. Your current PS3 adds are atrocious at best, especially the way PLAYSTATION 3 appears at the end of your adds. This does not appeal to the general demographic. If you want to know what great adds are, look no further than the PS1 and PS2 adds. Snap out of it SONY. When will we be brought back to the glory days of playstation? Key word: Play. We need more appeal SONY, or else we’re done. U need to stop with these changes, and go back to what worked, i.e.-bring the color back into the playstation marketing emblem on the PS3 adds and on the boxes and everywhere. Be proud of playstation instead of trying to make it something that you feel fits company standards. People in general, right now, do not care about the PS3’s advance tech over our competitors, however, they do in fact care about the software and content of the system.
