I just bought my game couple days ago and didn’t have time to play till this weekend. After updating my PS3 software, double checking my network connections, still keep getting signed off while trying to update new software patch 1.2, If they would have put some of the game on the CD then I would be able to play something. Not sure in other states but in CA this is starting to sound like a scam possibly a class action lawsuit. There is no link on SOCOM’s website to download the update yourself, Slant6 website just has a number to call for support. I have majority of SOCOM’s, even PSP, At least with Zipper the game worked. Which are owned by Sony. I guess I’m hitting the 40th mark, hope I get an update soon.

I just bought mine today and I have spent the last 5 hours trying to get this to work. I am pissed. This is rookie crap. I am returning this [DELETED] first thing tomorrow.

I’ve had this game since day 1 and it’s given ma nothing but grief. Even after a few weeks of sketchy gameplay I am getting all these error messages, my PS3 keeps freezing, and , once again, I can’t log on the server. You can edit this if you want but this game is one of the worst [DELETED] EVER

I’ve had this game since day one and it’s given me nothing but grief! Even after a few weeks of sketchy game play, my PS3 freezing non stop and failures to log on the server, now I have even more error messages popping up.

just got my ps3 back from repair so updated my firmware n poped in socom n installed the game when i try to log in to the servers something pops out n says i need to install software update 1.20 so i try to install it but it keeps cancelling by itself tryed it about 15 times now still not installing.

anyone else got the same problem?
or anyone know a solution to the problem?

Ok. So I take it everyone is having the same problems I am. I just spent over an hour downloading 2.52 for the PS3, then when I load the game, it says I need to update to version 1.20 for SOCOM Confrontation. I try, and all the system does is time me out of the Playstation network. Do one of the devs want to explain to us that is going on here?
