  • @ coramoor

I already bought it and loved it. But the point isnt about Wipeout.

Its about PS1 classics. Its one area that is almost completely abandoned.

  • In-game Media Servers please. Thank you.

  • @30 FritoZ
I’m pretty sure all that nfs stuff is unlockable in-game (It was in the other ones). And the dlc is just a way for lazy/rich (maybe a combo of both?) people to “beat the game” faster, and EA gets to make money too. Personally I’d rather buy the game and beat it myself than pretty much buy it again and not do any work. um i think that made sense

  • @96 “This community is quickly degenerating into repetitive insensitive jerks who think the world owes them everything.”

Yea, I am such a jerk. What sort of an [DELETED] expects to be able to download the game he pays for?

This is my first Sony console and I am starting to really get irked by all the problems Sony seems to have as soon as the Internet is involved.

  • No Demos, no deal.

  • @Need for Speed DLC-

Do… do they think we’re lemmings? Like, really? I was planning on renting it. There’s no way in hell im going near a game that rips off consumers like that.
Its the biggest reason i hate microsoft. Nickle and Dimeing you for every penny they can get. Its the reason i dont use the X-Box, dont use Windows (Yeah, seriously sony. Start supporting the mac with your programs. I wanted that psp media manager – which is designed for people who are used to iTunes – and i cant even use it on my iMac), Dont have a Zune, and dont buy BOSE speakers.
Congratulations whoever-the-hell makes N4S – you just lost some money.

As for the LittleBigPlanet DLC. Thanks MediaMolecule! I really don’t understand why people think 99 cents is too much.
They obviously aren’t that hard to make, but i appreciate your work anyway. Im just curious where Solid Sack and Sackeroph are. I was looking forward to playing as Solid Sack. :)
Keep up the Playstation related costumes by the way! I love being Kratos.

  • @Need for Speed DLC-
@All the people who can’t read

Need for Speed content is already in the game. If you want to pay to unlock them immediately then do it. If not shut up and play the game and unlock them yourself.

    Simple.

  • I’ve decided…after 1.5 years and 20 UMD Games, 3 PSN Games and 12 UMD Movies to move on to custom firmware.

You have had NO content since the launch of he PSN WiFi store and I’m tired of waiting. I won’t steal game, but I will now convert my PS1 catalog to PSP…I was quite willing to rebuy those for the PSP but this is it.

Sorry Grace but you’ve lost a customer forever now.

  • Sorry Grace? She isn’t selling or porting the PS1 games. She’s only a senior manager. :|

  • @Clinton514…she is the Senior Manager in charge of the store. If she can’t get customers’ content….what is she doing?

PSP PSN has had nothing for over a month…they have, I think, 2 games coming out for the Christmas season…she NEVER addresses anyone here…and I’d imagine that people that come here and post are among the more rabid of PSP/PS3 fans and WANT the product to succeed.

I have well over 10 THOUSAND blog entries around the web fully supporting SONY/PS3/PSP but I am done with hoping they will support the PSP, it isn’t worth wishing for anymore.

  • I’ll put it simple… Disappointed… Sorry but it’s true.

  • It’s no surprise EA is releasing early DLC that is obviously already on the disc at a price.

    They will never friggin learn!

And this is not a huge update. This is just a bunch of stuff for about 6-7 games!

    Where is the themes?

  • WOW! Where the heck is the “Week 1” shirt for LBP. Stop playing with your US supporters and give what was promised from the get go. Really makes no sense. Japan got it, Europe got it but USA… NOTHING!!! Why? What’s the hold up?

On a lighter note… When can we expect SackBoy to show up in PAIN?

  • LMAO @ the NFS Undercover add ons, I honestly feel bad for anyone who bought that game and thought $60 was going to get them the full game

  • weres the demos!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MORE PS1 GAMES NOW!!!!!

  • if you could get some demos on there like cod5 or saints row 2 orresistatnce i would be happy

  • i gave this update 1 star because of no demo(s) and too many damn DLC from EA!!! geez

  • @kspraydad, I’m not questioning your “loyalty” or whatever it is people like to call it these days, I’m just wondering how much of a role does she has in deciding which games are being made PS3/PSP compatible.

  • Flower please. What’s going on with it?

  • “I-was-there-week-#-5” t-shirt for the win!!!

  • no age of booty demo? :(

    I’ll check the reviews.

  • Aw man, no Naruto stuff.

Speaking of which. I pre-ordered Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and GameStop hadn’t recieved the codes for Storm Pack 1. I was wondering if these were ever going to be released onto the PS Store anytime soon.

  • lots of complaints this week. I personally am happy for a week where I -don’t- find something I must have right then. I’ve finally whittled down my PS2 collection in between great PS3 games- all without a single complaint.

love the store, it don’t have anything I would call bad. I’m glad there isn’t a wide selection of shovel wares to dig through.

    Back to LBP!

  • @119…Her role is to manage the store…doesn’t that mean get content to the people that have bought your hardware…doesn’t that mean addressing your customers as to why there has been NOTHING for the PSP (except for a theme and a demo) for weeks on end…including 1 or 2 weeks of absolutely ZERO content?

Anyway…like I said, SONY’s mismanagement of the PSP in North America…of which Grace is supposed to be the ‘face’…has finally driven me to CFW just so I can have some ‘new’ content. THAT is a ridiculous situation for SONY to have created frankly.

  • My only question is that why were the rest of the PAIN characters $0.99 but The Hoff is $1.99? 99 cents is a bit steep for a character but $1.99 is almost a rip off. I know he’s a celebrity and all but jeez!

  • got me the ape lol sweet update and dam that was alot of stuff

  • now im waiting for the bioshock downloadable content
^.^ more trophies when i haven’t beaten the game yet lmao

  • Pretty good update, however, I don’t like that you must pay for the costumes… Free ones would be nice… or less money…

Oh well, I’m using my Mom’s credit card anyway lol.

  • Where are the PS1 games? I dont know how many people complain about that but if Sony wants to sell them they should do a better job of selecting good titles. Japan has tons of PS1 games. Whats the problem with throwing them up there? Space issues? What??

  • rating boards

  • seems like the NFS dlc should have been included IN THE GAME… definately won’t be getting that game or any of the DLC… and the price of the LBP costumes is rediculous… definately thinking twice about getting this game..

  • Wow, EA sure does love to soak its customers for as much money as possible. They might as well just call the retail game the starter pack.

And I’m not buying the LBP costumes. I only have so many nickels and dimes.

  • yea but the free costume is good, and so what if they want to charge, some will buy, some won’t

  • Is anyone else commenting on this blog getting their comments moderated even if they don’t have vulgar language?

  • Or a link in the comment.

  • The NPD sales are in and the ps3 sold only 190,000 in October, a decrease of 42,400 from the 232,400 in sales in September. LittleBigPlanet moved only 215,00 copies while Gears 2 moved 2 million in 5 days. I suspect there will be a price drop for the ps3 soon as well as the cancellation of the 160 GB model. If these things don’t happen I expect even lower sales in November for the ps3 despite the release of LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2. I hope Sony stops shooting itself in the foot and realizes that this down economy is going to make a serious impact on deciding which console to buy during the holidays.

  • you’re an idiot featurepreacher, stop yelling pointless crap no one cares about but you on this blog

    you’re analysis is very flawed

Gears 2 is a shooter meaning it will sell more, it’s a sequel, it has a much bigger advertising budget then LBP

and LBP is a long lasting game most likely, plus Gears 2 will sell 8 million + in it’s lifetime, at least thing logically, no game on ps3 can compare to gears atm

sony has already announced no price drop for 2008

  • @coramoor_
I’m not going to argue with your arrogance. Let’s just say you’re right. What are your predictions for Sony’s sales in November? I would really like to know so they can be compared with the NPD’s released in December. Is it safe to assume that you believe there will be no price drop for the ps3 this month and in December and that the 160 GB ps3 bundle will be released even though Sony cancelled the release of the 4GB psp entertainment pack?

  • Microsoft also stated in an article on the net that they would not be making any more price cuts any time soon. So it would behoove Sony to become price competitive by reducing the price of their console by $100.

  • Great update!

  • I meant to say or instead of and in the post to coramoor_.

  • @45 – Great ideas to enhance the PSN store!

  • FeaturePreacher- LBP numbers are hard to track for Oct. Since the original release was held back, some received the game before the 27th and others didn’t. Even during the week of the 27th some retailers didn’t have their copies in stock to sell. There was definitely confusion about when the game was actually coming out. Hopefully people are willing to take a chance on an unknown IP. I also hope LBP shows some legs in Nov.

Regarding NPD sales data for Sept and Oct. The PS3 sales DID NOT decrease. Sept was a 5 week month for tracking and October was a 4 week month for tracking. Week by week, PS3 sales did increase for Oct but not by much.

Marketing- I really hope Sony can learn from Microsoft and market their games. It is a shame that the only time I have seen a LBP commercial was online at Media Molecule’s site. There are no signs in stores, no commercials, nothing for consumers. I really hope they have something planned because if not this will be another example of a great game not being known because Sony failed to market it. Please prove us all wrong Sony and show us that you know how to successfully market your games. Not everyone is psychic.

  • @tirminyl

Marketing won’t hurt, but it’s not going to help as much as reducing the price of the hardware by $100.

  • @FeaturePreacherThe NPD sales are in and the ps3 sold only 190,000 in October, a decrease of 42,400 from the 232,400 in sales in September.1 i see you watch alot of xplay and everone know that they are xbolt heads on that show. 2 featurepreacher your wrong agin in worldwide sales the ps3 are selling more system then the 360 , but in the U S and Japan the 360 only have a small lead in system sales. 3 since you watch xplay you must miss the rest of that report because the 360 core is the one everone buying so you compairing a fullyloaded ps3 to a 360 core and you want sony to price cut? come on dude you know that a dumb ideal. 4 you are compairing gow2 sell to lbp? we all know sequal in any field will sell more because of fan base. men lie , women lie but number dont

  • and to answer your question Is anyone else commenting on this blog getting their comments moderated even if they don’t have vulgar language?FeaturePreacher you made some comment last week about women game brest and me been and male found your comment wrong and off base and have nothing to do with this blog you should go to the playboy blog with those comment. i really love reading your comment on game topic

  • TO ALL YOU COMPLAINERS WHO CAN’T READ!!!

THE NFS DLC IS ALREADY IN THE GAME!

IT’S THERE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO UNLOCK EVERYTHING EARLY!!!

IF YOU DON’T WANT TO PAY, THEN PLAY THE DAMN GAME AND UNLOCK IT ALL YOURSELF!

AND SONY…YOU NEED TO POST THE ABOVE FACTS AS A NEW BLOG – AS EVIDENTALLY SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST TOO STUPID TO READ.

  • Testing.

  • @chriscowboyd
I didn’t even watch X-play. I rarely see most of G4 since its somewhat boring to me. I first saw the NPD figures at ps3fanboy, and we all know how much they hate the ps3, right? As for sequels doing better than previous title, I wonder if that’ll apply to the latest SOCOM which sold 231,000. Hopefully it’ll apply to Resistance 2. But you seem pretty knowledgeable, so why not tell me your predictions for where Sony goes from here. Do they lower the price to $299 and scrap the 160 GB model or do they keep the price as it is now and still release the 160GB model? What do you believe the November NPD’s will say about the ps3 when they come out in December? Will they be greater or lower than the figures for October? Please, let everyone see how brilliant you are.
