Why am i getting these damn errors? I want the LBP skins (especially cause i payed for one)

102

Liamario  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:03 pm

Great update, but I feel, as do others that SSFTTHDR Special Champion Hyper XXX Edition has been released too late and priced too highly. The price is especially an issue where we’ll have to pay more for no reason at all for the exact same content. But on saying that, kudos to Capcom, who are really impressing the gamers lately, which thankfully is something that Sony have started showing they are capable of.

103

Tattood  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:03 pm

Yep, getting the same error as everyone else on those downloads 80029567

104

StalkingSilence  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:03 pm

Who published/produced the Brain game (PS3) and the Bullriding game (PSP)? I want to find out more info.

105

Atoms  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:06 pm

Something is wrong with DEADSPACE. I keep getting an error during download.

106

C-h-a-o-s  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:07 pm

107

nofearintheworld  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:09 pm

108

LegendarySWE  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:10 pm

I’ll wait for them to fix the error.

109

velvetelvis  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:12 pm

yea for the dead space demo… booo on the no ssd. yea if you have rock band or guitar hero. and what the heck is pbr? wasnt something mentioned about a global release system? i hope that happens soon.

“And you know this how? I seriously doubt they’re going to fix it until Monday seeing as the update was today due to the Holiday break.”

And you know this how? My office works half day Wednesday. Maybe they do at Sony too. I don’t think everyone just goes home and they close the whole system down for the holidays. Isn’t this part of Sony’s big network? They most likely have technicians who work on problems seven days a week or at least can.

111

wavesln  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:17 pm

Nice update.

112

maximiliano  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:18 pm

Aaaw man, what’s with this 80710102 DNS error ? =/

113

tirminyl  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:18 pm

@StalkingSilence:

Brain is developed by Gameloft. PBR is D2C Games

114

tirminyl  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:20 pm

#98- I agree. Any business will have support especially after they push items out to production, or out to the consumers. They don’t just say “Here you go, see you next week”.

115

SpookyJuice  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:22 pm

Im also experiencing the download problem with the LittleBigPlanet DLC

116

isolatebody  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:24 pm

PJ eden on sale, I’m gonna get it now.

117

Stoffinator  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:26 pm

Why aren’t any thing from the store download?

118

Captain__Planet  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:27 pm

We all are experiencing the DLing problem, so lets stop with stating the obvious. Just either wait for an update by Grace here, or call Sony.

119

GL0cKoP0P  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:31 pm

Why can’t one of the employees at SCEA address this ISSUE!!!!

can one of you comment PLEASE!
I would like to know WTF is going ON!!

I hope when I write about this on some of the major gaming blogs its in your weekly RECAP on SUNDAY..

You know
Around The Web “What We Read”
PS Store update on 11/25 = EPIC FAIL

I hope that is at the top of the list..

Now I’m off to spread the news.

120

zerocolin6  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:35 pm

seriously, whats up with the error.

121

Captain__Planet  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:36 pm

@119
relax dude. the only thing thats not working is new LBP costumes and a demo. those things arent even the most anticipated thing released 2day (street fighter). this happened a few weeks ago with age of booty, which was the most anticipated thing that week, and they got it fixed soon enough, so just wait and chill

122

KingBroly  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:36 pm

Definitely can’t download Dead Space demo or Turkey Head costume for some reason.

123

JuJuRMJ  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:45 pm

Cool, immediately downloading the Dead Space demo and the Punisher trailer. Hopefully this movie is really good when it releases!

124

TheGraciousOne  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:49 pm

I’m not one to complain but I can’t log into the forums on the PSP. Now I know what you are thinking, who logs into the PlayStation forums on the PSP…I do and I will continue to do so if only Sony would let me. So what is the deal?

125

Bender Rodriguez  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:49 pm

Why the Tuesday update? Also why are some games costing $15 now? Anyone know if it’s, because of the economic crisis the world is in?

126

schwaa  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:51 pm

Great update! Chimera Sackboy is awesome

127

GL0cKoP0P  |  November 25th, 2008 at 4:52 pm

@121
and its ok with you that this has happened before on a network owned by one of the largest technology and multimedia companies on the planet, and the first time it happened the issue that caused it wasn’t corrected to make sure it wouldn’t happen again???

So i should say O don’t worry its cool i know you were busy updating the Playstation website this week so F-it post a bunch of stuff in the store (one of which is not free)
I’ll pay for it now and then you let me download it when you feel like it..
Ya that’s what I’ll do thanks CAPTAIN_PLANET. I don’t know what I would do without your calm, relaxed approach to this complete FAILURE by SONY.
Maybe SONY should make a game called FAILURE.
They shouldn’t have a hard time finding people to work on it or even buying it since so many people think its just fine when things FAIL.

just calm down this happened before.
So what my dog has taken a dump on the floor before and I don’t think its ok if he does it again just because its happened before.

128

Wild_Man_X  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:00 pm

The downloads are working now!

129

Skater  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:01 pm

LBP costumes and Dead Space demo work now. Good job, Sony.

130

cell989  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:03 pm

YYEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!! Street Fighter finally!!!!!!!. I’ll be getting me some Ryu&Ken

131

cell989  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:06 pm

I hope with the DEMO of deadspace, people can really appreciate the innovation in this game. The sales figures did not do justice to this awesome thriller. DeadSpace deserves to be a million seller.

132

darkedgex  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:07 pm

Just a general comment on PS Store updates:

Please do your updates at midnight (even if you don’t post this blog entry until the afternoon). XBox 360 does their updates at midnight or 2 AM, and it would have been nice to have had Street Fighter earlier (especially considering the PS3 is getting it a day ahead of the 360).

These arbitrary middle of the day releases need to stop.

It’d also help if you’d do content updates every day so content creators can releases titles whenever they’d like (my understanding is that you pretty much require content to be released on these scheduled days). While having a unified release seems nice I suppose, it’s probably harming you more than it’s helping you.

Just some thoughts.

133

ChuckD  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:15 pm

What the heck? So are updates changing days now?!

134

Johnny Cullen  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:23 pm

@ 133: No.

Because of Thanksgiving being on Thursday, it’s an early update but the EU store still updates on Thursday.

135

lilman25  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:36 pm

When is the smackdown vs raw 2009 downloadable characters update coming.

136

Netweb  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:38 pm

Why SF II Turbo HD don’t would be launched on EU Store?

137

gamer812  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:40 pm

Simply fantastic.

138

indigovenom  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:50 pm

141

ftown  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:54 pm

142

DMeisterJ  |  November 25th, 2008 at 5:58 pm

The PSP Store must have been a tease.

I mean, there is a serious lack of content on there. >_>

143

My thanks and best wishes. :D

146

EnigmaNemesis  |  November 25th, 2008 at 6:38 pm

Street Fighter defaults to 720p, and I have to disable 720p in my PS3 display settings in order to force it 1080p … can there be a fix?

147

SDkngsht  |  November 25th, 2008 at 7:04 pm

@98…

i think you should buy the PSN team all drinks for that comment. since i’m downloading now and they fixed it TODAY.

jesus you people are impatient and often ridiculously negative for no apparent reason at all.

148

SDkngsht  |  November 25th, 2008 at 7:06 pm

@146…

NBA 2k9 does that too. it’s annoying as hell. what’s the point of a game having 1080p if it defaults to 720? i bought this big @$$ lcd for a reason. so there wasn’t any need to default to a lower setting.

149

SDkngsht  |  November 25th, 2008 at 7:07 pm

at minimum there should a game setting we should be able to change on the games that do that. which would be up to the game studios to include.

150

lilbuddy  |  November 25th, 2008 at 7:21 pm

I must have missed something….tuesday??

Wolf, Dead Space and LBP for me :-) I’ll also have to check out Brain Challenge

Hmmm Last Guy might be an option as well.
